Up for sale a very nice one owner 2008 Supercharged Toyota Tacoma PreRunner. The Intercooled Supercharged is spacifically designed and engineered by Toyota Racing Development for the 1GR (4.0L V6) . The engine has been SAE rated at 304hp and 334 ft lbs of torque and is 50 states emissions legal with a California Air Resources Board EO number that satisifies all compliance laws. To compliment the Supercharger a TRD Performance Air Intake system has been added. A 5 speed automatic transmission work extremely well with this combination.
The TRD Sport Package is a factory option code PY and includes : Limited Slip Differential / Cruise / Tilt Wheel / Sport Seats / Hood Scoop / Fog Lamps / Sliding Rear Window / 115V 400W Power Point / Overhead Gague Console / Power Windows, Door Locks. Mirrors, The Sport Seats are by far some of the most comfortable seats available with terrific lateral support.
The truck was ordered with the factory Towing Package code TO : 6500 towing capacity / Reciever Hitch / Wiring Harness / Oil Cooler / 130A Alternator
The truck has never been damaged or repaired there are several small rocks chips from normal AZ highway driving, but no dings or dents. There is a small area of ware on the outside of the drivers seat from sliding into and out-of the vehicle (see imaage)
The Supercharger has all the quality and reliability you have come except from a Toyota product coupled with great attention to detail and remarkable fit and finish provided by TRD. To establish the relaibility that Toyota demands TRD has put engine , supercharger and drive-train through a rigerious test regiment with repeated durability cycles each follwed by completed disassembly and eximanitation then reassembled and retested to insure all components are within strict Toyota tolerances.
TRD uses the enternal bypass valve to regulate boost conditions and improve fuel milage . I average a highway 22-23 mpg . The boost is mechnically fixed at 6.5 psi.The system is seemless and non-intrusive and requires no maintenance. Toyota quality with susprising performance and no hassle or nonsense. The MSRP for the S/C is $4200 plus installation . A fun practical vehicle. Truely no disappointmsnts . Priced approperatly.
All the take-off parts come with purchase icluding : replacement belt, extra air filter amd air box, trailer ball and plug. Battery replace 7/12 and tires 10,000 miles from new. Just serviced at local Toyota dealer.

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Toyota GT86 gets TRD treatment in UK
Fri, 08 Feb 2013As dearly as we love the Toyota GT86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ franchise, we readily admit we wouldn't look sideways at a model with a bit more firepower. And while that's not quite on the table yet, Toyota has been busy amping up the visual firepower of its rear-drive coupe with a whole host of TRD parts. To this point, that's been a largely à la carte affair, but the automaker's UK outpost has just announced a special-edition model that allows our British friends to pick up the whole shooting match all in one go.
The Toyota GT86 TRD will only be available in black and white, and just 250 examples are to be built. As you can see from the excellent gallery above, the catalog of look-faster bits include a more aggressive front air dam, side skirts, rear bumper fascia, spoiler and unique 18-inch forged alloys. Additional flourishes include a TRD shift lever and branded radiator cap. The sole concession to actual performance? A "fast-response quad exhaust" that might only improve things audibly - 0-62 mph is apparently unchanged at 7.7 seconds, and the top end is still 140 mph for the manual transmission model. (The auto gets by with 8.4 seconds and 130 mph).
Pricing? Glad you asked. £31,495 for GT 86 TRD manual, £32,995 for the automatic - that's nearly $50,000 US for the tripedalist and just over for the automatic. (Those are heady prices, but bear in mind that UK MSRPs and taxes are generally significantly higher than their US counterparts). If the standard GT86 is more your speed, it still rings up at a more affordable £24,995 - roughly $39,500 - leaving plenty of budget for actual performance parts. No word yet on North American availability of a special TRD model, but we've got a call in...
Toyota launches new Pixis Epoch kei car in Japan
Sat, 12 May 2012Kei cars may be small in size, but they're big business in Japan. The latest arrival to the category is the little hatch you see above, the Toyota Pixis Epoch.
It's the fourth vehicle produced by the Daihatsu division but sold under the Toyota brand. As with other keis, power comes from a 660cc engine. It's mated to a continuously variable transmission driving either just the front wheels or all four. In both configurations, the Pixis Epoch features a stop-start system that helps its emissions and fuel efficiency figures come in well below even the Japanese government's stringent standards.
The whole package measures just 3,395 mm (133 inches) long, 1,475 mm (58 inches) wide and 1,500 mm (59 inches) tall, but offers a relatively spacious and utile interior, plus a tight turning radius of just 4.4 meters. Pricing ranges from 795,000 to 1.2 million yen - that's less than $10,000 (and no more than $15k). Further details in the press release after the jump.
