NOTE: There should be 100
pictures of every part of the vehicle, if you aren't seeing them try reloading the page and scrolling down through the center.  The last pictures are of the engine compartment.

Up for sale is a Super clean, fully loaded, and hard to find 2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4x4.  There has only been 1-Owner since brand new in 2004.  It has both clean Carfax and Autocheck Vehicle History Reports.  This was a non-smoker truck and it runs and drives 100%!
I have offered and sold 65+ 1995-2004 Tacomas on eBay in the past year.

The exterior is in excellent condition.  The original "Lunar Mist Metallic" paint shines beautifully.  The entire truck is very nice with only two minor flaws to mention.  A dent in the front bumper, and a ding/small scratches in the tailgate.   The body is completely rust free, including the bottoms of the doors.  The undercarriage is very nice and clearly well taken care of.  It has the original frame which has been fully inspected and undercoated by Toyota.  There are no rust issues or perforation. The rear end is clean and dry, and there are no leaks underneath.  Even the wheels are completely free of corrosion.

The interior is very nice and clean.  The carpets, seats, dashboard, glass, and headliner are all in great shape.  There aren't any smoke smells, burns, or marks inside.  There is also an unused cigarette lighter.  The bezel around the vents as you can see in the pictures have three small screw holes from a previous notepad holder.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Toyota Tacoma has many nice features and options!

- 3.4L V6 Engine

- Automatic Transmission

- Push-Button 4-Wheel-Drive

- TRD Off-Road Package with Rear Differential Locker

- Ice Cold Air Conditioning

- Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors

- Cruise Control

- Tilt Steering

- Dual Airbags

- Bedliner

- Hood Protector

- Sliding Rear Window

- Tinted Windows with Window "Ventshades"

- CD Player w/Cassette

- ABS Brakes

- Keyless Entry and Remote Start

This Tacoma runs and drives perfect as you would expect.  Everything works as it should.  The 3.4L 6-Cylinder engine starts instantly and runs great.  The transmission shifts nice and smooth and the 4-Wheel-Drive works exactly as it should.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  There are no exhaust leaks.  The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well.  We have run our check fully through the shop.  The Timing Belt was replaced @90,015 miles at Colonial Toyota in 2009.  It has a brand new Air Filter and 4 Brand New Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires!

I have 1 Key, 1 Remote, the owners manual, clean CarFax report, the full size spare tire, jack, tools, and a clean/clear title.

Volvo S90 Recharge, Lexus RX 350 and spring beer picks | Autoblog Podcast #679

Fri, May 21 2021

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski. They start off discussing the Volvo S90 Recharge and wonder out loud why the brand's plug-in technology isn't also offered with a wagon body style. They then discuss the Lexus RX350 and why it's likely an ideal premium crossover for a large percentage of buyers. From there, Greg and Jeremy cover some recent news items, including the current state of BMW's coupes and rumors that Toyota's next Land Cruiser will lose its V8 engine in favor of a turbocharged V6. Then it's time to go over some of our current favorite spring beers before turning to the mailbag and spending some listener's money. The 2022 Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR 86 aftermarket upgrader's guide

Wed, Sep 1 2021

When you own an enthusiast car, there are few events more nerve-wracking than the introduction of its successor. Should you upgrade? Is it worthwhile? What will it cost you to part out your mods and trade up? Well, there's good news for owners of the outgoing Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ who are considering an upgrade: You might not have to start with a clean slate.  If you’re an owner (or even a casual fan) of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 family of sports coupes, youÂ’re probably already aware that the 2022 models are more like aggressive overhauls than true, ground-up redesigns. Neither company really wants to put a spotlight on the fact that their coupes are a little less "all-new" and a little more "back and better than ever," but in our opinion, this is something Subaru and Toyota should embrace.  Why? In a word: continuity. Look no further than the NA (1989-1997) and NB (1999-2005) Mazda Miata. While they are regarded as distinct generations (the NA defined by its pop-up headlights and simpler lines; the NB by its fixed lamps and swoopier styling) and were offered with different equipment packages, the fundamental underlying chassis remained relatively unchanged. This meant that, in many cases at least, buyers could trade up to a new model but bring along some of their factory and aftermarket accessories because theyÂ’d still fit. The BRZ and GR 86 are meant to be fairly bare-bones vehicles, the idea being that they appeal to those who want limited frills at a low cost and those who prefer to view cars as canvases rather than finished masterpieces. A long-running platform makes an excellent candidate for the latter type of car buyer. So, what does that mean for the 2022 BRZ and GR 86? Well, let's break it down by whatÂ’s truly new, whatÂ’s kind-of-new, and whatÂ’s essentially carry-over, with some guidance from Subaru and Toyota engineers.  2022 Subaru BRZ blue action profile View 22 Photos Spankin' new LetÂ’s start with the obvious: the styling. Even if you can find older aftermarket appearance kits that will fit the new BRZ and GR 86 on paper, they probably wonÂ’t bolt up nicely to the new cars due to their sleek new exterior designs. Wings and spoilers might still bolt up, but donÂ’t count on it, and theyÂ’ll probably look disjointed at best anyway.

How many Toyotas are potentially affected by seat fabric problem?

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

When we reported yesterday on Toyota's stop-sale order of certain 2013 and 2014 models due to an issue with the fabrics on models with heated seats not conforming to flammability regulations, one of our many questions was how many vehicles were affected? More importantly, how many of those cars have already found homes?
Kelley Blue Book has the troubling statistics. Every 2013 and 2014 Avalon features heated seats. 6.2-percent of 2013 and 4.5-percent of 2014 Camry sedans, meanwhile, were sold with heated seats. That doesn't seem as bad as 100-percent of the larger Avalon, until you consider the Camry's huge volume - the 5.6-percent average still accounts for a lot of cars. Sienna minivans are heavily affected as well, with a total of 37-percent of 2013s and 46-percent of 2014s fitted with butt warmers. The stop-sale only affects 7-percent of 2014 Corolla models, but like the Camry, that number is rather misleading due to the sheer volume of cars Toyota moves. You can see the entire breakdown of percentages by clicking on the inset image.
According to Karl Brauer, a senior analyst for KBB, this problem comes at the worst possible time. "Given that much of the US is currently in the grips of a record cold snap, there's sure to be high demand for models with seat heaters," Brauer notes. The stop-sale order is a good first step, but it doesn't do anything to inform consumers who currently own the affected models and may, in these frosty temperatures, want to use their seat heaters. "Should owners of those vehicles stop using the seat heaters?" Brauer asked.
