2001 Toyota Tacoma Pre Runner Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 3.4L, V6 engine. The inside is very nice and the outside has several dents as shown in the photos. It has a tow package and fairly new over-sized tires. It's in great running condition and has been mechanically well taken care of. Cosmetically, it has several small size dents and scratches and some of the paint is peeling on the black trim strips around the windows, but has never been in an accident. Not all of the dents are shown in the photos, they just didn't show up very well. It has a grille and side bumper guards. The tailgate has the largest dent in it, see photo, caused by a drive-thru carwash, but it works fine. The bed has the factory Toyota liner that's in excellent condition and has built-in tie downs. It has front disk-brakes and rear-drum brakes. The windows are power switch controlled, work well and have a slight tint to them. It also has driver and passenger power mirrors. The AC works extremely well and gets cold quickly, as does the heater (gets hot quickly). The radio has a CD player and a cassette player that works nicely. There is also center console storage with several compartments. It has both driver and passenger air bag systems. The interior is clothe and is in very nice condition with no rips or tears. The back seat folds down for greater storage behind it. Also, can include a tonneau cover for $300.00, needs paint. The interior is in very nice condition and shows little to normal wear. Most everything works, except the alarm and the remote key entry. It does have power door locks and child proof windows and rear doors. The engine runs very strong and has been recently tuned. This is a "used" vehicle that shows its age and wear and you're welcome to make arrangements to see it, before bidding. Please ask questions by email. Thanks for looking...

Toyota previews new C-HR crossover concept bound for Paris
Mon, 15 Sep 2014We're now just a few weeks away from the start of the Paris Motor Show, and when the doors open at the Porte de Versailles, Toyota will be among the many automakers with new wares to show - including the new concept car pictured in this latest teaser image.
Called the C-HR, the concept is designed to represent an "innovative vision for a compact crossover model", incorporating "a new design language with an engaging driving experience and a hybrid powertrain." The Japanese industrial giant isn't saying much else, but the C-HR is set to debut alongside the finalized exterior design for its upcoming new fuel cell sedan.
Toyota, of course, became a pioneer in the compact crossover segment when it introduced the first-generation RAV4 way back in 1994. If the silhouette is anything to go by, however, the C-HR concept appears to adopt a far more streamlined form. Watch this space for more.
Impala crashes into Land Cruiser... to hide from a cheetah
Fri, 12 Jul 2013What would you do if a wild animal jumped into your vehicle through an open window during an African safari? What if said animal was an impala being chased by cheetahs? Though the scenario seems unbelievable, that's just what happened to a group of tourists in Kruger National Park in South Africa, and it was all caught on video.
With the tour groups stopped, a motorist with a video camera handy happens to catch the unlikely sight of a herd of impalas (not that kind of Impala) jumping over the tarmac while being followed, quickly of course, by two cheetahs. The feline predators thought they had cornered one impala and were closing in for the kill when it jumped through the open window of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado - South Africa's version of the Lexus GX. Fortunately for the occupants of said vehicle, the cheetahs did not follow.
A short while later, one of the occupants in the Toyota fearlessly opens a door to let the poor animal out. It must have been its lucky day, because the cheetahs didn't take pursuit. Check out the circle life get interrupted by this traffic jam in the video below.
Toyota Hilux successor spotted
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The midsize truck segment is suddenly seemingly exploding with new vehicles worldwide, even here in North America. Not only will the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon be available very soon, Toyota is already testing a replacement for its aging Tacoma and Honda has promised a Ridgeline replacement within the next 18 months. Also, the recently shown Nissan Navara is said to portend the future of our Frontier. Here's some more fresh evidence from Europe of this pickup boom with the next generation of its venerable Hilux in testing.
Thanks to Top Gear and sometimes the evening news, the Hilux has built a reputation of being able to go just about anywhere. According to out spy shooter, this particular pickup was spotted during hot weather testing in southern Europe. Interestingly, a Volkswagen Amarok was along for the ride as a benchmark. Because the VW tends to offer a bit more comfort than the generally utilitarian Hilux, this could indicate Toyota is considering taking the new truck in a slightly comfier, more refined direction.
Compared to the current model, this camouflaged tester sports a narrower front grille and headlights. The hood scoop is also absent here. The lower air dam also receives a more horizontal look, but the more vertical fog light housings provide some contrast. The crazy camouflage pattern makes things hard to discern at the rear, but the taillights appear to be more slender than they on the current model. Unfortunately, mechanical details about the new truck remain a mystery at the moment, but enjoy these spy shots as a preview of one more upcoming pickup.
