2nd owner with an original 18,007 miles. you will not find a better Tacoma in this condition with so little miles.
Purchased the truck from a dealer in CT in April 2013, wife lost her job needed to sell now wife is back to work but now need to upgrade to a 4dr Tacoma so I can drive my young girls around safely. If it is not one thing it is another. I spent 10,400 in April, then 1250 to ship it to MN then took to Toyota dealer and spent another 700+ to completely go through the truck and replace all fluids and fix 2 minor leaks (speedo cable and front right caliper). After that I spent another 550 for a Line X bedliner. You do the math. This truck in good condition is worth 11K and I would put it at an 8 out of 10, much better than good condition. The only thing this truck does not have is AC. Brand new tires with about 800 miles on them. New rear shocks, replaced passenger side shock mouth with an aftermarket off road mount that is much stronger than factory. Original mount broke. Shifts like new all glass is original and in perfect condition with no cracks. Great clean interior. The truck sells itself. I am a US Army Soldier on a remote assignment to Mankato MN. Been serving our great country for 24 years and counting. I would drive this truck back and forth across country with no worries. USAA holds the title to the truck and once funds are provided they will release to you. This is the last time this truck will go up for sale. If it does not sell this time it will stay with me for life as this is my favorite body style just do not need 2 trucks in drive way. I would rather have someone else enjoy this great truck. Also the entire undercarriage has been sprayed with undercoating to protect it from the elements. Any questions please ask. All reasonable offers will be accepted and the truck is for sale locally and can be pulled at anytime. Truck is being sold as is. Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost. I can assist to get the truck anywhere for an addition cost depending where it is. I am located approximately 75 miles south of the Twin Cities. Bid with confidence with 100% rating.
On Sep-30-13 at 03:43:49 PDT, seller added the following information:
Per the original owners, the frame was inspected by Toyota and deemed completely SOLID with no rust issues. The previous owners undercoated to protect the vehicle from rust issues. Surface rust on rear end and other exposed components as seen in photos; purely surface with NO rot.

Minivan market not what it used to be, but margins make up for it
Thu, 05 Jun 2014
Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.
Toyota unintended acceleration lawsuit settled for $16M
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Slowly, the many loose threads still dangling after the unintended acceleration issue Toyota faced a few years ago are being resolved. The Orange County District Attorney's office was believed to be the first DA's office to take Toyota to court, its suit alleging that Toyota knew its cars had defects and continued to sell them. The suit sought to "permanently enjoin Toyota from continued unlawful, unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent business practices as it pertains to both consumers and competitors" and asked for $2,500 "for every violation of the Unfair Business Practices Act," plus costs.
That suit has now been settled, Toyota - without admitting fault or wrongdoing - agreeing to pay $16 million to the county. Half of the money will go to the Orange County Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership, another four million dollars to the OC DA's office to investigate economic crime, the remaining four million being used to pay for the case.
Brand new cars are being sold with defective Takata airbags
Wed, Jun 1 2016If you just bought a 2016 Audi TT, 2017 Audi R8, 2016–17 Mitsubishi i-MiEV, or 2016 Volkswagen CC, we have some unsettling news for you. A report provided to a US Senate committee that oversees the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and reported on by Automotive News claims these vehicles were sold with defective Takata airbags. And it gets worse. Toyota and FCA are called out in the report for continuing to build vehicles that will need to be recalled down the line for the same issue. That's not all. The report also states that of the airbags that have been replaced already in the Takata recall campaign, 2.1 million will need to eventually be replaced again. They don't have the drying agent that prevents the degradation of the ammonium nitrate, which can lead to explosions that can destroy the airbag housing and propel metal fragments at occupants. So these airbags are out there already. We're not done yet. There's also a stockpile of about 580,000 airbags waiting to be installed in cars coming in to have their defective airbags replaced. These 580k airbags also don't have the drying agent. They'll need to be replaced down the road, too. A new vehicle with a defective Takata airbag should be safe to drive, but that margin of safety decreases with time. If all this has you spinning around in a frustrated, agitated mess, there's a silver lining that is better than it sounds. So take a breath, run your fingers through your hair, and read on. Our best evidence right now demonstrates that defective Takata airbags – those without the drying agent that prevents humidity from degrading the ammonium nitrate propellant – aren't dangerous yet. It takes a long period of time combined with high humidity for them to reach the point where they can rupture their housing and cause serious injury. It's a matter of years, not days. So a new vehicle with a defective Takata airbag should be safe to drive, but that margin of safety decreases with time – and six years seems to be about as early as the degradation happens in the worst possible scenario. All this is small comfort for the millions of people who just realized their brand-new car has a time bomb installed in the wheel or dashboard, or the owners who waited patiently to have their airbags replaced only to discover that the new airbag is probably defective in the same way (although newer and safer!) as the old one.
