Original bumper is on the car now. I got it last year, let one of my guys drive it to a car show and he had an appointment with a guard rail. He hit the right front fender and front bumper. Thus the original bumper being fixed and put back in the car. Radiator Support was bent slightly. It was a very easy fix. Adjuster was a very cool guy and let me change whatever I wanted. So I got a brand new fender . Although I could have fixed the old one. But I did not want to deal with it. Got the original bumper fixed and painted got the hood painted black while I was at it. Because I can’t stand carbon fiber look. Personal prefeence. I was building an sc400 and we needed an engine so we took the motor out of this one and put it in the sc400. And had another Gte block rebuilt while we had the engine out. We sprayed under the hood to give it a fresh look. GSD tuned the car. Downfall is it has MAP Ecu. With greddy 720 injectors.. It has what I am told a older style TRD clutch. Car made 500rwhp at 17.5 psi. HKSGT2835 Twin Turbo Kit, HKS Type-R Front mount Intercooler, HKS264 Cams, HKS Super Dragger Exhaust, HKS Catless Down pipe, AEM Cam Gears, HKS Fuel Rail, Greddy 720cc Injectors, Aeromotive AFPR, Dual in Tank Denso Fuel Pumps, AEM UEGO Wide Band, HKS Boost Controller, MAP ECU, EIBACH Springs, KYB Struts, Greddy Rear Strut tower Brace, VIS Carbon Hood, Painted gloss black to match car, European Glass Headlights, 20” TSW Wheels Powder coated Gloss Black. Toyota recalling 20k 2014 and 2015 cars and CUVs with 3.5L engines
Thu, 18 Sep 2014Toyota has announced a recall of roughly 20,000 vehicles covering the 2014 Avalon, Camry, Highlander (pictured) and Sienna, as well as the 2015 Lexus RX luxury crossover. The affected vehicles are all powered the 2GR-FE engine, which in layman's terms, is Toyota's well-regarded 3.5-liter V6.
According to Toyota's statement, a parts supplier might not have welded "the end cap on the right-hand fuel delivery pipe in the engine compartment" correctly, meaning fuel could leak. Leaking fuel, of course, increases the chance of an engine fire. That said, no fires, crashes or injuries have been reported due to the issue.
Owners will be notified to report to dealers, where techs will check the fuel delivery pipe and fit a replacement part as necessary.
2014 Toyota Highlander to start at $30,075*
Tue, 17 Dec 2013We now have pricing for Toyota's redesigned 2014 Highlander, which is seeing moderate price hikes across the board. Prices for the popular crossover have been bumped from less than 1 percent to less than 3 percent on lower-end models (anywhere from $125 to $890, depending on trim). Toyota has increased prices on higher-end XLE and Limited models more substantially - between 4.1 and 4.5 percent ($1,480 to $1,700). The Highlander Hybrid sees its price increase 2 percent ($930). The new model will be available in four different trims and with either front or all-wheel drive.
The absolute cheapest member of the Highlander range, the base LE, with a four-cylinder and front-wheel drive starts at $30,075, an increase of just $195. The LE is also available with a V6 and all-wheel drive, with the bigger engine upping the price to $31,380. All-wheel drive models start at $32,840. A slightly pricier LE Plus starts at $33,600 for a V6 FWD model and $35,060 if you add all-wheel drive.
Next up, we have the XLE, which starts at $36,900 for FWD models and moves up to $38,360 for AWD. The top-tier Limited model starts at $40,500 in FWD spec, grips-at-all-fours versions will retail for $41,960. For those that want the very top of the Highlander range, there's the Platinum Pack, which adds the Driver's Tech Pack (adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning, lane departure warning and automatic high beams), a panoramic moonroof, heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats to the already well-equipped Limited model. Highlander Platinums start at $42,990 and $44,450, depending on how many tires are doing the work. (Note: All prices include an $860 destination and handling charge.)
Toyota Camry Hybrid SE adds a dash of limited-edition sport
Tue, 04 Feb 2014For drivers who want to benefit from the increased efficiency of a hybrid sedan but who don't want to look like they'd rather be hugging trees, Toyota has just announced its 2014.5 Camry Hybrid SE Limited Edition.
The SE LTD combines the exterior bits and pieces that make the SE look sportier than other Camry models with the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, electric motor and nickel metal hydride battery pack of the Camry Hybrid. That means the Hybrid SE offers up 200 combined system horsepower to the front wheels, and we'd expect it to be rated at the same 40 miles per gallon city and 38 highway of the Camry XLE Hybrid.
Only 5,000 units will be produced between February and June of 2014, with an asking price of $27,845, which is about $700 more expensive than the base Camry Hybrid LE or $2,620 less than the Hybrid XLE that Toyota says shares a similar level of equipment. Sounds like a fair shake to us. Scroll down below for the complete press release.
