Hi, I have for sale here is a 1992 Toyota Supra, Auto, turbo, targa top with only 90k miles on the clock. I bought this car from a friend of mine who wanted to fix it but then he gave up. It has been sitting at least 10 years before I got it. I got it when it didn't run. I checked timing, camshaft position sensor and it still didn't work. There was no fuel pressure, so I decided to replace the fuel pump. I put a brand-new MK4 Supra twin turbo fuel pump in there and then YES the car runs great again.

There is some issues since it's been sitting for too long:

1. There are surface rust under the carriage. You will need to sand down and paint rust resistance paint.

2. Left rear quarter panel has rusted through, please refer to the picture.

3. Radiator fan shroud is broken.

4. Some radiator fan blades are broken but evenly.

5. Oxygen sensor wiring is messed up, you will need a new O2 sensor (the one on the turbo elbow.)

6. I think idle valve control sensor has gone bad (but it could be the bad O2 sensor as well.) It idles but at a very low rpm and will shut down if you don't drive the car with 2 feet (one on brake pedal and one on gas pedal.)

7. Power steering fluid is leaking at the rack and pinion area. There is no power steering at the moment.

8. Back seat has a hole due to a squirrel literally messed it up (I had my windows down at that time and there are some acorn nuts shells next to that hole, it's ridiculous.) But on a good note, back seat is very easy to obtain if you want to make it perfect.

9. Trunk cable is loose. Trunk won't close completely.

10. AC works but needs recharge.

11. The odometer shows 90k and some change, but when the previous owner transferred the title he put 91735. So you will need to drive it up to match reading on the title before having any state inspection or emission done (as you know, they will report to Carfax and it will mess up the mileage history.)

Now the good stuff:

1. Brand new battery

2. Brand new MK4 Supra twin turbo fuel pump.

3. Brand new timing belt

4. Power seat, power mirrors, power windows and power antenna work great.

5. Targa top is solid, no leak.

6. All VIN tags are in place, I believe it has never had any major accident.

7. Clean Virginia title

8. Low mileage

9. Rare limited production number 1992 Toyota Supra.

I planed on fixing and restoring this Supra, but I don't have space to store it anymore. I'm in moving process and I would like to let it go to someone who has more love for it. If you would like, I'll find the radiator fan, O2 sensor and idle valve control at local junkyard and replace those things before you can drive it back home. I believe the car will drive anywhere but I can't guarantee that (I sold my 92 Supra with 200k on the clock on ebay a few years back and the guy made it home to Kansas state, so it wouldn't be a problem for a 90k Supra to make the same trip.) Everything shows in the pictures, any questions please don't hesitate to ask. If you're not serious in buying this car or don't have the fund to buy it, please don't bid. I require $500 non-refundable security deposit via Paypal after auction end, the rest of the payment will be due in 7 days. Good luck and thanks for looking!

Toyota Auris gets new Touring Sports variant

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Toyota showed off the Touring Sports version of the Auris next to the newly introduced Auris Hybrid at last year's Paris Motor Show, but didn't say much about it. Six months later, just ahead of the Geneva Motor Show, the company is crowing about that wagon going on sale with the Hybrid Synergy Drive, creating the Auris Touring Sports Hybrid.
The hauling version of the exceptionally popular Auris hatchback doesn't just add a hybrid wagon to the compact segment, Toyota says it offers class-leading load capacity of 1,658 liters with the Easy-Flat one-touch rear seats down. With the rear seats up, it offers 530 liters. The little big gulp is possible because the hybrid batteries have been placed under the rear seats instead of being in the luggage area.
It looks the same as the hatchback save for the fact that it's 285 millimeters (11.2 inches) longer behind the C pillar, has a redesigned tailgate and a lower load floor. Engines beyond the hybrid will match the rest of the lineup: 1.3-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline engines and a 1.4-liter D-4D diesel. There's a chance we'll see it in Geneva, if we don't there's a press release below to tell you all about it.

2015 Toyota Sienna

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

It's hard to love a minivan, but it's very, very easy to use one. More than any other kind of vehicle - save a panel van, perhaps - the minivan is the most appliance-like of four-wheeled transportation devices. And most minivan buyers don't need to love their purchases; they just need to use them. So when it comes to a minivan's driving dynamics, who cares?
Well, we do. So we perked right up when Toyota talked about refinements it made to the 2015 Sienna, starting with some 142 added spot welds made to the body structure. Normally not stop-the-presses stuff, but Toyota says the added reinforcements prompted Sienna engineers to recalibrate the springs and shocks for improved handling, and our very limited wheel time along the (admittedly benign) roads on the Big Island of Hawaii revealed the 2015 Sienna SE model's handling to be tidier and more engaging than you'd expect for a porky, 4,560-pound, eight-passenger box on wheels.

Subaru to stop building Camry for Toyota in the US

Fri, 09 May 2014

It was back in 2007 that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, under contract from Subaru minority shareholder Toyota, built the first Toyota Camry at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Rumblings of the end of that contract work have been around for a while, as Subaru talked of expanding capacity to build more units and add a line for the Impreza, and Toyota talked of moving Camry production to its Georgetown, KY plant. The news was official internally last November when SIA Executive Vice President Tom Easterday told the Louisville Courier-Journal that Camry production would end. Now, Automotive News reports that both automakers have admitted publicly that the end will come in 2016.
SIA currently has a 170,000-unit capacity devoted to the home-brand Legacy and Outback models, while a $400-million expansion increases that to 300,000 units to prepare the facility for Impreza production in two years. Freeing up the 100,000 units of production devoted to the Camry means a 400,000-unit capability, which is far more than Subaru needs at the moment, but the Toyota exit will allow it to expand any way it sees fit. Subaru has said it will absorb the workers on the Camry line and no jobs will be lost, the mayor of Lafayette saying the development could change the timetable for the expansion.
