Here for sale is a beautiful 1989 Toyota Supra with a Targa Top fully loaded. This car was purchased new at our local Toyota Dealership by an elderly couple .This is a true and original 55,000 mile Supra. You will be hard pressed to find a finer example. The car looked beautiful with it's original paint but had a few stone chips here and there and as anal as I am I had the car completely disassembled and re painted in base coat clear coat at the cost of 4000.00 . The car looks better than when it came out of the factory. This car is absolutely rust free and has never had any rust or rust repair of any kind all seals and weather strip look as new.I replaced the seat belt retainers located on the top outer part of the bucket seat as they are broken in the photos, also I would like to mention when I photographed this Supra  there was a lot of glare from the sun and this car looks much better in person than in the photos you will not be disappointed I can assure you. Included in this auction are the original set of wheels and tires that will be shipped at the winning bidders expense. I have a 3 piece 1990 turbo spoiler painted to match that will also be included in the auction. I just couldn't make up my mind if I like it with or without the spoiler so I didn't drill any holes.Everything works as it should except the radio it doesn't light up could be a fuse I never checked it.  This car looks ,feels ,drives and smells like new Supra a true time capsule. Upon viewing the photos they speak for themselves. If you should have any further questions contact me by phone as my time on the computer is limited. Thank You Good Luck Jimmy 813 393-8705

Meet the Most Elegant Automobile, and it's for sale

Sat, 08 Jun 2013

Alright, so maybe "most elegant" is a bit of a stretch, but we feel safe in calling the 1992 Toyota Paseo in the video below an "automobile." High praise, we know. Still, it's clear someone loves the awkward little coupe enough to produce a hilarious video to sell the thing. Henry Floyd worked up a quick parody of the over-the-top luxury car ads we all know and loathe, and while the finished product is a little skimpy on details like price or location, it certainly doesn't hold back on the exposition.
Hell, if we didn't already have a parade of horrible ideas floating around our collective driveways, we might even be convinced to give this little heap a new home. You can check out the ad for yourself below, just don't be surprised if you find yourself with a burning desire to own a Paseo.

Honda, Subaru airlifting parts to bypass port labor diputes

Fri, Feb 6 2015

It should be abundantly obvious that a vital element in building cars is actually having the components on hand to assemble them. A labor dispute on the West Coast between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and management is not making that quite so easy for some Japanese automakers. Work slowdowns at the ports have pushed Honda and Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries into flying some parts into the country. The two automakers began shipping by airplane late last month to avoid production delays, according to Bloomberg, but it has been an expensive solution. Subaru's chief financial officer said the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. They aren't the only companies dealing with the problem, either. Toyota reportedly stopped overtime assembly at some of its factories here because of the delays in getting parts, according to Bloomberg. The dockworkers have been negotiating on a new contract since May 2014, and the current offer on the table to them has offered a 3 percent raise, according to Bloomberg. Although, the union is reportedly considering another slowdown at 29 ports along the West Coast in the coming days. Toyota recalling 800k Camry, Avalon and Venza models for AC issue

Thu, 17 Oct 2013

Toyota has announced plans to voluntarily recall 803,000 vehicles from model years 2012 and 2013, over concerns with the air conditioning condenser housing. The recall covers the Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Avalon Hybrid and Venza, although the exact split between affected models wasn't available.
According to Toyota, the condenser can leak onto an airbag control module, which in turn could cause a short circuit. In most cases, this will just lead to an airbag warning light, but in rarer instances, the airbags could fail to deploy or pop out of their own accord. There's also a concern over a loss of power steering if the airbag control module develops a short.
It's unclear if there have been any injuries or crashes relating to the defects. Toyota will begin informing owners of affected vehicles via first class mail, and will ask them to report to dealerships for recall work, involving the installation of a cover on the condenser housing.
