1989 Toyota Supra Turbo-ultra Low Miles, All Stock And Original!! Amazing!! on 2040-cars
Spokane, Washington, United States
If you're looking at this car, then you already know what it is! The difference between this car and all the other ones you have seen is simple: This is the nicest, cleanest, most well-kept example you will find. PERIOD! This '89 Supra Turbo is in astonishing original condition for its age. It has been garage kept 24/7, unless it was being enjoyed on a sunny day. NOT driven in bad weather of any kind. NO smoking, NO pets, NO eating, and probably most importantly, NO ABUSE. This car starts, runs, and drives as it should. It doesn't leak any fluids, it doesn't use any oil, and there are no strange knocks or pings. It has not been modified in any way, with the exception of a Kenwood CD player and a washable, re-useable air filter. The exterior of this car is painted in the rare pearl white, and it shines beautifully. NO rust anywhere, and no dents. The interior is burgundy cloth, and the seats, carpet, dash, etc. are almost like brand new. A major benefit of being in the garage so much.. Even the original floor mats are in place!!
As you can see in the photos, this car has only 77k miles on the clock. Yes, the miles are original and accurate. The tires have less than 500 miles on them, and are mounted to the original Toyota aluminum wheels, which have NO damage or curb rash. I am not the original owner of this car, but I am INCREDIBLY particular (and old). This car clearly shows that it has always had proper care and maintenance. These cars are going up in value, as they are slowly becoming more difficult to find. NADA blue book value is $9900. This car is priced very fairly for the condition that it's in. No, it's not brand new, so there are some very minor imperfections. Still, I'd call it a 9 out of 10 for a 25 year old original sports car. Check my feedback score, and bid with confidence. It matters to me who gets this car, so please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I will respond promptly. Also, I will assist with shipping. DO NOT bid if you don't have the money, have a low feedback score, or you are "kicking tires". I will work with you as far as payment goes, however I will expect payment in full within 3 days of auction close. Good luck, Chris (509)389-2771 |

2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Practice Day 3
Thu, 27 Jun 2013The third practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is done. While the other classes got running time on the middle and top sections of the course, qualifying times were set on the bottom section of the course for the Open, Open Wheel, Electric, Exhibition and Vintage classes.
Everyone managed to keep it on the black stuff today, Greg Tracy setting the fastest time ahead of Hiroshi Masuoka, both men driving the Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution II four-wheel-drive prototype. Not even half a second behind Masuoka came Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima in his Monster Sport E-Runner, who has taken about 18 seconds off his time since the first practice day. Rod Millen was the fourth fastest on the day in his Toyota TMG EV POO2.
Topping the Open Wheel class was Clint Vahsholtz, followed by Donner Billingsley, Andy Figueroa and Rodney O'Maley. The only driver in that class not to be given a time today was Dan Novembre. Kenshiro Gushi took the Exhibition class today as his Lexus IS F CCS-R made it up the mountain in 4:27.248, followed by Sage Marie in the Honda CR-Z at 5:19.591. Simon Pagenaud and his Honda Odyssey weren't classified.
Subaru Indiana plant to stop building Toyota Camry
Fri, 15 Nov 2013Subaru may be set to end production of the Toyota Camry at its Lafayette, IN facility by 2017, according to a report from the Louisville Journal-Courier and a CBS affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. Speaking to the plant's Executive Vice President Tom Easterday, the whole affair sounds like a done deal.
"Based on changes in Toyota's production plans, they have decided that the award-winning Camry production contract will not be renewed," Easterday said. Easterday was quick to emphasize that just because Camry production would end, doesn't mean jobs will be lost. "There will be no loss of jobs at SIA as a result of this," he said, before adding that the loss of Camry production will have no impact Subaru's $400 million investment to ready the plant for Impreza production in 2016. That said, adding a promised 900 jobs may take longer than originally planned, as Camry production staff are set to be retrained on Subaru production.
SIA currently has the capacity to produce 100,000 Camrys per year, and began production of the family sedan in 2007 alongside production of the Subaru Outback, Legacy and eventually, the soon-to-be-discontinued Tribeca.
2014 Toyota 4Runner Limited
Thu, 08 May 2014What would you say if we told you that outside of Jeep and Land Rover, the best brand for those who want to go off road is Toyota? Sounds remarkable, eh? But the truth is, Toyota's history of providing vehicles for the rougher bits of our blue marble dates back to 1950, barely a decade after Willys built the first Jeeps and only a few years after Land Rover made its big debut with the iconic Series I.
In fact, Toyota's start in off-roaders was with a small contract for providing the US Army with vehicles, during the Korean War. From that, the BJ was spawned. This Jeep-like vehicle evolved into the 20 Series and then into the iconic 40 Series Land Cruiser in the 1960s.
So yes, Toyota knows its way around the trails. While the Land Cruiser, deservedly, gets all the attention thanks to its impressive longevity, we're partial to the 4Runner, which is a far more affordable entry that serves as Toyota's challenger to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
