For Sale is my Garage Kept 1985 Toyota Supra. Black exterior and Black / Gray Interior. Car is all original. 77,400 miles. This car has the 2.8L 5MGE motor, AT, AC, PS, PB, PW, AM/FM Cassette, Cruise Control and Power sunroof. Basically all options with the exception of leather seats. I will try to describe the best I can, please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or you can request more pictures. I bought this car in 2009 with 69k on it.
Interior is in great shape. The carpet in the front has some minor stains, rear carpet is clean. Seats look great. There are some very minor signs of wear on the drivers seat. Please see pictures.

Exterior is in great shape as well, with a few exceptions. As it was stored in the garage something fell on the corner of the fender and dented it, see pictures. There is also a small dent on the roof. It looks like the front clip was repainted at some point. I have no information or details about this. There is chrome plating on the lower part of the car. I never tried to remove it. There is no rust that I can see on the body. I was told it was  driven in the snow.

Mechanically, The engine is original, therefore it does leak some oil due to age. I have NOT replaced the Timing belt. The OD light flashes on the dash, but the transmission shifts normal. The AC does not work. I replaced the compressor and receiver dryer, but that did not fix it.I have some other parts for the AC to replace, I will update if I get it fixed. Front end needs one inner tie rod. I have the part, but have not replaced it. The antenna does not work. The tires are in nice shape but they are old, 2006 I believe. The tires are also undersized, so the speedometer is off.

Car is For Sale locally, so I reserve right to end auction early. Please do not hesitate to email if you have any questions or want more pictures.

2015 Toyota Camry set to circle NASCAR track near you

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

Toyota recently introduced the all-new 2015 Camry for the street, so it follows that it should want to promote its new bread-and-butter sedan by putting it out on the racetrack as well. And that's just what it's done here with the release of the new Toyota Camry for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
The new Camry represents the first reskin of the standard stock car chassis since the Gen-6 model was introduced in 2012. Toyota's Calty Design studio worked closely with series organizers to determine which parts could be redesigned to more closely resemble the new production model, and what you see here is the result. Since it is based on the same control chassis as all the others, the Camry's skin is applied over a steel tube frame and powered by an old-school 5.86-liter pushrod V8 mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.
Although the idea of a Japanese automaker in American stock car racing didn't initially get the warmest reception from some of the good ol' boys when it first entered the series back in 2007, it has by now become a staple of the NASCAR circuit. After all, it's hard for even the most patriotic of racing fans to argue with the US-built Camry's ranking as one of the most American cars by content on the market.

Toyota Camry could lose No. 1 sedan spot next year [w/video]

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Eleven months after Toyota claimed the 2012 sales crown a couple of months early thanks to the Camry, the headlines this year have been quite a bit different to last. Even though the Camry remains the best selling car so far in 2013 and its volume has increased year-on-year, it has lost market share due to the 20-percent sales explosion in the midsize segment. That means people are buying more of the competitor offerings like the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion - the Altima, in fact, outsold the Camry by 100 units in March.
In July it was reported that Toyota was upping Camry incentives and fleet sales to keep its lead and that dealer inventory was climbing as, again, competitors got better at fighting the champion. In August Ford doubled down on production of the Fusion, adding a line in Flat Rock, MI to keep up with demand.
Bloomberg has a report looking at the numbers behind the Camry's dominance, as well as what appears to be a recorded group interview with Toyota USA CEO Jim Lentz, and wonders aloud whether the Camry will be able to hold its top spot in 2014. Barring catastrophe it has this year locked up, being more than 30,000 sales ahead of the next-best seller as of the end of August, but it has done so with higher incentives and lower transaction prices than its competitors. According to Strategic Vision the Camry's consideration rate among consumers has also declined by a percentage point, while the consideration rate for the Accord and Fusion has increased by one point and two points, respectively.

Toyota to drop regular-cab Tacoma as small pickups take another hit

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

Even as General Motors prepares to redesign its midsize pickups, the market for sub-fullsize trucks continues to shrink. The remaining competitors in the segment are the well-aged Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tacoma, and now Truck Trend is reporting that the latter will be dropping its regular cab model due to poor sales.
According to the article, the available configurations for the Tacoma lineup will be whittled down in 2015, which apparently spells the end for the two-door Taco. The Tacoma is currently the last truck in its class to be offered in a regular cab configuration, with the Frontier no longer offering a standard cab model and spy shots of the next-gen Chevrolet Colorado not revealing any glimpse of a short cab, either.
