- Factory RZ car with 2JZ-GTE 6-speed - Only 104,000 KMs - Factory JDM kit w/ MVP front lip - Full-adjustable HKS coilover suspension - 18" VOLK SF-Challenge rims - SARD exhaust - SARD gauges (boost, oil pressure, temp) - HKS cold-air intake - HKS turbo-timer - Greddy shift knob This is a series 2 built in late 1996, which only ran production for 1 year with the standard 2JZ-GTE 6-speed setup before changing to VVTi. This is the most rare and sought-after Supra you can get. Very good example of a clean Supra. It's mostly stock with general upgrades, and excellent condition inside and out. All service is up to date, recent oil change and spark plugs done. Drives very smooth and pulls strong. Asking $20,400. 2014 Toyota Highlander recalled over seatbelt anchors
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Toyota has announced a small recall of its redesigned, 2014 Highlander over issues with one of its seat belts. The affected vehicles, which were built from November 20, 2013 to January 18, 2014, could have a seatbelt assembly in the middle seat of the third row that wasn't properly secured to a floor anchorage at the factory.
In total, 7,067 of the new Highlanders are included in the recall, which was discovered not after a crash, but during a post-build inspection at the factory. It's unclear if there have been any injuries as a result of the faulty seat belts.
Toyota is set to inform owners of the affected vehicles as well as dealers with the recalled Highlander models in their inventory. Naturally, repairs will be performed free of charge. For the full bulletin form the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, scroll down.
Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
