- Factory RZ car with 2JZ-GTE 6-speed - Only 104,000 KMs - Factory JDM kit w/ MVP front lip - Full-adjustable HKS coilover suspension - 18" VOLK SF-Challenge rims - SARD exhaust - SARD gauges (boost, oil pressure, temp) - HKS cold-air intake - HKS turbo-timer - Greddy shift knob This is a series 2 built in late 1996, which only ran production for 1 year with the standard 2JZ-GTE 6-speed setup before changing to VVTi. This is the most rare and sought-after Supra you can get. Very good example of a clean Supra. It's mostly stock with general upgrades, and excellent condition inside and out. All service is up to date, recent oil change and spark plugs done. Drives very smooth and pulls strong. Asking $20,400. Toyota confirms i-Road electric trike for production
Tue, 08 Oct 2013The wacky, three-wheeled Toyota i-Road we saw in Geneva earlier this year will be heading to production. But before you run down to your local Toyota dealer looking for one of these all-electric "personal mobility" vehicles, chances are, you'll never actually see one unless you visit Japan.
Announced at the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) expo last week, Toyota said that the i-Road would be used as a part of the Ha:Mo car-sharing system in Japan. Weighing in at around 661 pounds, with a 28-mile-per-hour top speed and a two-passenger seating arrangement, the i-Road seems more like a fully enclosed scooter than a car, but it does offer a 30-mile driving range and has a nifty articulating front suspension that leans into corners. As for Ha:Mo, Toyota says that the number of cars in the program will increase from 10 prior to October 1 to 100 by the middle of this month, and the number of stations will almost double from 13 up to 21. Couple survives 50-foot fall from overpass in Toyota
Tue, 11 Feb 2014It doesn't matter the make or model - modern vehicles are technological miracles when it comes to occupant protection. Take this story out of New York City, which involved two people going for a very wild ride in a Toyota Matrix.
Carlos and Raquel Broadbelt were on the Cross Bronx Expressway overpass when they hit a patch of ice while dodging a pothole, sending them hurtling into a guardrail and over the side of the overpass. They fell 50 feet onto the road below. Despite the catastrophic accident - and the mangled Toyota - both driver and passenger walked away. The couple spent a night in the hospital just for observation.
The Broadbelts' miraculous survival has even surprised doctors, who told Dave Carlin from CBS New York they'd never seen an accident like it. Take a look below for the full news report from CBS New York.
