2011 Toyota Sienna SE Braun Ability Rampvan XT Foldout Mobility Handicapped

Only 2,200 miles! With $8,000 high power 110v AC Power Station and back up battery for mobile medical and communication. Includes the Braun factory installed mobility package with electronic kneeling and automatic doors and ramp.

Vehicle is practically brand new. Interior 10/10 and Exterior 10/10 Immaculate Condition.  There is no wear on carpet or seats and is showroom clean.

Vehicle was purchased for my Father new from Toyota dealer in May 2011 and conversion was completed by Braun Mobility in August 2011. We only used the van a few times before my Father passed. The vehicle has every option known to man and is top of the line. Kneeling function, power, ramp, and power doors all work perfectly from buttons inside and remote outside. There is one scrape along the bottom passenger side sliding door from opening near street curb, please see pictures. This is the only damage or wear to vehicle at all. Has emergency manual override in case of power or mechanical failure. Both driver and passenger seats are removable to allow wheelchair in place. Passenger side has an automatic locking mechanism which locks into assembly that is attached to wheelchair frame. Also included is a verity of adjustable straps to secure wheel chair to van floor. The in floor rail mounts are flush to the floor and do not interfere with maneuvering wheel chair or walking. The back seat includes fold down foot rests.

The power station was a $8,000 upgrade option to allow power of equipment while in transit. It includes a high power marine battery located in the rear storage compartment which is charged by the engine's alternator when driving or by plugging it into mains power 110v AC. The battery powers a 1500 watt power inverter to provide stable 110v AC power for medical or communication equipment. There are 4 GFCI protected outlets by the rear of the driver side sliding door and another 4 outlets attached to the lower inside of the driver seat. The wiring is not exposed and does not interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle.

Because the van was purchased new from a local dealer, we have the brand new center bank of seats that were removed when the conversion was done.  We also have the center storage compartment that positioned between the driver and passenger seats.  These items are brand new and have never been sat on or used and have remained in storage.  We will offer these separately at an additional low cost if the buyer is interested.

1967 Toyota 2000GT most expensive Asian car ever sold at $1.2M

Fri, 10 May 2013

Toyota's agelessly beautiful 2000GT has been sold by RM Auctions for $1.16 million, making it the new record holder for the most expensive Asian car ever sold. As always, rarity played a big factory in driving up the price; just 351 2000GT models were built, and only 62 left-hand-drive cars (like this one). The classic Toyota, standout member of Texas car-collector Don Davies' paddock, was originally a US-delivery car that spent time in a collection back in a Japan before returning to Texas just a short time ago. The car last sold in March of 2011, for just $650,000.
Enthusiasts will recognize the 2000GT as perhaps the most heralded Japanese classic of all time. The Toyota was a contemporary of the Jaguar E-Type - though one that obviously sold in a fraction of the English car's numbers - that was well reviewed by the motoring press of the day. Sometimes referred to as Japan's first supercar, the 2000GT boasted a 150-horsepower, dual overhead cam, 2.0-liter straight-six engine; a five-speed manual transmission; and a reported top speed of over 135 miles per hour.
RM described this record-setting example as, "the finest and most authentic 2000GT to come to market in recent years," equating it with blue chip classic exotics like the Ferrari Daytona and Lamborghini Miura.

2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

People, us included, make a big stink about the importance of family sedans. There's no doubt they're critical - they represent a huge slice of the market's annual sales and profits. However, despite accounting for far fewer transactions than the midsize sedan segment, the fullsize sedan is getting attention from manufacturers now that our market's entire lineup of those (slightly) smaller four-doors has turned over in the last two years or so. As most of the fullsize segment's mainstays derive a fair bit of their platform and powertrain technologies from their midsize cousins, these larger four-doors offer the potential for fatter profit margins, too. And with the newly stylish duds found on many of the industry's most successful midsize sedans, it's only right that automakers no longer think about fullsizers as big, squishy, vanilla family haulers with flat seats, vague steering and a thin layer of 'luxury' in the form of faux wood trim.
As manufacturers have again started diving into large sedans feet-first, the cars themselves have become sharper. The interiors are now of a higher quality and loaded with tech, while the exteriors have become further extensions of each manufacturer's design language. There's perhaps no greater example of this than the Chevrolet Impala and Ford Taurus, two models that evolved from subpar offerings into market leaders. This segment-wide transformation happened quite quickly, whether because of coincidental timing or because manufacturers are trying to get more out of their big cars, recognizing they account for a small portion of overall sales (just 3.5 percent of the new-car market in the first half of 2013).
The 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is one such vehicle. We remarked on the changes to the V6 variant last year, and while we previously had a quick steer of the gas-electric hybrid, we figured the new model was worth a closer week-long look.

2015 Toyota Camry targeting 'more emotional' design

Sun, 19 Jan 2014

There are many ways to describe the Toyota Camry: "comfortable," "economical," "affordable," "reliable" and "dull as a bucket of mayonnaise" would all be accurate. It's this last one that the Japanese brand is seeking to change. While we aren't expecting it to suddenly sprout a high-revving V8, a rear-drive layout or razor-sharp handling, a report from Bloomberg suggests we should at least expect a more evocative design from one of the best-selling cars in the country.
The next Camry update, due for 2015, should have a "more emotional, more impactful design," says Kevin Hunter, head of Toyota's US design studio. That's according to Bloomberg, who caught up with the styling boss at this week's Detroit Auto Show. "Camry's taken some hits on styling, but it's still selling well. But we need to create better design for Camry in the future."
