2005 Sienna LE with an Independent Mobility Systems (IMS) conversion. Conversion cost $16,000. . Van is in excellent shape. The floor has been lowered to 11". It has an electric passenger ramp and passenger door. The front seat drivers side swivel and move to the middle of the van for easy in and out of wheelchair. Both front seats are also easily removable if you would like to sit wheelchair in front to drive or to be the passenger. The side ramp folds in a compartment in the floor of the van so it is protected from the elements. The van has the kneel system which lowers to the ground to keep the ramp angle lower (this is an option if you want to use it whenever opening the ramp. Basically the van can pick up the wheel chair from the floor or from the sidewalk with no problem. I have a remote that will operate the door and ramp from outside of the van like a keyless entry system. The van includes numerous locking straps to lock wheelchair into van securely.
Recent timing belt, water pump, all belts, spark plugs, brakes and all fluids (power steering, brakes) replaced. Transmission fluid and filter also changed. All service done @ 72,000 miles. All receipts worth $1,600.
There are professional hand controls for the operation of the accelerator and brake as well as for the steering wheel. With this hand control system, the driver can use the hand control or regular pedals at the same time. This system alone cost over $1800. System works excellent and I will not separate from the van although it is fairly easy to remove.
Quantum 600 Electric Wheel Chair also is included in this Auction. Purchase price was $28,000 for this wheelchair. Utilized less than 3 months. Excellent shape in near new condition. Wheelchair reclines to an almost flat position and in a reverse position and adjusts to 12 different positions. All manuals, pedals, side bars, battery charger included. Wheelchair has the nice system of "two joy stick controller mode". Driver or person behind the wheelchair can control the wheelchair independently. I'm willing to separate the van and wheelchair but would prefer to sell both together.
Van and wheelchair were purchased for my mother who was paralyzed in Sept. 2012. However she has since been able to recover and will not need this system. my loss your gain. This is not the typical dodge caravan conversion. This Sienna is one of the most reliable and well built conversion vans and will outlast and perform any dodge model out there (it is why I selected this van over the dodge conversion).
NEEDS NOTHING FOR ANOTHER 100K. Runs excellent. FREE SHIPPING in continental USA only with BUY IT NOW.

2014 Toyota Aygo marks the spot [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Following the leaked pictures we showed you yesterday, we have the full battery of images and info of the all-new Toyota Aygo, in addition to our gallery of live photos from the floor of the Geneva Motor Show.
Like its cousins from Peugeot and Citroën, the Aygo foregoes a diesel engine in favor of a highly efficient gas powerplant. The 1.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder turns out 68 horsepower and 70 pound-feet of torque. When it hits the market, it'll be with either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed, X-Shift automated manual. The former will help the Aygo return 57.3 miles per gallon and hit 62 miles per hour in 14.2 seconds. Opting for the X-Shift variant will net drivers 56 mpg, with 62 arriving in a leisurely 15.5 seconds.
We'll admit, aside from the fuel efficiency, there's nothing terribly great about those numbers. Still, with its compact dimensions - it's only 136 inches long - and a curb weight of no more than 2,000 pounds, it should prove tossable in the bends.
Toyota to start production of hydrogen vehicles in December
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Toyota's hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will be in showrooms sooner than planned, the Japan Times reporting that production will commence in mid-December with the sedan following "by the end of this year." No reason was given for the new timeline; Toyota has been saying all along that we'd see it in 2015.
The company is said to be "considering" production volume of "dozens of... vehicles per month" at a "likely" price of eight million yen, which is $78,030 US. That is well in line with the numbers thrown around last year, when the target was somewhere between $50,000 and $100,000. Then late last year, during our first drive of the FCHV mule, we wrote that "the official quote... [is] that a price of 'less than 10 million yen is ideal.'"
That alleged $78K is a sizable sum to be one of the early adopters on the hydrogen fuel cell wagon train, but with things moving around so much - and with Toyota publicly citing hydrogen fuel cells as the future - there's plenty of reason to be cautious about that number.
This Japanese ad for the Toyota Prius Plug In is beyond confusing
Fri, Jun 20 2014We'll admit we don't understand all of this strange little ad for the Toyota Prius Plug In (our Japanese skills are not what they once were) but that just makes it all the more fascinating. The takeaway point is that a world full of PHEV Priuses will be astonishingly colorful at time and exciting, with food being delivered by a neck plug. Or something like that. We recommend clicking below and just watching the 60-second spot (and the short making-of video) but if you'd rather read here's what we have figured out: There's some airline-pilot type guy who is visited by who he calls his sister. The voiceover says she's some kind of saleswoman, and she begins to talk up the plug-in Prius alongside the J-Pop group AKB48 Team 8, telling the crowd – including a man in a big, round bird mask – how easy it is to plug in. The old man watching the J-Pop girls tells the woman next to him, "I have their CD." Then we see the original duo back home and the guy says he's hungry before plugging in a blue energy wire. The same wire that then starts charging a Prius. That may not really clarify anything, but there you have it. Watch for yourself below. At the very least, we won't confuse this ad for one from another automaker. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
