Introduction
Up for sale is my beloved 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4WD. I’m sad to see her go but I’m getting a company car and I have no need for two vehicles. Rest assured this vehicle has never been in a major accident and has been obsessively cared for. There seems to have been a minor incident back in 2003 but I had the car checked by a mechanic before buying and confirmed it was in tip top shape.

Mileage
If you know these trucks you know there are still another 100k problem-free miles left in it at least. They are practically bullet proof. These are mainly highway miles (drive from NY to FL regularly).

Mechanical Condition / Service Records
I have all the most recent service records dating back to when I first purchased the vehicle. In going through those records you’ll notice this car has been impeccably maintained. One of the first things I did was proactively change the spark plugs, timing belt and water pump since I was uncertain about when it was done. I’ve also done regular synthetic oil changes, alignments, and brakes. The truck has asked for nothing more than that and runs as a Toyota truck should.

Visual Appearance
She has new high quality Yokohama Geolanders all around. I had the step boards removed out of preference but I am more than happy to have them put back on.

There are very few imperfections. Just a few minor scuffs normal for a vehicle this age but nothing glaringly damaged. As a matter of fact people are always surprised when I tell them this is a 2003. You can see all of the imperfections in the pictures aside from the fact that the rear hatch window does not roll down.

Please, if you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email. I sold my last car on here and had a very smooth transaction.

Andrew Gilleland is new VP of Scion, Murtha moves to Toyota

Fri, Sep 25 2015

Scion is getting some fresh blood at the top as Andrew Gilleland (pictured above) becomes the new vice president to take over for Doug Murtha. Gilleland is no stranger to the division, and served as the national field operations manager early in the brand's launch. Murtha moves to take leadership of corporate strategy and planning for Toyota in North America. "Now it's Andrew's charge to spread the message of the style and value of the iM and iA, as well as a third new vehicle that will be added to the lineup," Toyota division group vice president Bill Fay said in the announcement. Gilleland moves up from being general manager of Toyota's central Atlantic regional office. He takes the reins at Scion at a potential turning point for the division. Sales volume for the year through August is down 22.1 percent to 32,691 vehicles, but some big changes are afoot. The long-lived xB is likely about to bow out, and the brand is launching two new products with the iM and iA. They're getting some celebrity advertising, too. Spy shots also suggest the FR-S might get a refresh soon. Plus, the third model Fay teases is expected to be a compact crossover, possibly with styling inspiration from the Toyota C-HR concept. Scion could get a big boost by having an entry in that booming segment. New Products, Previous Player - Scion Introduces New Vice President Andrew Gilleland Returns to Youth Brand September 24, 2015 TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2015) – In the early days of Scion, when xAs and xBs were flying out of dealers' showrooms, Andrew Gilleland was the National Field Operations Manager for the youth brand. He was responsible for working with dealers to ensure they embraced the new products and processes Scion offered. Now, Scion is entering its teen years, and Gilleland is back as Vice President of Scion, once again encouraging dealers to sell its new models and investigate new methods to attract young buyers. "Scion has sold nearly a million vehicles since I left in 2005 and I'm excited to be back leading this team," said Gilleland. "The iM 5-door hatchback and iA sports sedan arrived at dealerships earlier this month and the response has been great.

Subaru to stop building Camry for Toyota in the US

Fri, 09 May 2014

It was back in 2007 that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, under contract from Subaru minority shareholder Toyota, built the first Toyota Camry at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Rumblings of the end of that contract work have been around for a while, as Subaru talked of expanding capacity to build more units and add a line for the Impreza, and Toyota talked of moving Camry production to its Georgetown, KY plant. The news was official internally last November when SIA Executive Vice President Tom Easterday told the Louisville Courier-Journal that Camry production would end. Now, Automotive News reports that both automakers have admitted publicly that the end will come in 2016.
SIA currently has a 170,000-unit capacity devoted to the home-brand Legacy and Outback models, while a $400-million expansion increases that to 300,000 units to prepare the facility for Impreza production in two years. Freeing up the 100,000 units of production devoted to the Camry means a 400,000-unit capability, which is far more than Subaru needs at the moment, but the Toyota exit will allow it to expand any way it sees fit. Subaru has said it will absorb the workers on the Camry line and no jobs will be lost, the mayor of Lafayette saying the development could change the timetable for the expansion.

Toyota i-ROAD leans its way into the city [w/video]

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

According to Toyota, the "i-ROAD takes the company closer to its goal of creating the ultimate range of eco cars." As you're surely aware, that range of eco cars includes the enormously successful Prius family, but this new machine is nothing like the hybrid hatchback. And it's not even a car - Toyota calls the i-ROAD a Personal Mobility Vehicle.
Toyota's i-ROAD Concept, which debuts at this week's Geneva Motor Show, is adorned with just three wheels, meaning it's just as much a motorcycle as it is a car, and the driver and passenger sit in tandem style instead of side-by-side. This arrangement allows for a very thin 850mm width, which is about the same as a large motorcycle. Because the cockpit is enclosed, the occupants don't need helmets, nor are they open to the elements outside.
Also like a traditional two-wheeler, the i-ROAD tilts through the turns and when driving on uneven surfaces. Toyota says its computer-controlled Active Lean technology automatically balances the vehicle with no input from the driver.
