Green 4-door Awd Automatic Nonsmoker on 2040-cars
New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
We are selling our 1998 Toyota RAV4. We are sad to see her go, but we just bought a new Kia Soul and are putting this one up for sale. It has all wheel drive, automatic 4-speed transmission, cold A/C, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power sliding/tilting moonroof, keyless entry, alarm system, factory tint, alloy wheels, AM/FM stereo with cassette and CD player, good speakers, rear tires at 80%, front tires at 50%, spare tire is new (tire has never touched the ground), still has the factory suitcases that attached to inside of rear door (see photo). Rear seats flip forward for large cargo space (see photo). This car has been in our family for 9 years, we have taken good care of it, we are nonsmokers, and we don't take it off paved roads. There is no rust, and the car has never been flooded. Oil is changed regularly; CV joints and front struts replaced January 2014. This has been a reliable car for us--we do not hesitate to take it on road trips. It has a current inspection sticker and is ready to drive anywhere. The cruise control works but the on/off switch is broken (I can show you how to use the cruise control when you pick up the car). The hinge on the center armrest is broken, so the armrest lifts off instead of swinging back (see photo). There is a dent and scratch on the hood over the passenger headlight (see photo). There is a chip in the windshield (see photo) but it is not in the driver's line of sight, and the clear coat on the roof is peeling in a spot (see photo) but it is not visible unless you're 6'6" tall. The check engine light is on. It was on when we bought it and we replaced the oxygen sensor and it went off. Two years later the light came back on for the same reason. Our mechanic suggested we just let the light stay on and keep the $250 and it has been on ever since. The rear door squeaks. This is a city car so it has its fair share of dings and scratches (see photos). A couple of years ago our neighbor dented in the fender while the car was parked in front of our house--this was repaired professionally (paid for by insurance). Otherwise, the car has not been involved in any accidents. There are no stains or tears on the upholstery. The driver's floormat is missing; the other three are there plus the large cargo mat is there, too. We have clean title in hand, car is ready to go! I put the eBay app on my phone so I'll be able to answer questions fairly quickly if you have one. Thanks for looking!

Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.
2015 Toyota Camry priced at $22,970*, Hybrid at $26,790*
Tue, 02 Sep 2014We last saw the heavily revised 2015 Toyota Camry at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. Now, it's finally time for the best-selling car in the US to hit the roads in late September, and Toyota is announcing how much the updated model actually costs.
The basic Camry LE rings up for $22,970 (*not including a $825 delivery, processing and handling fee). That's up slightly from the base price of $22,425 for the 2014.5 LE, but the updated sedan has some 2,000 new parts, while also being 1.8 inches longer and boasting a 0.4-inch wider track. The rest of the trim levels include the SE for $23,840, sporty new XSE for $26,150 and XLE at $26,150. Opting for the V6 is the XSE and XLE bumps pricing to $31,370.
Separately, the Camry Hybrid gets its own LE, SE and XLE trims. The LE starts at $26,790 with a standard, power driver's seat and 4.2-inch information display. The SE for $27,995 gets an improved interior and the XLE at $29,980 has leather, heated front seats, LED running lights and more.
Toyota announces GT86 CS-R3 rally car
Mon, 11 Nov 2013Toyota Motorsport GmbH has developed cars for all manner of racing, up to and including Formula One and Le Mans. But it got its start back in 1979 in rally competition, winning four drivers' and three manufacturers' titles in the World Rally Championship. And now it's announced a new rally car.
Based on the Toyota GT86 (better known to us as the Scion FR-S), the CS-R3 rally car isn't built to contest the top tier of the WRC, but is being developed to conform to the lower R3 class. That means a six-speed sequential gearbox, limited slip differential and upgraded engine, brakes, aero... the works. It'll retain the road-going model's rear-drive setup, joining the front-drive Yaris R1A in TMG's portfolio of customer rally cars.
Further details are set to be revealed "in the coming months", but the GT86 CS-R3 will benefit from the experience TMG accrued in developing the GT86 CS-V3 (pictured above) for the Nürburgring-based VLN endurance racing series.
