FOR SALE: 2008 TOYOTA RAV4 LIMITED 4WD V6

DESCRIPTION: 2008 Toyota Rav4 Limited 4wd V6. The vehicle has all options with the exception of leather seat trim and third row seat. The vehicle has every available power option including a power moonroof. The vehicle is also equipped with the upgraded JBL sound system. The vehicle is also equipped with the powerful and efficient 3.5 liter V6 engine and 5 speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy ranges from approximately 30 mpg on the freeway and mid 20's in town.

The vehicle was purchased new at Sunshine Toyota in Battle Creek Michigan during July of 2008 and we are the original owners. The vehicle was maintained only by the Toyota dealer and all service records will be provided. I have a clear lien free title in hand.

CONDITION: The vehicle has been garage stored it's entire life. The interior is in excellent condition and was professionally detailed this past month. There are minor scratches on the drivers side of the hood and the front bumper cover near the front license plate location. I think the scratches would buff out as they are minor and hard to see without close inspection. There are also some scratches on the middle of the spare tire cover. See photographs for details.

Potential buyers are welcome to view the vehicle in Coldwater Michigan. Please contact me a day or so in advance to set up a meeting time.

The remainder of the vehicle is in very good condition with all factory glass in place and chip free. The tires are 50% or less. I would estimate 12,000 tread life remaining.

TERMS OF SALE: The vehicle will be released to the new owner when paid in full. I do not require a deposit, however, the sale should be completed within 7 days of the auction close unless prior arrangements are made. I will accept payment in the form of a verified cashier's check. No Paypal please.

I will not end the auction early in fairness to persons bidding on the vehicle in good faith. I have set a very fair reserve price at the lower end of current private party book value.

SHIPPING: I will assist the buyer with shipping but shipping costs are to be paid for by the buyer. I will deliver the vehicle within 50 miles of Coldwater Michigan 49036 free of charge.

When a Ferrari and a Toyota GT86 get jiggy, strange things happen

Swapping V8s into small Japanese cars is not new. In fact, swapping V8s into small sportscars from anywhere is not new. From the original Cobra to the modern FR-S and BRZ, big V8 power in a light, lithe chassis has been delicious combination rivaling the Reese's peanut butter cup. People familiar with these swaps know that American iron is the preferred source for large-displacement grunt, but Ryan Tuerck and Gumout have taken a different route, specifically from Italy. Replacing the 2.0-liter flat-4 of this Toyota GT86 is a Ferrari F136 V8. Unfortunately that's about the only detail we really know about this project. The F136 was used in the F430, California and 458 Italia, and all with varying displacement and output. So we don't even know which of those variants this engine is. If it came from a California, that'd at least make the front-engine location easier to fabricate. No matter though, it's still a Ferrari engine in a small car, and that's awesome. And Donut Media, the company that produced the video, promises more details down the road. In the meantime, enjoy this video preview of the project. 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Practice Day 4

The fourth and final practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is complete. Tomorrow everyone will make any last-minute adjustments and get their cars, their bits and bobs lined up in the pits for Sunday morning's this-time-it-counts run.
The Unlimited runners took on the top section of the course today, Sébastien Loeb and his big-mouth Peugeot acing the practice test again with a time of 2:11. Rhys Millen's team proved its got the engine issues of two days ago in the Hyundai PM580T sorted out, posting the next-best time at 2:27.16. The reason we had to dip all the way into the hundredths for his time is because he nipped Romain Dumas by just .31 of them, the Frenchman in the Norma M20FC PP running the course in 2:27.47. In fourth came the Frenchman in the monster Mini, Jean-Philippe Dayraut six seconds back at 2:33.
Time Attack competitors, also on the upper section, were led by Paul Dallenbach in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a time of 2:36, Porsche pilot Jeff Zwart crossing the line six seconds later at 2:42, fellow Porsche driver David Donner coming in another six seconds back at 2:48. Dallenbach has topped three of the four practice-day sessions, sliding into the second spot behind Donner only on Practice Day 2.
