2012 Toyota Prius C Base Hatchback 4-door 1.5l on 2040-cars
Parrish, Florida, United States
2012 Toyota Prius C in number three trim. Car is loaded with touch screen radio with navigation and phone hookup, power windows and locks, cruise, upgraded interior etc. Everything works as intended. Always maintained by Toyota under warranty. One family owned since new. Mileage is mostly highway miles between Michigan and Florida numerous times. Only thing to ever wear out was the factory tires and they were replaced with a new set of Yokohamas about 2000 miles ago. Like most cars that live in the real world, it has a few nicks and scrapes, but nothing major. The car presents very well. Mileage is fantastic, especially around town. We actually have gotten better than 60 mpg on a couple of trips, but it was mostly downhill with a tailwind! Asking price is comparable to others on ebay with repair/salvage titles. This one's title is clear. Never been wrecked. Would make a great car for a student, or just a great overall around town vehicle. I've got too many cars and need to thin the herd. This one will be missed when it is gone.

2014 Toyota Corolla coming Thursday, now with LED headlamps
Tue, 04 Jun 2013Here's what we know about the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla: It will have "aggressive new styling" with "available seventeen-inch alloy wheels" an "available touch screen audio" system and "available LED headlights."
We know all of this because Toyota has seen fit to release a small assortment of teaser images of the 2014 Corolla, with those descriptions attached. The latest to hit the web shows LED lighting clusters, which, to Toyota's credit, don't appear to merely mimic designs already seen in the automotive world.
We should point out that the headlights do share a link to the units seen on the Furia Concept that was supposed to foreshadow the next Corolla, though the most interesting bits - namely the honeycomb inner pattern - have been chucked while the somewhat trapezoidal main units remain intact.
Expedition drives from Russia to Canada over North Pole...
Tue, 21 May 2013No, a Ford Expedition did not drive from Russia to Canada via the North Pole, but that's exactly what a team of intrepid explorers accomplished recently. Using specially-modified buses with massive tires, the group slowly drove 2,485 miles in 70 days over drifting ice, occasionally using a pickaxe to clear a path and staying on guard for chasms that could open up and plunge the team into the frigid arctic waters. Average speeds were about 6 mph, "at the speed of a (farm) tractor." While the big tires technically allowed the buses to float if the need arose, the team preferred to stay out of the water to keep the suspension from getting coated in thick, hard ice. Falling in on foot would mean almost certain death.
According to Phys.org, the buses were powered by Toyota diesel engines, but were built with prototype parts from a previous driving expedition to the North Pole. Right now, the machines are parked in a garage in Canada's Resolute Bay while the the team rests up with family back home. They plan to continue their trek to back across the Bering Straight to Russia. If successful, the team may eventually offer a version of their buses for commercial sale.
