There are great cars...and then there are SPECIAL cars. This 2003 Toyota MR 2 Spyder falls under that ''special'' category. To be a special car, a vehicle needs to stand out. Can you find one on every corner? The answer to that question is ''no.'' This Toyota is a 2 owner CLEAN History machine. The 23k miles are true and documented. This Spyder started off life in Florida away from the harsh weather and road salt. The second owner continued to baby this MR 2 in KY. Only driven on nice days, meticulously maintained and tucked away in a nice garage. We acquired this Toyota on trade from the second owner. It came to us with like new tires, a beautiful black clearcoat, like new top, and a like new leather interior. Original handbook is present along with all weather mats. The Spyder is a true sports car. Rear engine mated to a 6 speed sequential transmission. The sequential transmission was a rare option and allowed the owner to drive this car like a manual transmission without the hassle of a clutch. Because of the sequential transmission, this Spyder has factory cruise. (Manuals did not come with cruise) If you are looking for a near spotless, low mileage, affordable, fun vehicle, you owe yourself a look at this MR2. A certain collectible version of a car desired by many.  Actual mileage may very due to local test drive.   Auction may end early due to local sale.   Carfax available at www.greensautopoint.com.   We have been in business for nearly 30 years in Marysville, Ohio.  Questions may be directed to Jason Burris at 937-644-2277.   Winning bidder will have shipping arrangements in place within 72 hours or pick up locally.  Thank you for your interest!

Stellantis and Toyota expand partnership with large commercial van

Tue, May 31 2022

Stellantis said on Monday it would expand its partnership with Toyota Motor Europe (TME) with a new large commercial van, including an electric version. Stellantis will supply TME, a unit of Japan's Toyota Motor Corp, with the new vehicle for sale in Europe under the Toyota brand, it said. The van will be produced at Stellantis plants in Gliwice, Poland, and Atessa, Italy. "Planned for mid-2024, the new large-size commercial van marks TME's first entry into the large-size commercial vehicle segment," Stellantis added in a statement. The deal widens the partnership between the two companies and allows a better optimization of Stellantis' Atessa plant, which currently makes large vans sold under the Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat marques. "It represents an important addition and completes our light commercial line-up for Toyota's European customers," Stellantis said. Paris-listed shares in Stellantis were up 1.6% by 0941 GMT. Carmakers have increasingly been agreeing cross-manufacturing deals to reduce costs in vans, which due to a boom in parcel delivery are seeing large demand — and where electric vehicle versions are also seeing rising sales to carry out "last-mile" deliveries in city centers. Toyota Prius + gets refresh in UK, is it coming here?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Toyota has unveiled a mid-cycle refresh of its seven-passenger, UK-market Prius +, known here in the US as the five-passenger Prius V. The revised hybrid MPV now boasts looks inspired by Toyota's more aggressive compact stylings as seen on its new Yaris and Aygo - particularly in the redone front fascia.
The new LED headlights are the most obvious change, sporting a sharper style, while the vertical slats that bookend front fascia are much larger and deeper, and are now home to LED running lights. The lower grille is also newly enlarged and trimmed in black plastic. Changes out back are far less noticeable, with the biggest tweak being a new diffuser that's been integrated into the rear bumper.
The interior gets a light freshening, too, with fresh trimmings around the switchgear, as well as a new 4.2-inch TFT display in the center mounted instrument cluster. The latter includes a new "Eco Judge" function designed to help owners drive more efficiently through a point-based reward system.

Toyota unintended acceleration lawsuit settled for $16M

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Slowly, the many loose threads still dangling after the unintended acceleration issue Toyota faced a few years ago are being resolved. The Orange County District Attorney's office was believed to be the first DA's office to take Toyota to court, its suit alleging that Toyota knew its cars had defects and continued to sell them. The suit sought to "permanently enjoin Toyota from continued unlawful, unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent business practices as it pertains to both consumers and competitors" and asked for $2,500 "for every violation of the Unfair Business Practices Act," plus costs.
That suit has now been settled, Toyota - without admitting fault or wrongdoing - agreeing to pay $16 million to the county. Half of the money will go to the Orange County Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership, another four million dollars to the OC DA's office to investigate economic crime, the remaining four million being used to pay for the case.
