1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo with a very LOW RESERVE PRICE. I purchased this car on eBay in 2006 and spent a lot of money in it right off the bat. New timing belt, AC compressor, plugs, Wires, Breaks with drilled and slotted rotors, Rims and Tires, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Custom Speaker Box and Amp, Alpine Radio w/Ipod connection and more. I removed the rear spoiler and welded all the holes on the trunk. The plan was to repaint the whole car, but until then I did a carbon fiber paint job on it instead of just primer. Also the doors are wrapped in 3M Carbon Fiber vinyl just because I liked the way it looks, but that can be removed in about 5 minutes if it's not for you. The Ferrari emblems make a nice statement and the prancing horse on the back makes it go faster (LOL). My time and money kinda got diverted when we had our son a year later. It is possible to be Happy and Sad @ the same time. I have 3 other cars and a company vehicle that I drive every day and may get the MR2 out once every 2 or 3 weeks to pick up the kid from school if I'm off early.  It truly isn't the best family car, but I paid cash for it and there is only insurance to pay (and 93 octane Gas to keep it happy). It truly is a blast to drive, I have just outgrown it and need to finish other projects.  I took it to the Toyota dealership and had them check the car out and Flush all the systems and add all new fluids. Finalists for 2014 Green Car of the Year announced

The list of finalists for the 2014 Green Car of the Year has been announced, and in a genuinely bizarre twist, there's only one hybrid and no electric vehicles among the five contestants, despite the arrival of cars like the BMW i3 and Tesla Model S. Taking the place of the EVs are a pair of diesels, repping a technology that last won a Green Car of the Year award in 2009, when the Audi A3 TDI took the title. No diesel was in the running for last year's award.
Naturally, both of the diesel finalists are fielded by the Germans - with BMW's 328d and Audi's A6 TDI getting the nod. In the case of the 3 Series, BMW installed a 2.0-liter, turbodiesel, capable of delivering 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while returning 45 miles per gallon on the highway. Audi and its larger, 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel produce quite a bit more grunt, with 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of grunt, but net a very impressive 38 mpg on the highway in the A6.
Finalists for this year's awards include two diesels, three gas-powered cars and a plug-in hybrid.

Subaru to stop building Camry for Toyota in the US

It was back in 2007 that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, under contract from Subaru minority shareholder Toyota, built the first Toyota Camry at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Rumblings of the end of that contract work have been around for a while, as Subaru talked of expanding capacity to build more units and add a line for the Impreza, and Toyota talked of moving Camry production to its Georgetown, KY plant. The news was official internally last November when SIA Executive Vice President Tom Easterday told the Louisville Courier-Journal that Camry production would end. Now, Automotive News reports that both automakers have admitted publicly that the end will come in 2016.
SIA currently has a 170,000-unit capacity devoted to the home-brand Legacy and Outback models, while a $400-million expansion increases that to 300,000 units to prepare the facility for Impreza production in two years. Freeing up the 100,000 units of production devoted to the Camry means a 400,000-unit capability, which is far more than Subaru needs at the moment, but the Toyota exit will allow it to expand any way it sees fit. Subaru has said it will absorb the workers on the Camry line and no jobs will be lost, the mayor of Lafayette saying the development could change the timetable for the expansion.
