1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo with a very LOW RESERVE PRICE. I purchased this car on eBay in 2006 and spent a lot of money in it right off the bat. New timing belt, AC compressor, plugs, Wires, Breaks with drilled and slotted rotors, Rims and Tires, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Custom Speaker Box and Amp, Alpine Radio w/Ipod connection and more. I removed the rear spoiler and welded all the holes on the trunk. The plan was to repaint the whole car, but until then I did a carbon fiber paint job on it instead of just primer. Also the doors are wrapped in 3M Carbon Fiber vinyl just because I liked the way it looks, but that can be removed in about 5 minutes if it's not for you. The Ferrari emblems make a nice statement and the prancing horse on the back makes it go faster (LOL). My time and money kinda got diverted when we had our son a year later. It is possible to be Happy and Sad @ the same time. I have 3 other cars and a company vehicle that I drive every day and may get the MR2 out once every 2 or 3 weeks to pick up the kid from school if I'm off early. It truly isn't the best family car, but I paid cash for it and there is only insurance to pay (and 93 octane Gas to keep it happy). It truly is a blast to drive, I have just outgrown it and need to finish other projects. I took it to the Toyota dealership and had them check the car out and Flush all the systems and add all new fluids. They gave it a clean bill of health and I have driven the car a whopping 300 miles in 10 months, oh joy for me. All the good considered, it has its flaws. Original Paint, No Dents, There are some scratches and scuffs that would be expected with a car 20 years old, No cracks in any glass, The drivers Seat cover is well worn and could be replaced, T-Top seals are still good but water will drip in if it is raining hard, There are 2 holes in the A pillar from a gauge cluster that used to be there (it will come with the car), Drivers side lock works but will not turn off the alarm when the door is opened. I have been told it is a simple fix, but I have been just unlocking it from the passengers side and not bothering with it, NO Cat. on car; it has a 3" Blitz down pipe from the turbo and 3" pipe to the carbon fiber exhaust with a 4.5" out. If you have any questions about the car feel free to ask them. There will be no joy rides and please do not bid if you don't want to pay for the car. You are more than welcome to come and check it out and if you are ready to buy we can test drive it, but I don't have time to waste while someone gets to enjoy driving a car that I don't have time to drive myself. The winning bidder is responsible for transportation of the car to where ever they are. There are a lot of car transporters that can get it anywhere in the world for a reasonable price, but that is up to the buyer. Thanks and GOOD LUCK!

PSA: Toyota wants to save your life, needs an hour of your time
Thu, Nov 9 2017Toyota wrote Autoblog to ask if we could spread the word about the Takata airbag inflator recall. Defective inflators remain installed in tens of millions of cars made by 19 carmakers, with manufacture dates that go back to the year 2000. Each inflator compounds the risk of serious injury or death in an airbag-activating crash. With a new ad campaign called "in about an hour," Toyota wants to make sure that unaware owners, or overly busy owners, know they can get their Toyota, Lexus, and Scion vehicles repaired free of charge in about the time it takes to do a load of laundry. The campaign focuses on cities in three so-called Zone A states where hot, humid climates worsen the threat of the ruptured inflators: Los Angeles, Dallas, and Miami. However, every owner everywhere who cares about his life, or his child's life, should at least check to see if his car is affected. All it takes is a quick VIN entry at the dedicated recall site at Toyota.com/Recall. The results will let you know if your car is affected and, if so, locate a local dealer for the free fix. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration said the Takata affair has become "the largest and most complex safety recall in U.S. history." The numbers so far suggest the recall covers more than 42 million vehicles and more than 60 million airbags. Autoweek keeps an updated list of Takata information, including every make and model on the recall list. Consumer Reports published a list of frequently asked questions covering issues directly related and tangential to the recall. The 19 automakers maintain pages dedicated to the issue; Fiat Chrysler lists every relevant model and how it prioritizes repairs by Zone, Honda says it offers a free rental car while owner cars are repaired, Daimler vans says its fix only takes about an hour. And of course NHTSA serves all owners with its own VIN lookup site. We encourage you to check your vehicle — the life you save could be your own. Related Video:
The 2022 Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR 86 aftermarket upgrader's guide
Wed, Sep 1 2021When you own an enthusiast car, there are few events more nerve-wracking than the introduction of its successor. Should you upgrade? Is it worthwhile? What will it cost you to part out your mods and trade up? Well, there's good news for owners of the outgoing Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ who are considering an upgrade: You might not have to start with a clean slate. If you’re an owner (or even a casual fan) of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 family of sports coupes, youÂ’re probably already aware that the 2022 models are more like aggressive overhauls than true, ground-up redesigns. Neither company really wants to put a spotlight on the fact that their coupes are a little less "all-new" and a little more "back and better than ever," but in our opinion, this is something Subaru and Toyota should embrace. Why? In a word: continuity. Look no further than the NA (1989-1997) and NB (1999-2005) Mazda Miata. While they are regarded as distinct generations (the NA defined by its pop-up headlights and simpler lines; the NB by its fixed lamps and swoopier styling) and were offered with different equipment packages, the fundamental underlying chassis remained relatively unchanged. This meant that, in many cases at least, buyers could trade up to a new model but bring along some of their factory and aftermarket accessories because theyÂ’d still fit. The BRZ and GR 86 are meant to be fairly bare-bones vehicles, the idea being that they appeal to those who want limited frills at a low cost and those who prefer to view cars as canvases rather than finished masterpieces. A long-running platform makes an excellent candidate for the latter type of car buyer. So, what does that mean for the 2022 BRZ and GR 86? Well, let's break it down by whatÂ’s truly new, whatÂ’s kind-of-new, and whatÂ’s essentially carry-over, with some guidance from Subaru and Toyota engineers. 2022 Subaru BRZ blue action profile View 22 Photos Spankin' new LetÂ’s start with the obvious: the styling. Even if you can find older aftermarket appearance kits that will fit the new BRZ and GR 86 on paper, they probably wonÂ’t bolt up nicely to the new cars due to their sleek new exterior designs. Wings and spoilers might still bolt up, but donÂ’t count on it, and theyÂ’ll probably look disjointed at best anyway.
Toyota Tacoma helps stand up to your girlfriend, mimes, magicians and the Grim Reaper
Mon, 26 Aug 2013It takes a lot to get a product noticed in today's fast-paced world, but one avenue that's always seemed to grab the eyeballs of consumers has been humor. Toyota knows this rule well, and has put together a quartet of spots called "Tacoma Wins," in which the midsize pickup's features and specifications best a number of seemingly worthy competitors.
Whether it be sobbing girlfriends, a circus magician, a grim reaper or the scariest thing of all, a mime, the Tacoma looks well equipped to deal with it. Take a look below for all four of Toyota's newest spots.
