Toyota MR2 Non-Turbo 1993 Coupe T-Top
Up for auction a VERY NICE ASE mechanic owned MR2 well cared for and updated. This car was being redone for the purpose of keeping it for a long time. Engine was replaced with a used low mileage 60000 mile engine from a reputable salvage yard in 2013. This car runs, handles and rides great with the updated NEW suspension. Car was stored indoor heated garage during the winter. No short cuts or skimping. Engine is smooth no smoke or oil leak. Smooth shifting as your cruising with the top off, remember summers coming. The original mileage is 216807 but the actual mileage on this since used engine install is about 200 miles Guesstimate would be 60200 miles.. AC and Heat works great as well as power windows. This car has updated HID CONVERSION KIT WITH HALO ANGEL EYE LIGHTS / 8000 K . You can actually enjoy driving at night with great illumination. Exterior paint was done in 2013 so looks as nice as it runs. Also the tires are so NEW you can still see the numbers on them and writing on the tires in the pics. I have even shown the undercarriage of the car just so you can see how nice this car is from undercarriage to the top! Following list has the updates and approx. parts cost without labor. Toyota explains what names like Camry and Yaris mean
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Ever wonder where automakers get the names for their cars? You're not alone. The sitcom Seinfeld opened Episode 94 - the one where George Costanza buys a Chrysler LeBaron instead of a Volvo - with a bit about nameplates like Integra, Supra and Impreza. Toyota, clearly, is not exempt from choosing evocative but enigmatic names for its models, and now the Japanese automaker is taking us through the etymology of some of its nameplates.
Names like Supra may require no clarification, but what about Camry? That comes from the Japanese word kanmuri for Crown (which is, incidentally, the name of another Toyota sedan).
Yaris? According to the company, it's "an amalgamation of words from Greek mythology and German. In Greek mythology, 'Charis' was a symbol of beauty and elegance. Toyota swapped the 'Ch' with 'Ya' - German for 'yes' - to symbolize the perceived reaction of European markets to the car's styling."

1967 Toyota 2000GT most expensive Asian car ever sold at $1.2M
Fri, 10 May 2013Toyota's agelessly beautiful 2000GT has been sold by RM Auctions for $1.16 million, making it the new record holder for the most expensive Asian car ever sold. As always, rarity played a big factory in driving up the price; just 351 2000GT models were built, and only 62 left-hand-drive cars (like this one). The classic Toyota, standout member of Texas car-collector Don Davies' paddock, was originally a US-delivery car that spent time in a collection back in a Japan before returning to Texas just a short time ago. The car last sold in March of 2011, for just $650,000.
Enthusiasts will recognize the 2000GT as perhaps the most heralded Japanese classic of all time. The Toyota was a contemporary of the Jaguar E-Type - though one that obviously sold in a fraction of the English car's numbers - that was well reviewed by the motoring press of the day. Sometimes referred to as Japan's first supercar, the 2000GT boasted a 150-horsepower, dual overhead cam, 2.0-liter straight-six engine; a five-speed manual transmission; and a reported top speed of over 135 miles per hour.
RM described this record-setting example as, "the finest and most authentic 2000GT to come to market in recent years," equating it with blue chip classic exotics like the Ferrari Daytona and Lamborghini Miura.
