Up for auction a VERY NICE ASE mechanic
owned MR2 well cared for and updated. This car was being redone for the purpose
of keeping it for a long time. Engine was replaced with a used low mileage
60000 mile engine from a reputable salvage yard in 2013. This car runs, handles
and rides great with the updated NEW suspension. Car
was stored indoor heated garage during the winter. No short cuts or skimping.
Engine is smooth no smoke or oil leak. Smooth shifting as your cruising with
the top off, remember summers coming. The original mileage is 216807 but the
actual mileage on this since used engine install is about 200 miles Guesstimate
would be 60200 miles.. AC and Heat works great as well as
power windows. This car has updated HID CONVERSION KIT WITH HALO ANGEL EYE
LIGHTS / 8000 K . You can actually enjoy driving at night with great
illumination. Exterior paint was done in 2013 so looks as nice as it runs. Also the tires are so NEW you can still see
the numbers on them and writing on the tires in the pics. I have even shown the
undercarriage of the car just so you can see how nice this car is from undercarriage
to the top!

Japanese automakers kick in $800k for new charging-station company
Mon, Jun 2 2014Cynics may say that gathering $800,000 (total) from four of Japan's largest automakers is merely a rounding error. Still, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi, along with the Development Bank of Japan, are putting those funds to good use. So, that's something. Last week, those five entities officially founded Nippon Charge Service LLC. The company was established to promote plug-in vehicle charging installations across Japan and the automakers seeded it with 80 million yen, or about $786,000 US. Those funds will be used to help business owners deploy charging stations at convenience stores, highway-side locales and other locations that will make it easier for plug-in vehicle drivers (of Toyotas, Hondas, Mitsubishis and Nissans, obviously) to get their juice. The automakers first announced they'd collaborate last year, when they said they'd work with the Japanese government to more than triple the country's publicly accessible chargers to about 17,000 units. No targets were disclosed as far as how many charging stations would be deployed this time out, but, in a move similar to the EZ Charge system in the US, Nippon Charge Service will also have universally-accepted charging cards available by the end of the year to drivers all of those brands' plug-in vehicles to make the charging process a little more seamless. We're at the track now as a guest of Audi and plan to stay through the evening, and even we haven't been able to find out what caused the accident - the only video is from just after the incident, and beyond the statement from ACO there's been no more news. The Aston Martin in the LM GTE Am class and its all-Danish drivers had taken pole in its class and was one of the favorites to win.

Toyota recalling 615k Sienna models over rollaway risk
Thu, 26 Sep 2013Toyota has announced a recall affecting approximately 615,000 Sienna minivans due to a possible rollaway risk. All of the vehicles in question are from the 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 model years.
In an official statement, the automaker states that the problem stems from the vehicle's shift lever assembly. "Because of the potential for damage to the shift lock solenoid installed in involved vehicles, there is a possibility that the shift lever could be moved out of the 'P' position without the driver depressing the brake pedal," Toyota said. Because of this fault, the affected Sienna models could roll away without warning, increasing the risk for a crash.
Owners will be notified via first class mail, and the affected Sienna models can be taken to Toyota dealerships to have the shift lock solenoid replaced with a new one. Have a look below for the automaker's official release.
