Selling a rare 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 40th Anniversary Edition. These are hard to find in this condition and only has 174,000 miles. It runs and drives excellent and is in great mechanical shape.
It is an all-time 4WD with 4-hi and 4-lo. The tires are in great shape, ready for winter.
This one doesn't have the electronic differential lockers, but the differential will lock in 4-Low
I've been driving it in the Snow/Ice here in Tulsa, OK and it has not slipped or slid on me once and has been driving on 1/4"+ of ice and like 6" of snow.

The engine is the 4.5L straight six, it's known to last well over 300k and can handle anything you put it through. No problems shifting or driving at all.
The oil is still clear at time of change and no leaks on it anywhere.
The oil gauges on these years are known to read a little low, there is NOT an oil pressure problem. Feel free to have it inspected, if it fails an oil pressure inspection I'll pay for it. The gauge does read and it does respond to the rpms, Ive included 2 pics to show you

The body is straight all around, no wrecks. The only flaw is the rear fender flares are faded and need repainted. They can be removed from the door, they shouldn't cost that much.
It has a factory grill guard with KC lights that work.
It has towing package with trailer brake control and a spot on the rear bumper for a winch to bolt on.

The interior looks great, it is all leather with 3rd row seating. It shows it's age just a little with a small tear on side of driver seat and fading on the armrest. Nothing major at all.
A/C, heater, radio, lights, sunroof and everything works. The back windows are a little slow up and down but still work. Front windows work great.

This car is in great shape inside and out and will last a long time as well as increase in value as it becomes more rare. It'll last for twice the miles if it's taken care of.
Very fun to drive and very tough, call or text to come test drive

Call 918-829-2693 if you have any questions, thank you!

Toyota FCV Concept comes one step closer to reality

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

When Toyota first conceptualized a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle for mainstream Americans to drive, the initial response was pretty skeptical. Still, through relentless engineering and solid product after solid product, Toyota has built the Prius brand into the dominant force in the hybrid car market.
Something like that plan of attack is what the Japanese company is preparing for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well, and that attack is seeing a critical salvo fired today with the debut of this FCV Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Though there's nothing substantive to be said about rumors of a 300-mile range or a sticker price around $50,000, the FCV concept does offer a few technical details. The sharp-beaked concept makes use of two high-pressure hydrogen tanks and boasts a power output density of three kilowatts per liter.

Toyota i-Road is no less strange in the flesh

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

We've seen plenty of three-wheeled creations in our day, but none quite like the Toyota i-Road Concept. The "personal mobility vehicle" offers seating for two with driver and passenger positioned in a tandem position. While that may sound more like a motorcycle than a car, the closed cockpit means riders don't need a helmet. The design also takes a page from the 2008 Peugeot HyMotion3 Concept with an articulating front suspension that allows the driver to lean through corners thanks to "Active Lean" self-balancing technology. Unlike the funky Pug, however, the i-Road is a fully electric plug-in vehicle.
While there are just five-horsepower on hand from an electric motor, the i-Road should serve up a range of around 30 miles thanks to its lithium-ion battery, and Toyota claims the cells can be topped off in three hours with a "conventional domestic power supply." Sounds majestic. Take in the full press release below.

Toyota begins shipping Le Yaris to America

Fri, 17 May 2013

Our tiniest Toyota (Scion iQ notwithstanding) is about to get a little French flair. The Japanese automaker announced Thursday that its Toyota Motor Manufacturing France facility would begin building Yaris models destined for North America - specifically, the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. This will mark the first time in history that Toyota has exported vehicles to North America from Europe.
Initially, Toyota will export roughly 25,000 Yaris models to North American markets from France each year. In order to handle this additional production, Toyota Motor Manufacturing France has invested 10 million euro into its French facility.
Despite being somewhat of a snooze-fest (it's a car!), the Yaris carries on in North America with a 106-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with prices starting at $14,370 for the three-door and $15,395 for the five-door, not including $795 for destination.
