This is a 1972 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER FJ 40 with a 1F engine and 3spd transmission. This is a one owner that was bought by an older guy in wyoming where it remained for most of its life to use as a hunting rig and the occasional drive around rig. Then the guy passed away and his son brought it back to Indiana where i was able to purchase the cruiser. It only has 17K miles on it which I believe to be accurate due to the overall condition of the cruiser. Which is also why its not rusted out as most cruiser of this vintage are. Its very solid with only minor rust on the rear sill and on each rear corner. The small section on the drivers side floor is rusted due to a mat being on the floor the passenger side floor is very solid with only surface rust. The bib, fenders, windshield frame and tub are all solid solid. Even the rear floor and the side fender boxes are solid. The quarters are really solid and still retain the original fender well with the original lip...most get rusted out or cut out. The bottoms of all the doors are solid even the barn doors....all original glass with no cracks or breaks. This is the one you want for a daily driver..."with some work" or a pretty easy restoration project. We all know how hard it is to find an original untouched landcruiser that still has all the hard to find parts. This one still has the original front seat configuration with the original tool box under the drivers side seat....very cool...WOW!! Even has the original rear jump seats that are very very hard to find that are in excellent condition....I even have the original TEQ bottle jack and handle.....The bonus with this cruiser is at some point the guy bought and original soft top with all original bows, soft doors and a drop down tailgate....but I dont think it was ever used because I dont think the hardtop has ever been off this cruiser. The original soft top stuff is just about impossible to find any more....This cruiser has everything going for it in a cruiser...1 owner The original guy....for most of it and then me....original untouched condition with all the hard to find parts and in way above average condition for its age...... ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED CONDITION !!!!!!
The winning bidder will also have a chance to purchase at an additional cost a 1978 2F engine transmission and transfer case. As well as a Disc brake front axle. If your wanting to upgrade.....
If you have any questions feel free to ask I have described this cruiser as best I can and have showed plenty of pictures to show condition If you need pics of anything let me know . Thanks for looking.

GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773
Fri, Mar 24 2023In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna. Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. Toyota settles first wrongful death suit related to unintended acceleration
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Toyota's sales seem to have rebounded from the unintended acceleration issues from 2009 and 2010, but the automaker is far from done dealing with this situation. Following a settlement worth up to $1.4 billion for economic loss to affected vehicle owners, Toyota has settled rather than going to trial in a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from an accident in Utah in 2010 that left two passengers dead. This isn't the first case in which Toyota has settled, but it was the first among a consolidated group of cases being held in Santa Ana, CA.
According to The Detroit News, this case was scheduled to take place next month, and it was for a November 2010 incident in which Paul Van Alfen and Charlene James Lloyd were killed in a Camry when, based on findings by the Utah Highway Patrol, the accelerator got stuck causing the car to speed out of control and hit a wall; the terms of the settlement were not announced.
The article says that while Toyota will settle on some cases, it doesn't plan on settling on all of them as it still wants to be able to "defend [its] product at trial." This will probably be the case in suits claiming that software for the drive-by-wire accelerator was the cause of an accident in a Toyota or Lexus vehicle. The question of whether or not the electronic accelerator played any role in this problem has been a hot-button topic since the beginning. Toyota has issued recalls in the past to attempt to prevent unintended acceleration caused by trapped floor mats and faulty accelerator pedals, but it also says driver error was to blame in some instances.
Camatte concept puts the Toy back in Toyota [w/videos]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014It's been two years since Toyota first revealed its Camatte show car at the Tokyo Toy Show. Though sadly never destined for production, Toyota brought the concept back the following year as the Camatte 57s roadster, and is now returning to the same show with yet another take on the kid-friendly, configurable 1+2 with interchangeable body panels - this time with a slew of features that are fresh not only to the concept itself, but to the industry altogether.
This year the Camatte is being showcased in two forms: a bare chassis in the Tech Lab that lets kids see the inner workings of a modern automobile, and another in the Design Lab that lets kids draw their own motif for the concept that is then displayed on an LED hood.
The overall approach reminds us of the way Toyota's budget brand Daihatsu unveiled the Kopen roadster concept at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year, only even more kid-focused and decidedly more light-hearted than you might otherwise expect from one of the largest industrial giants in the world, and could only have been made for a toy exposition. In Japan. Which would explain the ridiculously upbeat videos below, where you'll also find the brief press release.
