TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ45/ HJ45 *RARE DIESEL* PICK UP
 No Reserve!!
I'm selling a rare diesel pick up in excellent condition. Diesel Land Cruisers were never sold in the US. The only diesel cruisers you will find in the US are those that have already been imported. The diesel cruisers can be run on bio diesel and vegetable as well as diesel. They get great gas mileage and the 6 cylindar H engine gives them lots of power. The engines run forever! These are rare classic trucks that are only going up in value. Buying one of these is putting money in the bank.
This HJ45 has little to no rust, I would say 98% rust free. It was painted several months ago, but I found no previous bondo work done. The body is in excellent condition except for the tailgate does have some damage. I will be getting the tailgate fixed before I send it to the new owner. The engine runs strong, no strange noises, leaks or drips. The transmission shifts smoothly and the 4x4 works perfectly. The engine starts right up and everything works perfectly. It does need new tires as you can see by the pictures.
Please see the video of the truck running. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD4Hzt-9AoU
I have more information on the video description about how my auctions work.

I can have power steering installed for $600
A/C for $1,200
Heat for $500
New Paint- $1,000

Toyota renews Supra trademark, we renew frothing at the mouth

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Enthusiasts have been begging for a new Supra practically since Toyota stopped selling its fourth generation in the US way back in 1998. We've been hearing rumors about a successor for years, but the Toyota FT-1 Concept from the 2014 Detroit Auto Show is the first tangible sign from the automaker that a new generation may be on the table. To temp us even more, the Japanese company reportedly filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office last week to renew its 2010 trademark for the name "Supra."
Granted, these kinds of trademark updates aren't uncommon, as automakers don't want to lose their rights to nameplates (even if they have no immediate plans to use them). However, Toyota briefly abandoned its rights to the Supra name entirely. According to The Motor Report, the original trademark was continually renewed until 2006, but the Japanese automaker let it lapse in the US until applying for it again in 2010.
The FT-1 Concept in Detroit was created at Toyota's Calty Design Research center in California and carries cues from the 2000GT, Celica and Supra in an ultra-curvy body. Officials did not disclose anything about its powertrain. Toyota is also co-developing a future sports car platform with BMW that will underpin models from both companies, but few other details are konwn, and it isn't yet clear that the joint venture has anything to do with a future Supra. Hope springs eternal.

Fuel cells will flop outside Japan, says VW

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

"It may fly within Japan, but not globally," VW's Shoji said.
It's long been battered into our beleaguered auto writer brains that the ultimate future source of motivation for tomorrow's cars and trucks is not gasoline, diesel, electricity, natural gas, propane or solar power - it's the hydrogen fuel cell. It's been the Next Big Thing since the start of Next Big Things.

Expedition drives from Russia to Canada over North Pole...

Tue, 21 May 2013

No, a Ford Expedition did not drive from Russia to Canada via the North Pole, but that's exactly what a team of intrepid explorers accomplished recently. Using specially-modified buses with massive tires, the group slowly drove 2,485 miles in 70 days over drifting ice, occasionally using a pickaxe to clear a path and staying on guard for chasms that could open up and plunge the team into the frigid arctic waters. Average speeds were about 6 mph, "at the speed of a (farm) tractor." While the big tires technically allowed the buses to float if the need arose, the team preferred to stay out of the water to keep the suspension from getting coated in thick, hard ice. Falling in on foot would mean almost certain death.
According to Phys.org, the buses were powered by Toyota diesel engines, but were built with prototype parts from a previous driving expedition to the North Pole. Right now, the machines are parked in a garage in Canada's Resolute Bay while the the team rests up with family back home. They plan to continue their trek to back across the Bering Straight to Russia. If successful, the team may eventually offer a version of their buses for commercial sale.
