For sale is a 1977 Toyota FJ40 Land cruiser in very good condition-as stock as you fill find. "No rust" this FJ has been repainted and what little rust it had was repaired, the FJ spent its life in Texas until I moved to South Carolina recently. This is not show FJ, but is one of the better FJ you fill find. This FJ has basically had a "frame on restoration completed over the last 2-3 years, again no rust on body or under carriage/ frame. Has the original 2F engine(runs great and strong, starts ups easy and fast, no smoking) and carb, with smog equipment installed, Original drive train, transmission and transfer case, "No leaks" of oil from trans, transfer or differentials. 4wheel drive works fine and it should, four speed trans shifts smooth with no problems. The FJ shows 54 thousand plus on the odometer. The odometer, speedo, oil, gas gauge  ect. all work. All lights and horn also work. This auction has a very fare, probably to low of reserve set for the FJ. I'm looking for a fair price for the FJ. Come with no warranty, sold as is, and available to view, test drive. I do have the FJ for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction if someone make a fair offer.

List of some of the things done to the FJ over the last few years.

Heavily updated 2015 Toyota Camry to bow in New York

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Looks like the new, "more emotional" Toyota Camry designer Kevin Hunter talked about back in January is going to arrive very soon, with news that Toyota's bread-and-butter sedan will be getting an update in just a few weeks time at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
"On April 16 at the New York International Auto Show, we will make an important announcement about America's best-selling car, the Toyota Camry," said Curt McAllister, Toyota product news manager, in an emailed statement. Considering the high-profile nature of the NYAS - not to mention the competition that will be shown there - it makes sense that Toyota would choose to unveil something as significant as a major refresh at the Javits Center.
We wish we had more to tell you than this, but unfortunately, that's about all we've got to go on at this time. Of course, we'll have much more for you during the lead up to NYAS, including any leaks of the refreshed Camry. Stay tuned.

Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings

Mon, May 26 2014

The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year.
