Thanks for checking out our auction on this all stock One owner Low 140k mileage FJZ80 Landcruiser. This Landcruiser runs and drives excellent and is fully loaded and was always cared for since new.The Landcruiser was maintaind to a strict schedule and always used synthetic fluids. The Landcruiser does have the Locking axle option,Leather,Sunroof,Dual power front seats,3rd row seating,Keyless entry,Auto and power windows and locks. The landcruiser speedometer says 25k miles and reason being is stopped working at 114,536 miles at which time it was replaced by the local Toyota dealer in town everything is documented and i have the receipts at the same time of the speedo replacement a $6069 service was performed as well this was in 2009 25k miles ago.
We have sold many of these Landcruisers and they are one of our favorite vehicles i have driven this one the last few weeks and can give a very accurate description. The Landcruiser runs and drives great, stops fine, cold a/c and everything works properly i have sold many of these this one is a pleasure to drive. Here are some of the items that could be adressed or driven as it is with no problems:The Landcruiser has never been in any accidents but the rear quarter panel passenger side is a tad off color wise it was painted several years ago due to a long scratch, there are blemishes in the paint and interior please look at all the pics where i am pointing carefully, the passenger power seat works but intermittently stops moving back and forth, one rear speaker is missing we have the grill, the front windshield has a small nick and some discoloring around the bottom inside does not affect vision at all and it could use a really good compound and buff even though it looks very presentable.
The Landcruiser comes with both sets of original keys and key fobs as well as all the manuals and factory hitch.Overall this is an excellent example that could look like new without breaking the bank.We will be giving the fortunate new owner $750 worth of weatherstripping and outside door mouldings that are new and still in their original packages. The Landcruiser is sold as is and 100% turn key but it still is 20 years old so please do not expect it to look like it is new, these pictures where just taken and please take time to read our feedback and bid with confidence.Florida residents must pay 6% sales tax and tag or transfer no dealer fees and transportation must be arranged by the new owner we will assist any way we can with storing and loading.Thank for checking out our listing on this awesome Landcruiser and feel free to email us with any questions, thanks and good luck!!

Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings

Mon, May 26 2014

The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year. Race Recap: 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans defines 'endurance'

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

Commenting on the rush of events that rocked beginning and end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paul Truswell of Radio Le Mans said "the race is about the ability to endure, not just the ability of drivers to do what they do for a long time." The entire race machine, all the way down to the pit boards and radios, has to survive the stress and abuse of the entire day. This was the race to prove those words.
There were two Toyotas, two Porsches and three Audis, five of the seven led the race at some point, six of the seven ran in the top three. Toyota will be hugely disappointed that it didn't win when its car and drivers were so, so strong, but they gave Audi the kind of scare we haven't seen since the best of Peugeot's days, and Toyota did a better job of it even in the loss. Porsche blew away everyone's expectations, falling 3.5 hours short of a fairy tale ending that would have made Disney cry.
But Le Mans doesn't really do fairy tales. Well, not that fairy tale. Audi's Twitter handle during the event was #welcomechallenges. As usual, Le Mans answered for the entire field.

Toyota settles complaints with states Attorneys General for $29 million

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Toyota announced today that it has reached a settlement with the Attorneys General of 29 states and one US territory that will resolve their complaints relating to recalls performed by the automaker from 2005-2010, including those related to sticky accelerators and malfunctioning floor mats that may have contributed to cases of unintended acceleration.
The settlement includes a payout of $29 million to be divided among the states and US territory, as well as a commitment from Toyota "to take steps to make vehicle information more easily accessible to consumers to help them operate their vehicles safely and make more informed choices." The settlement also has Toyota continuing its rapid-response service teams and quality field offices that were put in place shortly after the largest of the recalls from 2010, as well as a "range of customer care amenities for owners of vehicles subject to certain recalls," though the press release below isn't specific about what those amenities might be.
This settlement marks the second major step in the last few months that Toyota has taken to settle legal disputes surrounding the unintended acceleration recalls, the first being a $1.4 billion settlement to address economic loss suffered by owners of current and past Toyota vehicles that may have lost value on account of these recalls.
