Vehicle Description

AWESOME CLASSIC 4WD READY TO HIT THE TRAILS! I love these old Land Cruisers but people make them too nice to really use them like they were intended. NOT THIS ONE! This FJ40 is sharp enough to drive to a car show, but rugged enough to really go off-roading. Check out the specs below:

Cosmetic

  • Paint/Body: Super straight body with very minimal rust spots (see video). Paint is very presentable from 15ft and would be easy to repair minor rust spots and touch up the vehicle.
  • Interior: Clean interior, Toyota 4 runner seats are super comfy. Dash is all original and all gauges work. Nice clean floor pans. New custom roll cage.
  • Glass/Windows: Original doors are included. Glass is good but regulators need to be repaired for windows to roll
  • Undercarriage: Clean, rust free frame rails. One small quarter sized rust spot on floor pan.
  • Wheels/Tires: Nice aluminum Jeep wheels with good BF Goodrich tires. 80 percent tread.

Mechanical

  • Drivetrain: 6000 Miles on rebuilt engine. New clutch. 4sp trans shifts out good. 4WD works perfectly high and low.
  • Lights/Electrical: New EZ Wire kit installed. All lights and electricals are in perfect working condition
  • Brakes: Brakes have been rebuilt and stop perfectly
  • Power Options: Power steering and Power Brakes
This is one of my favorite classic off-road vehicles. I love this specific truck because it can be enjoyed for its original purpose... driving off-road! Watch the video then call Erick at 678-908-6006.

Lexus, Mazda win KBB 5-Year Cost To Own Awards

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

We focus a lot on what new cars are like to drive, but it's difficult on a one-week loan to really get a sense of what a car is like to live with. Sure, we try to recreate that sense with our long-term vehicles, but even after a year, it's impossible to know fully learn about a car, particularly in terms of reliability and cost of repairs. For 2014 model year vehicles, Kelley Blue Book has put together a list of the most affordable vehicles over a five-year period.
At the tippy top of the list are Mazda and Lexus, with the Zoom-Zoom automaker winning the award for best non-luxury brand. Lexus, meanwhile, was the most affordable luxury marque over a five-year period. It's interesting to note, though, that not a single Mazda won its segment in this year's awards.
General Motors did quite well, taking eight segments, including both the subcompact and plug-in segments, with the gas-powered Chevrolet Spark and Spark EV. The Chevy Camaro SS and ZL1 took the high-performance car award. Toyota was well represented, with five winners split between the main brand (Corolla, Prius C and Tacoma) and Lexus (LS and RX).

Toyota launches new Pixis Epoch kei car in Japan

Sat, 12 May 2012

Kei cars may be small in size, but they're big business in Japan. The latest arrival to the category is the little hatch you see above, the Toyota Pixis Epoch.
It's the fourth vehicle produced by the Daihatsu division but sold under the Toyota brand. As with other keis, power comes from a 660cc engine. It's mated to a continuously variable transmission driving either just the front wheels or all four. In both configurations, the Pixis Epoch features a stop-start system that helps its emissions and fuel efficiency figures come in well below even the Japanese government's stringent standards.
The whole package measures just 3,395 mm (133 inches) long, 1,475 mm (58 inches) wide and 1,500 mm (59 inches) tall, but offers a relatively spacious and utile interior, plus a tight turning radius of just 4.4 meters. Pricing ranges from 795,000 to 1.2 million yen - that's less than $10,000 (and no more than $15k). Further details in the press release after the jump.

This first-gen Toyota Celica is one mean mother

Tue, 09 Jul 2013

Brian Karasawa's gen-one Toyota Celica is, in a word, badass. As a long-standing fan of the marque, the doting owner has tried to both restore and improve his Celica keeping period-correct modifications in mind. The 20R/22R mashup engine is outputting roughly 185 horsepower and graced with a lot of JDM-specific parts and modifications. Clearly, the exhaust has been upgraded from stock, as clips of the orange Toyota in motion are accompanied by one hell of a nice sound.
Tastes clearly vary, and there's not as much love for the first-wave of Japanese metal as there is for similar era American-iron, but we're pleased to see these cars finally getting more time in the spotlight. Scroll down below to see why we're stoked, and consider cruising your local Craigslist for late 1970s and early 1980s Japanese coolness (before we get there first).
