NO RESERVE AUCTION!!  High bid wins!

You are viewing my 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80 with super low miles!!  Only 94,396 original!

It's very, very, clean CarFax certified, NO rust California raised, garaged and well maintained Land Cruiser.  It's 100% percent original with dealer installed brush guard, rear tail light guards and running boards.  No roof rack or rear wind deflector which is kind of rare and maybe preferred.

Sorry.  No front & rear lockers.  Stock center diff lock only when in low range only.

One look and you can tell how nice and super clean this Land Cruiser is and how it's been very well kept.  Pretty much garaged since new.  Absolutely no clear coat fade as the Greed Emerald paint is near perfect.  I tried to take detailed photos but it probably looks better in person than in the photos.

All leather near perfect, no seam separation, tears or holes.  Steering wheel leather near perfect as well as gear shift lever.  No fake wood dash, nice clean look.  Everything works including, the PWR, 2nd gear start, OD buttons, etc.  Cold AC, and HVAC works as it should.  All power windows works great as do the door locks and sunroof and it doesn't leak.  The only issues are the power antenna only goes about half way up (stock radio still tunes fine and play CD's and even cassettes!).  The "D" light is burned out.  The power seats work in every direction except backwards, they are currently in the furtherest most back position and I don't move them.  The lumbar, seat bottom up and down and the recline functions flawlessly.  Those are the only issues on the interior of this cruiser.  It's simply nicer than most you've ever seen.  It's even got a functioning car phone if you feel inclined to get service for it.

The original paint is in fantastic shape with very few scratches here and there and much less than  average for a 19 year vehicle.  I can count about 3 small door dings.  The only bummer is the drivers door has a series of very small scratches (detailed in the photos) where a door from another vehicle rubbed it over and over.  Not dented just scratched.  Fairly easy repair but I wanted to present as 100% original with no paint work ever done.  No accident history or past bodywork.  All VIN stickers present.  You might be amazed at the overall condition of this cruiser.  Zero rust.  Stock alloy wheels look great and the center caps have actually held up quite well.  Nice Michelin CrossTerrain tires in stock size.  No leaks to speak of and it just had a recent service including oil, lube & filter.  Engine runs smooth and throws no codes, just passed California emissions and renewed the tags.  It really is a pleasure to drive.

Pre-buy inspections welcomed and encouraged BEFORE auction ends.  Glad to answer any questions, please message me through eBay or call me.  Patrick 805-4one5-2848.  Please check my feedback as I have sold a number of nice Land Cruisers and Toyotas with 100% satisfaction.   Bid with confidence.  Thanks and happy bidding.

No warranties express, written or implied.  AS IS WHERE IS sale.  No refunds.  Clear title in hand.  Truck is located in Santa Barbara, CA.  I can pick you up at the Santa Barbara airport.  Or I'll be happy to assist with your transporter.

Recharge Wrap-up: New and old Audis get greener, as does US electricity

Thu, Aug 21 2014

Audi has made environmental improvements to the its TT while boosting performance. The new TT sees an 11-percent reduction in emissions, and up to 14 percent more power. Audi says that each TT will save around 5.5 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions over its lifecycle. Additionally, the TT's manufacturing process has been cleaned up a bit, reducing emissions by about nine percent. Read more in the press release, below, or see Audi's lifecycle assessment here. Speaking of greening up Audis, Al Swackhammer of Washington converted his 1960 Audi DKW 1000S to run on electric power. Swackhammer first fell in love with the Audi Ur-Quattro, became an enthusiast of Audi and Volkswagen cars, and has owned nothing else ever since. With his DKW, he combined his passion for the classic car with his responsibility to the environment. "I am pleased that I did this project," says the happy owner, "and I enjoy driving it very dearly." Meet the man and his beloved electric Audi DKW in the video below. Toyota has chosen a sustainable design firm, Corgan, as the lead architect for its new North American headquarters. The new campus will be built in Plano, TX, and will be the workplace of about 4,000 Toyota employees. Corgan, who has already done 47 LEED certified projects, is already designing a temporary office for the site while it finishes the project. Toyota expects to begin working from the site in late 2016 or early 2017. Learn more in the press release below. In July, all new electrical generating capacity in the US came from renewable sources. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Office of Energy Projects' newest "Energy Infrastructure Update" report says new electric generation put into service last month came from wind (379 megawatts), solar (21 megawatts) and hydro (5 megawatts). So far this year, 53 percent of new energy generation capacity has come from various renewable sources, and none from coal or nuclear. Currently, renewable energy accounts for 16.3 percent of the US electric generation capacity, providing about 14 percent of actual electricity. The 2022 Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR 86 aftermarket upgrader's guide

Wed, Sep 1 2021

When you own an enthusiast car, there are few events more nerve-wracking than the introduction of its successor. Should you upgrade? Is it worthwhile? What will it cost you to part out your mods and trade up? Well, there's good news for owners of the outgoing Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ who are considering an upgrade: You might not have to start with a clean slate.  If you’re an owner (or even a casual fan) of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 family of sports coupes, youÂ’re probably already aware that the 2022 models are more like aggressive overhauls than true, ground-up redesigns. Neither company really wants to put a spotlight on the fact that their coupes are a little less "all-new" and a little more "back and better than ever," but in our opinion, this is something Subaru and Toyota should embrace.  Why? In a word: continuity. Look no further than the NA (1989-1997) and NB (1999-2005) Mazda Miata. While they are regarded as distinct generations (the NA defined by its pop-up headlights and simpler lines; the NB by its fixed lamps and swoopier styling) and were offered with different equipment packages, the fundamental underlying chassis remained relatively unchanged. This meant that, in many cases at least, buyers could trade up to a new model but bring along some of their factory and aftermarket accessories because theyÂ’d still fit. The BRZ and GR 86 are meant to be fairly bare-bones vehicles, the idea being that they appeal to those who want limited frills at a low cost and those who prefer to view cars as canvases rather than finished masterpieces. A long-running platform makes an excellent candidate for the latter type of car buyer. So, what does that mean for the 2022 BRZ and GR 86? Well, let's break it down by whatÂ’s truly new, whatÂ’s kind-of-new, and whatÂ’s essentially carry-over, with some guidance from Subaru and Toyota engineers.  2022 Subaru BRZ blue action profile View 22 Photos Spankin' new LetÂ’s start with the obvious: the styling. Even if you can find older aftermarket appearance kits that will fit the new BRZ and GR 86 on paper, they probably wonÂ’t bolt up nicely to the new cars due to their sleek new exterior designs. Wings and spoilers might still bolt up, but donÂ’t count on it, and theyÂ’ll probably look disjointed at best anyway.

China sticking to its guns on EVs for the future

Mon, Apr 27 2015

Automakers are obviously free to develop whatever next-gen, zero-emissions tech that they want. However, if a company wants to get on the good side of the Chinese government, that strategy better include some plug-in vehicles. The authorities there are lending major support to plug-ins at the moment, and its forcing the auto industry to play along. According to Bloomberg, Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and BMW are all launching dedicated EV brands with their joint venture partners, and as many as 40 electric models could hit the Chinese market this year alone. However, analysts don't think the vehicles are going to sell well. Instead, the launches are essentially a way for companies to play nice with the government and help get the approval to build factories in the country. Take Toyota as an example. The company is pushing the future of hydrogen hard with promotional films for the Mirai and engineers talking down fast-charging EVs. Still, the Japanese automaker is getting ready to launch two EV brands in China with its joint venture partners, according to Bloomberg. China's push for alternative fuels has been happening for a while, but it really kicked into high gear last year. The government has set a goal to improve fleet-wide economy by 40 percent by the end of the decade in order to spend less importing oil and for the population's health. The plan has shown some success so far with hybrid and EV sales growing early in 2015.
