Black 2002 Great Condition- No major scratches or dents
Well Maintained --- New tires for snow-etc (we go to mammoth often )
We purchased in around 2006 from the Dealer certified with around 26,000 miles - We use this primary for vacation and visiting my husbands children in Arizona
Has the 3rd row option - They have not been used but we still have them for the sale of the car. (second owner)
All beige or tan interior with the wood look on the panel as in picture
We have mostly used the local Toyota dealer and had it checked recently and they said it is in excellent mechanical condition.  All the maintenance is current as we did not plan on EVER selling this car!! They run for 0ver 500,000 per our dealer -- Please have it checked if you pay for the inspection I will take it to the dealer.
---- All power windows sunroof and seats in front all WORK perfectly
---- Heated seats in the FRONT a must for me
---- Power sunroof and power seats
Great for family kids  we have a two year old and it has the proper hooks to install the britax car seat
We love love love this car and we have separated and it doesn't make sense to let this  not be used for what it is known for--
I purchased this car as one of the few cars that still has a tailgate.  If you are like me I love to go in the mountains and sit on the tailgate with picnic -- or a sports game...
I am only 5 feet tall and this car is extremely easy to drive- great turning radius compared to the toyota Sequoia (which is why we purchased this car)  I use to own a toyota forefunner-- this is much more luxurious.

Sports 800 is a progenitor of Toyota performance

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

There's an automotive axiom that claims it's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow. If that's the case, then pushing a Toyota Sports 800 around must be one of the most exhilarating experiences behind the wheel in the world. With just 800cc of displacement from a two-cylinder boxer engine, the focus is on finesse over outright speed. Still, it's a fantastic page in Toyota's performance history, and Petrolicious takes a ride with a man who owns a meticulously restored 1967 example in its latest video.
The Sports 800 used the classic cost-saving strategy in the auto industry of taking parts from a standard model in the lineup and modifying it into a sports car. In this case that meant borrowing the engine from the plebian Toyota Publica, beefing it up for more power and clothing the whole thing a in beautifully shaped, wind-tunnel-honed body.
The look of these lithe, targa roadsters is the exact opposite of the rather dull styling sometimes associated with Toyota today. Everywhere you look there are louvers, vents or curves to draw the eye. Check out the latest Petrolicious video for a detailed look at the history of this rare model that's largely unknown on this side of the Pacific.

How Charlotte lost to Plano without even knowing it was dealing with Toyota

Thu, 08 May 2014

With Toyota set to relocate its North American headquarters to the Dallas, TX suburb of Plano following a top-secret, 100-city search, the cities that missed out can now begin asking themselves what happened during a process they apparently knew little about.
That's a particularly brutal task for Charlotte, which, according to North Carolina's Secretary of Commerce, Sharon Decker, finished second to Plano. While Toyota has been fairly open about what it was looking for in a new headquarters city - direct flights to Japan, proximity to its US production facilities, a lower cost of living, high-quality educational facilities and finding a neutral site suitable to the California, Kentucky and New York-based employees that would be relocated - it's been less open about how the finalist cities, which also included Atlanta and Denver, stacked up against each other.
The Charlotte Observer has a few ideas. Part of the problem is the distinct lack of direct flights between Charlotte and Asia. US Airways, which operates a hub at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, doesn't fly to Asia.

2014 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

The Toyota Tundra is the automotive version of off-brand Cheerios: it doesn't dominate the market, and it's not the first model people think of when they hear the term "pickup truck."
Ford, General Motors and Ram dominate the segment with vehicles that offer ridiculous levels of towing and payload capacities and models loaded with luxury items and primed with tech-rich engines. The off-brands, meanwhile, are led by the Tundra, which while still accounting for six-figure sales (112,732 units in 2013, up from 101,621 in 2012), sits well behind the F-150s and Silverados of the world. After our first drive of the revamped 2014 Tundra, we came away thinking this truck is a total underachiever, aimed at placating Toyota loyalists and doing little to win over new customers.
But everybody deserves a second chance, and we thought a week's drive in a different environment might lead to a different - or at least a more fully realized - opinion. While the Tundra might not be an industry leader, it still makes it on many truck buyers' shopping lists. So, should you consider this off-brand pickup truck? To find out, we borrowed a top-of-the-line Tundra Platinum for a week. Read on to see what we found.
