1995 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.5l on 2040-cars
Ogden, Utah, United States
1995 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series. This is a very clean, low mileage, sharp looking Cruiser that is a pleasure to drive. It is equipped a 3" Old Man Emu lift kit and new 285/75R16 BFG All Terrain KO tires. It has a brand new windshield and tires. It had a seam separation on the drivers seat, so I had it repaired. It looks like a near perfect match. There are some small scrapes and dimples in the truck, and some spots on the lift gate where the paint is "stained", it had a bug shield on it and there is some rubbing on the hood (I couldn't get it to show in pictures), the bug shield will be included in sale. And there is some paint fade on the upper edge on the left front fender flare. If you are familiar with these trucks you know about their ruggedness and reliability. It is rare to find one with such low miles and in this great of condition. The interior is in great condition with only minor flaws, one is a nick in the passenger door panel and one is a nick on the drivers door panel. The engine is smooth and quiet, the transmission shifts perfectly, and the transfer case shifts like it should. All accessories work as they should and the A/C is ice cold. These make excellent off road vehicles with the solid front axle and torque from the 6 cyl engine. This is a no reserve auction, so bid to win.

Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. For now, click through to the FT86Club.com forum to have a slightly closer look at the images.

A few pre-race notes and a lot of photos from the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Sat, 14 Jun 2014The 82nd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is on.
Audi has won 12 of the last 15 events, the scion of Auto Union is trying to make it 13 this year. To do so, it will have to overcome a situation faced only three other times during its dominance of La Sarthe: underdog status. Toyota has won the first two races of the year and claimed pole for this race, the rumor being that this year it's Toyota's race to lose.
And then there's Porsche. It's been 16 years since the Stuttgart brand raced on the top rung at Le Mans, three years years since it announced its return, just a year since it acquired Mark Webber in a signing that wasn't subtle and a few months since we got eyes on the 919 Hybrid.
