1995 Toyota Land Cruiser 55k Miles Leather, Garaged, Never Seen Snow. on 2040-cars
Natick, Massachusetts, United States
Hello, I am the 2nd owner of this gorgeous 1995 Toyota Land cruiser. This vehicle is registered and insured in my name and I have title in hand. This Red Pearl / Burgundy exterior with the Tan leather interior is sensational. The reason the interior looks so stellar is three fold the owner bought OEM Toyota logo seat covers for front and back seats, Not jump seats far rear, Jump seats rear are factory condition. I took the seat covers off when I bought it. They come with the new owner. Funny awesome note, when it was the owners turn to take a load of kids on a travel soccer run he would rent a car so he didn't have to worry about his baby. Thats the church on Sundays you knew I was going to tell you. LOL. You cant make this stuff up.
I bought it with just 50K miles and have owned it not quite a year and it now has 55,449. miles. This was a friend of a friend's that bought this new, AKE: He had it built exclusively for him and his wife as the Toyota plaque on the dash states. Again I cant make this stuff up! The plaque is removable but I left it on. This cruiser was always garaged and always serviced at the same dealership that it was purchased from in FL. ( Documented car ) I became aware of this sale through a friend in Pompano beach FL and he knew I was a Land cruiser enthusiast. Owner had just posted on Craig s list and I bought it site unseen for the asking price. Flew to FL and drove it home. This cruiser has had three batteries installed as suggested every 6 years. All three batteries were Toyota OEM and were purchased at the dealership. ( Thats Crazy! ) who buys batteries at a dealership. This cruiser is as close to showroom as they come for a 19 year old. Awesome pristine shape with low low miles for a unit that loves to go high into the 200.000 range. The care this Land cruiser has been given is documented and is unsurpassed.. The glass for dash gauges, I was trained by Orig. owner how not to use anything but eyeglass cloth. The glass on this unit is nothing short of unbelievable, Virtually scrath free. My 2013 Tundra w/ 5Kmiles has scratches on the windows.. The land cruiser comes with a Toyota installed ( REESE ) trailer hitch with two plug in’s a round 6plug and straight 4 plug. Never used. I have the Tow ball brand new never used in box. ( Never towed with. ) Never smoked in, and owners did not have pets. Ashtray is a candy dish. lol Interior, leather, carpets, dash windows head liner are all in showroom cond. Rear cargo area has Toyota OEM carpets ( Like new ) and previous owner bought Weather tech brand one piece liner for cargo area;__ also, ( like New ) Exterior is in simply amazing condition with only 1 ding on drivers door that will come out with a ding wizard and a hard to find ding lower right bottom tailgate.. ( No rust anywhere.) ( ZERO RUST ) Undercarriage is pristine. roof is pristine with no fading of the paint. If you open doors and tailgate and dig deep for rust for an hour or two; you will find a smooth shine of wax from new! Simply no rust. This Toyota was in Boca FL its whole life and was a 3rd family vehicle to a small family. Thus such low miles for a 19 year old Cruiser. Again all receipts from new come with the cruiser starting with 36 miles and the last at 50K miles all from dealership. Until I bought the cruiser it had never been through a car wash, always done by hand and paint shows that effort. This unit had, ( PER ORIGINAL STICKER, ) Exterior paint sealant with Teflon. Interior Fabric protector, Undercoating sound shield, Glass etching theft deterrent, Running boards, Toyo Guard protection group, mud flaps. And on & on. All installed options were done by Toyota distributer prior to being delivered to owner. See manufacturers original sticker for more info and lot’s more niceties. The original window sticker is in hand. $48,508.00 in 1995 with optional equipment, power tilt/slide glass moonroof, Rear sliding Quarter window, Everyone misses that option in the future models. Power windows power seats, Retractable fold up rear seats, leather package $4Kplus option. Premium sound w/ 9 speakers. Also a well tucked away 20 CD disk changer. How nice. Alloy wheels that look brand new. ( No nicer than any new car rim in any new car lot.) I installed OEM Michelin P275 / 70R16 Radials at 53,760 less than 2000 miles on them. ( THE BEST ) All wheel 4x4 alignment and high speed balanced. The alignment was redundant as closer inspection of dealer receipts this was done just recently. Please come take this for a ride if you can, or have a private inspection prior to bidding. Drives like new, no issues and in mint condition. It is’,, with only 55k miles the nicest 1995 in the country. Shipping will be the responsibility of purchaser. This 19 year old Land cruiser is being sold; Respectfully as is. No warrantees either spoken or in writing. No returns. Winning bid will pay $500.00 deposit to my papal with in 48 hrs of end of auction . "None refundable deposit.” You don't want your $$ back with this baby. Pinch me its Christmas. Balance by cashers check or bank transfer within 7 days. I will work with new owner to aid in shipping delivery. You can bid with confidence with this beauty. HOW CONFIDENT SHOULD YOU BE!>If you have this Land cruiser inspected prior to purchase and find anything wrong. I will fix that issue and write you a check for that same amount. |

Toyota GT86 14R-60 shows how to do lightweight at a steep price
Sat, 11 Oct 2014Toyota is finally making good on its Griffon concept from last year with this limited-edition 14R-60 that basically hops through the Toyota Racing Development catalog to imagine the ultimate lightweight GT86 (the continental relative to the Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z). Unfortunately, it's not coming stateside, and even if this modded Toyobaru were coming here, you might not want to pay the rather steep price.
Like the concept, the 2.0-liter boxer engine still makes the same 197 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. However, the drivetrain isn't entirely untouched thanks to a new air filter, engine oil cooler, a reinforced clutch, lightweight flywheel, and mechanical limited-slip differential from TRD. The six-speed transmission is also tweaked, with different gearing in first and second and an altered final drive ratio.
To keep things planted the suspension gets a new coilovers, a V-shaped tower brace in the front and another in the rear. Improved deceleration comes thanks to upgraded brakes. There also are even more goodies on the outside, including a complete body kit that includes a carbon-fiber roof and massive rear spoiler. The stock wheels are replaced with 18-inch forged magnesium units, as well.
Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
Mazda's new Mexican plant capacity rises to 230,000
Sat, 05 Jan 2013After the turmoil of last year, 2013 is getting off to a much better start for Mazda. The company has issued a release indicating that the forthcoming plant in Salamanca, Mexico has had its production capacity raised even though it isn't scheduled to go online until March 2014. The original plans called for a 140,000-unit capacity, 90,000 of that allotted for the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the remaining 50,000 for a small car Mazda would build for Toyota that would be based on the Mazda2. The new plans call for raising that by 90,000 units to a total of 230,000 units within two years, by the end of March 2016, and it looks like it will all go toward Mazda production to satisfy growing demand for Skyactiv vehciles. The Mexican plant's opening will be the return of Mazda manufacturing to North America, after Mazda6 production was moved back to Japan last year.
More good news for the company is that it projects 10 billion yen ($114 million) in net income for the financial year that will end in March. That would be a welcome turnaround from the 100-billion-yen loss in the previous financial year, part of a series of three annual losses in a four-year span.
You'll find the press release with the factory update below.
