This is an excellent truck that I need to sell asap to facilitate another truck build.
This truck is turn key and go. 244,000 miles. Drives nice and straight, lots of power from the 4.5ltr engine with no smoke (and it's super quiet), tight front end and drivetrain. Brand new tires, 4WD works as it should. It has 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS (usually I hate ABS, but these work great). It's AWD/4WD so obviously it is great in the snow. No Rust Anywhere!! Truck is originally from California (previous owner states that is has only been on east coast about 4-5 years) and it shows. Body and interior show some wear, there are 2 chips taken out of the passenger side dash (each approx. size of a nickel). The passenger seat does not work (full power) and both fronts are torn up pretty good but do have covers on them. A/C, cruise, power sunroof, power windows, rear heat (which is an awesome feature), great tie down bars in rear when 3rd row seats are removed (these seats do come with the truck as do an extra set of fender flares, All 4 of them!!). There are plenty of small dents around the outside of the truck and the front door has POR on the front edge from previous owner to prevent the exposed metal from rusting. This truck is still very presentable. Bottom corners of the windshield have some fogging but nothing that's hinders view. Factory cd/cassette stereo with a factory cooling fan!. This radio is loud!! Aftermarket speakers in front (rear passenger speaker was removed due to buzzing). The only know problems with the truck are a power steering leak, passenger seat up front is not working and has not been diagnosed, the "fog" on the bottom edges of the windshield, the torn up front seats and the power mirrors are not working. Unfortunately this truck DOES NOT HAVE FRONT OR REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOCKERS, just the factory center diff lock when shifted into low range. You can mod this feature to work in high range simply by plugging in a factory diff lock switch available in earlier models (so I'm told) This is a Pre-Emissions vehicle in my state and should be in most states. It does have a recent tune up (still uses a distributor) and belts. No vibrations, this really is a good truck. Truck has a drawbar with flat 4 wire plug. Buyer is responsible for pick up of truck and it can be driven away. Please note that the front flood lights were never wired and have been removed. Lights were mounted in factory holes (not drilled by owner) and factory plugs were reinstalled. There are a couple of duplicate pictures as each time I uploaded them the order changed so my listing picture was of the headliner....uhg. On Jan-12-14 at 13:13:02 PST, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that the truck is 20 minutes from MHT AIrport, Manchester NH. I can pick up buyer. |

Toyota Tundra ditches V6 for 2015
Fri, 12 Sep 2014The Toyota Tundra debuted in new-ish form for the 2014 model year, but as we head into 2015, the truck boasts a couple of small updates. Most notably, the base V6 engine has been discontinued. On top of that, there's the new TRD Pro model on offer for 2015, which we've told you about before.
Why kill the V6? Simple - it was very low-volume. "The Tundra V6 take rate was significantly less than five percent," a Toyota spokesperson confirmed via email to Autoblog. So for 2015, the two V8 engine options remain - a 4.6-liter unit with 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque, or the more powerful 5.7-liter powerplant with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard. Four-wheel drive, of course, is available with either engine.
The only other noteworthy changes for 2015 include an optional integrated trailer brake for the 5.7-liter models, a new rear under-seat tray storage system for Double Cab trucks, and a spray-in bed-liner. Scroll down for the official press blast.
