1992 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Brunswick, Ohio, United States
selling my 92 cruiser.
the good newer tires power steering lines new belts new front calipers pads and rotors new u-joints new battery the bad it is a 92 approaching 200k miles so it obviously will need some attention. has exhaust leak (pipes are stainless steel i think its a hole in one of the converters) could use a tune up. 2 power windows need motors air conditoner not working cruise not working I have driven this car to florida several times and wouldn't hesitate to do it again tomorrow. this car is a tank, full time four wheel drive with a center differential lock. if your looking for something sips gas keep looking. the only reason i'm selling it is it has become impractical for me to own, my son still drives it every day just wants something smaller. I'm new at selling on ebay so i'm sure there will be questions i'll be happy to answer. |

Judge halts Toyota unintended acceleration cases, triggers time for settlement negotiations
Mon, 16 Dec 2013So far, the lawsuits brought forth against Toyota for unintended acceleration have gone both ways: the automaker was found not at fault in a 2009 California crash and liable for a 2007 crash in Oklahoma. Both cases involved a Camry and resulted in fatalities. With a big chunk of these UA cases (around 200) set to his the docket of US District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana, California, Bloomberg is reporting that the judge has halted the lawsuits until March after Toyota and its lawyers have had extra time to try and settle the cases.
According to the article, Toyota is looking to take care of the cases out of court with an "intensive settlement process." Having already paid out $1.6 billion in "economic loss" suits, this latest settlement process is aimed at the wrongful death and personal injury cases allegedly associated with unintended acceleration. A hearing for the settlements will be held on January 14 with conferences on the matter commencing in February. There is no word as to when lawsuits may start back up if settlements can't be agreed upon.
Meet the Most Elegant Automobile, and it's for sale
Sat, 08 Jun 2013Alright, so maybe "most elegant" is a bit of a stretch, but we feel safe in calling the 1992 Toyota Paseo in the video below an "automobile." High praise, we know. Still, it's clear someone loves the awkward little coupe enough to produce a hilarious video to sell the thing. Henry Floyd worked up a quick parody of the over-the-top luxury car ads we all know and loathe, and while the finished product is a little skimpy on details like price or location, it certainly doesn't hold back on the exposition.
Hell, if we didn't already have a parade of horrible ideas floating around our collective driveways, we might even be convinced to give this little heap a new home. You can check out the ad for yourself below, just don't be surprised if you find yourself with a burning desire to own a Paseo.
