1985 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj60 With Low Miles on 2040-cars
Vesper, Wisconsin, United States
Thanks for checking out my 1985 Land Cruiser, which I have owned for the past 15 years. I am for sure the 2nd owner as I bought it from my friend's father....original key and manuals are included in the sale. The miles are accurate and the odometer and all electric in this truck work perfect. This truck needs nothing, oil just changed and you can no doubt drive it home without any issues.
Sorry I do not have a short version. The only reason for the sale is that I have 2 other Toyota 4 wheel drives and recently bought a new Land Cruiser....too many toys. My only goal is to sell a great running truck for a reasonable price. Buy it now, run it for a year or so and then put in the body work if you want to make it pretty again. This thing has a been a snow monster and we got over 4 feet of snow last winter, it tears through it on the way to the ski hill. POSITIVE: This truck always starts and idles perfectly whether it is -10 or 95 degrees. Clear title in MY NAME and there has never been a loan on it. I have receipts that prove I just put $500 dollars in last month for brakes, new starter and some back bumper work. In the past 5 years, new battery, alternator, brake pads, radiator, clutch work and transmission fluid change. This truck has never been in an accident and the alignment is perfect. $400 Sony stereo is also Ipod or Aux capable. New $175 Dunlap spare tire included. Clutch is great and shifts perfect. Again, real low miles (actual 138,000) and these Land Cruisers typically see over 250,000. NEGATIVE: Rusty, yet the frame is solid and was just on the lift at Krings Autosports in Arpin, WI, Air Conditioning does not work, front windshield has a large crack in it, rear (back) side door does not open well. Tail gate only goes 1/2 way down and the parking brake does not work. Rear window with the stickers has scratches and held together with special temp reducing tape. Tires are old but have a lot of tread on them. Some tears in the seat and a crack on the top of the dash. TERMS OF SALE: This Land Cruiser is approx 3 hours away from Milwaukee and/or Minneapolis and is located in Central Wisconsin. No checks of any kind, $200 non refundable Paypal deposit required and cash for the remainder of the sale. Vehicle will not be shipped, but I can meet you at the Mosinee Airport if needed. This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. This vehicle can be previewed prior to the auction end. No warranty of any kind. Sorry, no international bidders. I stand behind my 100% feedback, bid with confidence and please ask questions prior to bidding. Thanks! Brad |

Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"
Watch a Camry driver in full road rage
Mon, 29 Apr 2013There are vehicles that, fair or not, will forever be associated with jerky drivers. But as this very recent footage from an in-car camera shows, even the most mundane of sedans can be piloted by an ass.
In this video, the driver of one very beige Toyota Camry is driving like a person choked with rage. Though we don't see which (if any) actions by our camera car might have lead up to the tirade, we do see the Camry driver swerving from lane to lane, in multiple attempts to get in front of and brake check the couple in the recording.
According to the text associated with the YouTube video, the offending incident took place last week, on a section of I-880 near Fremont, CA. The uploader has gone so far as to include the date, time and license plate number of the Camry driver, in hopes, we guess, that some kind of legal action can be taken against him. Take a closer look for yourself in the video below.
2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross vs. small crossover SUVs: How they compare on paper
Fri, Feb 23 2018In the midst of the crossover SUV boom, each traditional size segment has become saturated. As a result, automakers are beginning to fill the gaps that separate classes, giving us some interesting in-between options. The all-new 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross jumps right into one of those in-between categories bookended by compact and subcompact crossovers. It's a niche that offers more space and feature content than the smallest vehicles, with an extra dose of style and a lower price than bigger ones. Because of the Eclipse Cross' in-between nature, though, there's not really an obvious direct competitor. As such, we've selected a diverse group of small crossovers that are similar to the Eclipse Cross in some but not all key areas: size, price, feature content, style and likely buyers. The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, 2018 Toyota C-HR and 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport each have elements in common, but are different enough to provide useful points of comparison. A chart of specifications and key standard features is shown below, followed by more in-depth analysis. And if you wish to compare these crossovers with others not listed, be sure to check out our comparison tools. Engines and Drivetrains One of the Eclipse Cross' biggest advantages in this segment will be its engine. Subcompact crossovers, including the other three we've chosen, are sluggish to say the least. This new Mitsubishi should be different as it packs a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that belts out a whopping 184 pound-feet of torque. We say whopping, because the C-HR, Crosstrek and Rogue Sport all have between 139 and 147 pound-feet. Horsepower is similarly unimpressive at just 152 horsepower - the same as the Crosstrek - but that torque should make passing and on-ramp runs much more satisfying. The appeal of crossovers for many people is the availability of all-wheel-drive, and this is where the Subaru gets an advantage. Like with all Subarus that aren't a BRZ, the Crosstrek has standard all-wheel drive. The Mitsubishi comes close, making all-wheel drive standard on every trim level except the very base ES trim level. On the Rogue Sport, all-wheel drive is an option on all trim levels. Depending on where you live, though, being able to have front drive on a high-trim crossover could be a plus because it will save some money and improve fuel economy. The C-HR loses this battle as it's only available with front-wheel drive.
