This is a very rare later model diesel Land Cruiser pick up with the tough 2H engine. 1981 was the first year Toyota started using the 2H engine. It has more torque and power, but still gets good mileage at 20mpg. It goes faster than the older H engine as well.

This HJ45 is loaded with AC, Power Steering, and leather seats. It has low miles, and tons of life left in the diesel engine, famous for getting 500k miles. The rims are factory. It also has the overhead compartment for a radio, speakers, and storage, which is a really nice feature.

The body is very clean. No rust or bondo. It was recently painted and the engine was gone over by a certifed mechanic. Anything that needed replacing, was replaced.
This beautiful pick up was well taken care of, and not overworked. The undercarriage is in excellent condition. This was always garage kept, and well maintained with regular oil changes and service.

Everything works perfectly, and everything has been checked over by the mechanic. The tires are fair, not new.
This truck runs excellent, and you can feel the power when you go up a steep hill. It runs quiet; no strange noises, no leaks, or drips.

We sell all our Land Cruisers at very reasonable prices, especially for the condition and rarity, and this one is no exception. The diesel Land Cruisers are great investments because the value will only go up. It seems like everyone wants one of these head turning trucks.

I can add heat for $500 and front disk brakes for $700.

2015 Toyota Sienna

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

It's hard to love a minivan, but it's very, very easy to use one. More than any other kind of vehicle - save a panel van, perhaps - the minivan is the most appliance-like of four-wheeled transportation devices. And most minivan buyers don't need to love their purchases; they just need to use them. So when it comes to a minivan's driving dynamics, who cares?
Well, we do. So we perked right up when Toyota talked about refinements it made to the 2015 Sienna, starting with some 142 added spot welds made to the body structure. Normally not stop-the-presses stuff, but Toyota says the added reinforcements prompted Sienna engineers to recalibrate the springs and shocks for improved handling, and our very limited wheel time along the (admittedly benign) roads on the Big Island of Hawaii revealed the 2015 Sienna SE model's handling to be tidier and more engaging than you'd expect for a porky, 4,560-pound, eight-passenger box on wheels.

2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Introduced at the end of 2006, this is the last year for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the reincarnated FJ40-series Land Cruiser that will shortly journey to Takama-ga-hara, the Plain of High Heaven. In its first model year, we drove it to SEMA and found it, shall we say, coarse. It bobbled on the freeway and droned in the cabin, its boxy interior providing four bounce-boards for unpleasant frequencies. Tall mirrors helped one work around the eclipse of vision aft of the B-pillars, but navigating traffic required forethought and technique. Its turning circle was measured in kilometers. For the first two years of its life, it needed premium gas. It may have been fun to look at, but we couldn't wait to get out of it.
That's not the case anymore, and now the FJ Cruiser is poised to join a long list of vehicles that got better and better, then got axed.

Toyota's Lentz says fuel cells are the future, not EVs

Sun, 25 May 2014

Toyota is not bullish on EVs. That comes from the company's North American CEO, Jim Lentz, who said the company will focus not on electrification, but on continued hybridization with a long-term focus on hydrogen fuel cells.
Lentz questioned the long-range ability of EVs, saying that Toyota feels "there are better alternatives, such as hybrids and plug-in hybrids, and tomorrow with fuel cells." Lentz spoke about Toyota's focus on hydrogen following Forbes Brainstorm Green conference and barely a week after a battery deal between Tesla and Toyota ended, according to Automotive News.
That deal provided for 2,500 battery packs for the Rav4 EV. While valuable to Toyota, the deal "was never about open-ended volume," Lentz said. "It was time to either continue or stop. My personal feeling was that I would rather invest my dollars in fuel cell development than in another 2,500 EVs."
