TLC Stage Three Restored FJ's are the best in the world. In short, it involves a complete tear down and rebuild... leaving no stone unturned. We focus on quality OEM Toyota parts. Body is media blasted to raw metal then repainted using top quality materials. Before reassembly, the body is polyurea coated on the bottom of the tub and fenders, and on the inside floor surfaces. Inside of doors coated in Dynamat. All OEM hardware re-plated in factory finishes, exterior hardware upgraded to stainless steel. Nylon washers applied anywhere you may one day remove a panel, to protect the finishes. Chassis and all trim components are all media blasted to raw metal then powder coated (including rims, bumpers, mirror arms, roll bar, interior trim…). OEM seating restored with new foam, stock stay straps and improved marine quality vinyl. Fully rebuilt or new transmission, transfer case, differentials, steering system, exhaust, intake, suspension, fuel system, all clutch system parts and more. This FJ is perhaps the finest anywhere. Restored as delivered new back in 77, with the exception of LED lighting and improved suspension and 33" tires. Runs and drives as you would expect. A Cruiser of the highest quality, no excuses. An exceptional investment.

This Cruiser was rebuilt by one of the oldest and most respected Land Cruiser experts, TLC4x4. Look into our reputation if you are not familiar with our work. We have restored more FJ40's than anyone, with a consistent focus on quality. Our Cruisers are with happy owners all over the world. This particular FJ40 has been in Southern Ca since new. First owned by the father then the son, then we scored it. Rust free and unaltered. Numbers match. Note that classic Land Cruisers have been bringing six digits at auction lately. We have been restoring and selling them for years, long before they became "the hot thing". If you look closely at the ones selling at the auctions, they are restored with aftermarket parts without an expert eye on authenticity. By from the best, TLC, and rest assured you are getting only the best. Thanks for viewing.

Watch the video for more details. International shipping can be arranged. TLC is a licensed and bonded Ca dealer. All in State buyers will owe (in addition to winning bid) $150 smog and document fee, plus applicable DMV fees and sales tax. Out of State buyers will owe $175 smog and document fee, plus cost of shipping via professional transporter (no sales tax). Inquire for shipping quote.

New drifting world record set in Toyota GT86

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

We have entered a drifting arms race. Last year, BMW smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest drift by hanging the tail out for 51.3 miles around a wet skid pad in an M5 at the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. That beat the previous milestone of nearly seven miles. Now, Bimmer's record is up in smoke as well and is in the possession of a Toyota.
German driver Harald Müller pummeled the old record to drift for 89.55 miles around a 0.15-mile (235.5-meter) course in Samsun, Turkey, in a Toyota GT86 (or Scion FR-S as it's known in the US). According to the Guinness World Records website, it took him 612 laps and 2 hours, 25 minutes and 18 seconds to manage the achievement. Sit back to watch a few minutes of the German's two and a half hours behind the wheel with the tail out.

Toyota recounts past Supra glories

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

It could just be a slow start to the news week around the Toyota offices, but its UK blog has posted a brief history on its legendary Supra sports car. Read into however you'd like, but there has been plenty of speculation as to the return of the Supra nameplate in recent years (including last month from incoming Toyota chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada).
Built from April 1978 through July 2002, Toyota's sports coupe made quite a name for itself as both the Celica Supra (shown above) and the Supra, and the blog post charts many of the changes and highlights through the years. Head on over to the Toyota UK blog to read more about this Supra's history, and then be sure to check out the gallery of images from Toyota spanning all four generations.
