Redwood City, California, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear

Like I stated above, great fj45 ute that has some nice mods,It needs power steering, it currently has an s draglink with all original steering linkage, it will come with the correct vortec power steering bracket and pump, and also a rare rhd fj60 power steering box. Also needs some cross over steering to correct the steering geometry. It steers fine right now but has bump steer on the highway. It also needs some minor electrical, some lights are inop, fuel gauge hooked up,etc. I cleaned up the previous owners black paint on the floors to reveal the original paint and was going to spray line the entire interior, but decided not to, to let the new owner see the original floors(they are very solid, no rust) the rear extracab is about 18 inches and a childs seat does fit, and my 5 year old was just able to tuck his feet under the front seats.I removed the rear seat and it is ready for whatever someone desires. The roof is still removable which is pretty cool. The rear aluminum tray is in good shape with fold down sides and tailgate, headache rack. This will come with a bolt in roll bar slash canopy cover that fits perfect on the tray and has wood sides and an aluminum top, great for hauling dogs!! This truck currently has a clean New Mexico title, I can title it in california if needed, the vortec runs strong,no smoke, no noise, gets pretty good mpgs and you can actually merge on a freeway with ease! Please ask questions before bidding, truck located in the bay area california,I will help with shipping logistics, no warrantys,as is sale, I reserve the right to end auction as it is for sale locally. Bid with confidence, look at my feedback, you must have some feedback,0 feedback contact me before bidding.these truck are hard to find and even harder with all the scams and shady sellers trying to sell trucks that are not in the states. I am going to let the market decide the value so this is a true no reserve auction, high bidder wil win a great unique rig! ( the vortec conversion alone was $6000!)

BMW-Toyota sports car heading towards Tokyo debut
Mon, 20 May 2013Earlier this year, BMW and Toyota confirmed a four-part joint venture mostly focusing on increasing improving vehicle efficiency using fuel cells, lightweight materials and better battery technology. Also tucked into the announcement was a "feasibility study" for a shared platform to underpin a future midsize "sports vehicle."
In terms of the latter, it seems that things have stepped up from the feasibility stage to the conceptual stage, as Motor Trend reports we could see a pair of new sports car concepts debut later this year in at the Tokyo Motor Show. There isn't much information about the new program, but the article suggests the sports cars could be all-wheel drive hybrids, with electric motors powering the front wheels and a gas engine powering the rear wheels. While a partnership between Toyota and BMW might not lend itself to a catchy portmanteau like "Toyobaru," here's hoping it will bear fruit that is as exciting as the ones produced by the Toyota/Subaru tie up.

Toyota retires robots in favor of humans to improve automaking process
Sat, 12 Apr 2014Mitsuru Kawai is overseeing a return to the old ways at Toyota factories throughout Japan. Having spent 50 years at the Japanese automaker, Kawai remembers when manual skills were prized at the company and "experienced masters used to be called gods, and they could make anything." Company CEO Akio Toyoda personally chose Kawai to develop programs to teach workers metalcraft such as how to forge a crankshaft from scratch, and 100 workstations that formerly housed machines have been set aside for human training.
The idea is that when employees personally understand the fabrication of components, they will understand how to make better machines. Said Kawai, "To be the master of the machine, you have to have the knowledge and the skills to teach the machine." Lessons learned by the newly skilled workers have led to shorter production lines - in one case, 96percent shorter - improved parts production and less scrap.
Taking time to give workers the knowledge to solve problems instead of merely having them "feed parts into a machine and call somebody for help when it breaks down," Kawai's initiative is akin to that of Toyota's Operations Management Consulting Division, where new managers are given a length of time to finish a project but not given any help - they have to learn on their own. It's not a step back from Toyota's quest to build more than ten million cars a year; it's an effort to make sure that this time they don't sacrifice quality while making the effort. Said Kawai, "We need to become more solid and get back to basics."
