1972 Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser in Montana.  This FJ is Complete, Uncut and Unmolested with all Original Items.

Drive Train:

Fj was converted to 350 with single exhaust.   When running it is quite and sounds great, It does not sound like a hot rod just a normal cruiser (sleeper).  V8 is mated to the original 3 speed and transfer case.  Four wheel drive works good and does have locking hubs on the front.  There are no fluid leaks and everything mechanical works as it should, Nothing needs to be rebuilt.   Besides the V8 everything else is original equipment.

Body:

FJ has never been repainted original Forest Green color.  The body is solid and original, But it does have some dings and dents but nothing major.  It has aged better than most people.  Please view the pictures to get a good idea of the body.   All Metal is good and sound.  No rust holes or major areas of concern.  All glass is in excellent shape except for the wind shield that does have a couple chips.  FJ does have dual fuel tanks.

Interior:

Interior is amassing.  The paint on the inside is very good condition in person you would not believe this is a 72 by how nice it is.  Inside is 100% complete except for the front seat covers and front seat belts.  The Dash is clean, good paint, original and uncut.  Speedometer does not work it is stuck on 70.  Floors front and back are solid and absolutely no rust.  Wheel wells are also great paint and no rust.  Original bench seat up front with seat covers.  Rear Jump Seats completely original.  Also has Original Jack and Tool Kit stamped Toyota.

Extras:

Included are three spare tires, one looks like the original spare for 1972.  Brand new headliner, never opened.  Original roof rack clamps.  Original wire harness for 6 cylinder.  Original Front Seat Backs.  Three Toyota repair books.

For a 1972 this FJ is in incredible condition.  It does look even better in person than in Pictures.  This FJ is ready to use as a daily driver or a great candidate for a restore, nice thing about restoring this one is all badges and little parts are original, accounted for and in great condition.  I honestly don’t think you will ever find a more complete 72 FJ that won’t break the bank.

If you are local you are welcome to take a look at this vehicle.  If you have questions or would like other pictures please let me know.

There is a $500.00 Deposit Due at End of Auction.  The balance must be by certified check or cash.

Toyota nears $40B cash reserve as calls grow for new investment, payouts

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

With the April 15 tax deadline just a few months away, our US readers will be faced with a decision should they get a refund: save or spend? It seems this issue is one many of us face whenever there's a windfall, trying to decide whether we should set the money aside in an account of some sort or use it as a down payment on a new car or a trip to the Apple store. Unsurprisingly, major corporations face a similar, albeit more complex, issue.
Take Toyota, for example. With President Akio Toyoda at the helm, the Japanese manufacturer has gracefully weathered recalls and natural disasters, all while turning beaucoup profits. Last quarter, profits quintupled to 434.4-billion yen ($4.3-billion USD), according to Bloomberg. Toyota also upped its forecast for the end of fiscal year 2013 (which ends on March 31 for Japan), to a record 1.9-trillion yen (about $18.8 billion). Now, the Japanese brand is reportedly sitting on a cash pile of nearly $40 billion, leaving Toyoda-san in an envious predicament - what should the company do with all that money?
Some think Toyota should be doing something, anything with that big stack of cash.

Toyota confirms i-Road electric trike for production

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The wacky, three-wheeled Toyota i-Road we saw in Geneva earlier this year will be heading to production. But before you run down to your local Toyota dealer looking for one of these all-electric "personal mobility" vehicles, chances are, you'll never actually see one unless you visit Japan.
Announced at the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) expo last week, Toyota said that the i-Road would be used as a part of the Ha:Mo car-sharing system in Japan. Weighing in at around 661 pounds, with a 28-mile-per-hour top speed and a two-passenger seating arrangement, the i-Road seems more like a fully enclosed scooter than a car, but it does offer a 30-mile driving range and has a nifty articulating front suspension that leans into corners. As for Ha:Mo, Toyota says that the number of cars in the program will increase from 10 prior to October 1 to 100 by the middle of this month, and the number of stations will almost double from 13 up to 21. Toyota has more details about the car and Ha:Mo in the press release posted below.
