1970 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj40 With 305, Runs Like A Top on 2040-cars
Sheridan, Wyoming, United States
1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Chevy 305 Toyota 3 Speed Transmission It may not be the prettiest truck, but it may be the most fun. Old yeller has a lot of life left to give someone. Take her up in the mountains, climb rocks, hills, whatever, she won't let you down. She has a snotty 305 with the original Toyota 3 speed transmission. It has new brake lines and a new master cylinder. It is missing the rear heater and a side vent window. I do have those spare parts so they will come with the truck, just not installed. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions about it. 307 752 6033 As far as the body goes, it has lots of diamond plate, but at least it isn't falling apart! With a little paint it probably wouldn't look too bad! Please do any and all inspections, test drives, etc. before placing any bids! This truck is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction. Happy bidding! |

Toyota MR2 shows why we still love the 1990s
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Was there a better time for Japanese performance than the 1980s and 1990s? It seems like looking back, Japan was on a roll, producing cars that were affordable, economical, reliable, fast and lightweight. And while all the attention is - thanks to a certain film series - focused on cars like Toyota Supra and Mazda RX-7, there is a lesser-known model that's establishing its own enduring legacy without the help of Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.
The MR2, affectionately known as the "Mister Two" to fanboys, first arrived in 1984 as a lightweight, mid-engined sports car that proceeded to eat the lunch of the Pontiac Fiero in terms of performance. That car was replaced in 1989 with the more familiar, rounded-out MR2, which is the subject of this latest video from the team at Petrolicious.
The video takes a look at a group of MR2 drivers, and attempts to explain what it is about the car that is destined to make it a future classic. Scroll down to see Petrolicious examine the MR2 Connection.
Toyota builds world's first 'outdoor website' for RAV4 promo
Thu, 08 Aug 2013This whole thing started with the premise that Toyota's target RAV4 buyers are people who spend their time cycling, hiking, and generally not in front of computer screens. These people are therefore not able to benefit from the full website experience that Toyota has built for the RAV4. We should clarify that the video below is for Toyota South Africa, and maybe RAV4 buyers there really are the disgustingly outdoorsy ideal that us bacon-eaters are not living up to.
Toyota's agency partner, Hello Computer, set up a 1.8-kilometer track at a cycle park that replicated sections of the automaker's website with real physical displays and interactive feedback. Riders were asked to leave their mouses and hit the trail on a mountain bike to experience the RAV4 Outdoor Website and learn about the vehicle.
That seems like a lot of effort for something that's available on the smartphones of these hyper-active people who aren't in front of computers, but hooray for creatively conquering a problem that didn't exist. Hey, let's not be complete wet blankets - maybe some of the cyclists that ran the Toyota gauntlet got a RAV4 for their to- and fro-ing after the experience. Check out the video of the outdoor website below.
