Hemet, California, United States
HERE IS THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME... A RUST FREE 1969 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER THAT IS ROCK SOLID. THE PHOTOS PROVE THIS HAS BEEN IN A SMALL DESERT TOWN IN ARIZONA ALL ITS LIFE, JUST LOOK AT THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND THE BARN DOORS. THIS CRUISER ALSO RUNS GOOD AND STOPS GREAT. IT JUST HAD A SMALL TUNE UP DONE LAST WEEK AND IT IS READY TO GO.
LIGHTS WORK, WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORK, GLASS WORKS, BRAKES WORK ITS READY TO DRIVE HOW IT IS OR MAKE AN AMAZING RESTORATION PROJECT. THE RUBBER AROUND THE DOORS IS OLD AND IT COULD BE REPLACED. THE WINDOWS ROLL UP NICE AND TIGHT AND THE DOORS CLOSE GREAT. THE TAB FOR THE DOOR STOP ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS BROKEN LOOSE HOWEVER IT IS STILL INTACT AND COULD EASILY BE WELDED BACK ON. THE PAINT JOB IS VERY OLD AND IS FADING AND SCRATCHED UP. THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD CONDITION HOWEVER THE SPRINGS IN THE DRIVER SEAT OR PRETTY SOFT. I HAVE A CLEAN AND CLEAR ARIZONA TITLE IN MY NAME. THE HEATER IS ALL HOOKED UP AND THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WORKS AS WELL. THE MOTOR IS A STOCK SIX CYLINDER WITH A THREE SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS AND I WILL ANSWER QUICKLY. IF YOU WANT CERTAIN PICTURES PLEASE LET ME KNOW. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT A FULLY RESTORED LAND CRUISER AND MY RESERVE IS LOW AND IT REFLECTS THE CONDITION. THANKS FOR LOOKING |

Toyota announces Geneva plans including droptop FT-86 Open concept
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Automakers from around the globe are gearing up for the Geneva Motor Show next month, and Toyota is giving us a couple teasers of what will be in its display. In addition to what appears to be a single-seat concept called the i-Road (shown at right), Toyota will also give us our first look at a droptop Scion FR-S courtesy of the FT-86 Open Concept.
All we have to go on right now is this sketch shown above, but we do see that this car will retain its rear seats, which could be a potential advantage over one of its key rivals, the Mazda MX-5 Miata. Toyota says that this concept will be used to gauge public interest in such a convertible, but we've already heard that a Scion convertible is already planned to go on sale as soon as early next year. As far as Toyota's other concept, there also isn't much information about the i-Road except that it will be a zero-emissions vehicle and it will have seating for two passengers, which based on the drawing will have the driver sitting in front of the passenger.
Toyota will also show off the European version of the new RAV4 as well as its new Auris Touring Sports, which it refers to as a "medium-size estate." Scroll down for Toyota's tease of a press release.
Toyota Harrier gets a whale of a facelift [w/video]
Thu, 21 Nov 2013Historically, the Toyota Harrier has been a doppelgänger for North America's Lexus RX - at some points, it was little more than a badge-swap and a few options away, at least aesthetically. That appears to be changing with this just-revealed new generation at the Tokyo Motor Show.
That's because this two-row, five-seat Toyota is in possession of a bold new look, dominated by a jutting, baleen-like grille edged in chrome, along with new headlamps and fascia. The greenhouse has likewise been revamped and gotten more pointed at the rump, which has new taillights, a resurfaced tailgate and a faux rear diffuser. Were it to be ported over to North American Lexus dealers intact, the Harrier's look would be jarring in light of the brand's spindle-grille-based design language, so we suspect that if the RX gets any of these updates (it was just refreshed for 2013), it will strike out on a different path visually.
Unlike the US RX, the new Harrier will rely on smaller-displacement four-cylinder engines, namely a 2.0-liter paired with a continuously variable transmission or a 2.5-liter four backed up by an electric motor. We'd like to see a smaller-displacement option for the US RX (it presently runs with 3.5-liter V6 engines in both gas-only and hybrid guise), but suspect it won't arrive until the next all-new model.
