I CAN TALK ON THE PHONE IF YOU'D LIKE, AND I CAN MAKE A DEAL ON IT EARLY AT ANY TIME. THANKS

1964 TOYOTA FJ-45 4x4 WAGON

These FJ45 wagons are super rare and are worth a lot when restored. If you going to fix something up, these are great because they are worth more and hold their value well.  I would like to state that this is a bill of sale auction. I do not have the title but will supply you with a notarized bill of sale. There are a few national title companies that you can use to get a title, or your state system. Some states are easier than others but a notarized bill of sale is the primary thing needed in any state and I know that is what the title companies need also. I would do it myself, but have many cars and have done it many times and just tire of the paperwork. If your doing just one car it's pretty easy. I've done dmv checks on this and it's out of the dmv system and last tags were '85. Judging from the VIN number and body, this should be a 1964 model fj45. You may know more on the subject than I do but I've compared the vin to others that are close numerically and they were '64 models. This fj needs full restoration but as many of you know, they are pretty rare to find. I've looked on ebay alot and there is usually none on here. Here are all the details.

The toyota needs full restoration but is pretty solid for a project. Front floorpans has rust in front of and behind the seat. Rear cargo area floor in nice shape. Rear fender extentions (area behind rear wheel low) both have rust. Rust in corners some too. The tailgate looks to be rust free but has bondo from being dented at some point. It does open/close fine but sticky from not being used for almost 30 years. Rear window frame, roof, drip rails are rust free. Doors are rust free. Rear quarters in good shape besides the rust mentioned. Front clip, firewall, header, and frame are rust free. Overall, a very solid body for restoration but does need the floor and rear quarter work. All doors close but a couple don't latch because latches need lubing. Will be tied shut for shipping unless I get time to fix them first. The landcruiser is mostly original but original seats are gone and original wheels. Seats out of an fj40 are most likely the same and easy to find.

The toyota has what I'm sure is the original six cylinder engine. If it matters to you, I can check the numbers on it. The head is gone but head bolts and pushrods are included. I'm sure the short block needs a rebuilt. Transmission is a three speed on the column and does shift into all gears and holds the toyota from rolling. The vehicle steers and tires hold air.

THIS VEHICLE IS USED, OLD, AND SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY. IT NEEDS MAJOR RESTORATION AND DOESN'T RUN.

Cheap, honest transportation | 2017 Toyota Yaris iA

Fri, Mar 24 2017

In The Love Bug, the main character (aside from Herbie) is a down-on-his-luck racing driver named Jim Douglas. Early on, he steps into an exotic car show room, and when the dealer asks him kind of car he's looking for, Douglas replies, "What do you have in the way of cheap, honest transportation?" The dealer quickly snatches his fancy liquor back from Douglas and soon after Herbie shows up from the back of the showroom. But if this happened today, you could easily replace the classic Beetle with a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA. The poor thing isn't nearly as endearing to look at as a classic Bug, as a result of the rather unattractive nose, and it's now using a second pseudonym (first Scion iA, then Toyota Yaris iA) to hide its Mazda heritage. However, everything else about it nails the description of cheap, honest transportation. And for that reason, it's a lovely little car. Let's start with honesty, and it begins from the minute you start equipping the car – the iA is a "what you see is what you get" proposition. You see, the iA moniker isn't the only holdover from the Scion era. The Toyota Yaris iA retains its "monospec" configuration, which means it comes with only one option: the transmission. Customers can choose from either a 6-speed manual like our test car, or a 6-speed automatic which costs $1,100. Everything else is standard, and "everything" includes some choice features. You get alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, USB and Bluetooth integration, a rear-view camera, tilt and telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, and keyless entry with push-button start. Technically there are a number of dealer-installed accessories too, including your typical fare of mudguards, rear spoiler, cargo organizers, and such. However, none of them are really necessary, with one exception. For some odd reason, the Yaris iA does not come with a center armrest. It's a $195 accessory, and frankly it should be a standard feature because it's so useful. If you hadn't guessed, ours wasn't equipped with it. Everywhere else the iA is a thoroughly pleasant car, if not as sporty as the old Mazda2. The little 1.5-liter four-cylinder under the hood isn't particularly potent with 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque. But with a Miata-like 2,385-pound curb weight and our car's manual transmission, it manages to feel fairly sprightly, and never has any trouble dicing it up with traffic. That transmission is pretty decent, too.

Toyota discontinuing FJ Cruiser after 2014 model year

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is not long for this world. According to the manufacturer's own fleet website, the rugged FJ will be discontinued after the 2014 model year, with the companies final orders due in June of next year.
Toyota first launched the FJ Cruiser in 2006 as a 2007 model, and aside from minor year-over-year changes, it has not been substantially updated. The FJ is the modern successor to the original FJ40 Land Cruiser that Toyota produced from the 1960s all the way up through 1984, when the automaker decided to better focus on its larger, four-door Land Cruiser line. Currently, it uses a 4.0-liter V6 engine with either rear- or four-wheel drive, and is available with either a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Interestingly, word of the FJ's demise comes not long after Toyota's US boss, Bill Fay, reaffirmed his company's commitment to body-on-frame trucks in late July.
Also of interest, Toyota's fleet website states that the 2014 model year Prius range will have "minor updates," though it's unclear what those are as of this writing. When Autoblog reached out to confirm these developments with Toyota, spokesman Curt McCallister reminded us, "As is our corporate policy, we don't discuss future products beyond the present or upcoming model year."

Mazda ad showing Facebook updates while driving criticized by Senate committee [w/video]

Sat, 08 Feb 2014

Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-WV, held an all-day summit on Thursday to discuss the dangers of using modern technology while driving, during which an ad that Mazda aired during the Super Bowl was used as an example of the worrisome future towards which we're headed. While seemingly innocuous at first glance, the ad, which can be seen below, shows a brief glimpse of a driver using the Mazda Connect infotainment system in a Mazda3 to check/update his Facebook page while driving down the road.
Officials from major communications companies like Samsung, Google and Apple attended the summit, as well as representatives from automakers including General Motors and Toyota. A representative from Mazda was not present despite the company's own currently available technology being used as the poster child for the issues being discussed.
According to Automotive News, Senator Rockefeller warned the automaker and communication execs on hand that he will propose legislation to regulate the use of technology while driving if they don't work together to implement their own standards more quickly. Michael Robinson, GM's vice president of sustainability and global regulatory affairs, argued that his company has had distracted driving guidelines in place for 15 years since the advent of its OnStar system, noting that the technology in question has also helped the automaker save lives through automatic crash detection and calls to 911.
