Toyota Fj Cruiser Trd on 2040-cars
Augusta, New Jersey, United States
My camera on my iPhone 5S is terrible, if serious please request better pictures for specific parts of the car. I assure you that the car is flawless. Also, please let me know if you are local and would like to see the car. The car is in the 07730 Zip code of New Jersey. Also, the car does have warranty options direct through Toyota that will cover the car for 75K Miles and/or 6ys. Currently the car has 20k miles. I originally leased this car brand new in 2013 fully loaded with the TRD wheel package. The car is extremely clean with no issues and was just recently detailed in the past week. The car has only seen street and highway driving, I have never taken the car off-road and I have alwasy put premium gas into the car. This car has been pampered and is ready for an owner who can really take advantage of the offroad qualities this car has to offer. Good luck finding another FJ Cruiser with a TRD wheel package. The wheels make the car into a mountain climbing monster. 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser This Toyota includes: OFF-ROAD PACKAGEFloating-Ball Multi-Information Display with inclinometerFloating-Ball CompassOutside Temperature GaugeActive Traction Control (A-TRAC)Crawl Control (CRAWL)Electronically Controlled Locking Rear DifferentialCONVENIENCE PKG Power Door LocksKeyless EntryCruise ControlPrivacy GlassUPGRADE PKG TRD 16 Inch Offroad WheelsAM/FM StereoMP3 PlayerLocking/Limited Slip DifferentialCD PlayerBackup CameraLeather Steering WheelTraction ControlCD ChangerSatellite RadioBluetooth ConnectionPremium Sound SystemAuxiliary Audio Input

Toyota preparing Scion-badged Nissan Juke fighter
Thu, Aug 20 2015As we've said on multiple occasions, the sub-compact crossover market is The Next Big Thing™. With that in mind, Toyota's lack of a competitor to the new breed of super-small, super-cute crossovers like the Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and Jeep Renegade has been especially glaring. But as these photos show, the hole in the Japanese giant's lineup could soon be filled. Our spies captured this heavily disguised prototype testing in the deserts of the American southwest, signaling that Toyota is preparing to wade into the Nissan Juke's space by offering a tiny, but very heavily styled crossover of its own. Our spy photographers call the cute ute's look "aggressive," citing inspiration from the Toyota C-HR concept from the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Based on the meaty wheels and tires and what we can see through the camo, we're inclined to agree with their assessment. Underneath that sheet metal, we're told the new car rides on Toyota's new NGA platform. Like the Juke, a four-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission will be on offer, although there's no telling whether Toyota will follow its rival's enthusiast beat and offer a six-speed manual version. What we find most interesting about all of this conjecture, though, is what it means for Scion, rather than its parent. Introducing a small crossover is the next logical step for Toyota's troubled sub-brand, and would serve as a delectable followup to the recently released iA sedan and iM hatch. Such a three-model lineup, when combined with the enthusiast-oriented FR-S, would transform Scion into a force to be reckoned with in the entry level space. Supporting this conjecture isn't too hard, either. As the spy photos show, this camo'd tester is being supported by a xB, the closest thing Scion (or its parent company, for that matter) have to a sub-compact CUV. It's unclear just when this new model will make its debut, but if Toyota hopes to make inroads into this popular new segment, this CUV will need to arrive before its extremely competent rivals can establish a solid foothold. Toyota to end Australian production by 2017
Mon, 10 Feb 2014There is more bad news for the Australian auto industry today, as Toyota has just announced that it will follow General Motors and Ford in shuttering its manufacturing operations on the continent. Production and assembly will cease by the end of 2017, but Toyota will remain in Australia as a sales and distribution company.
"We did everything that we could to transform our business, but the reality is that there are too many factors beyond our control that make it unviable to build cars in Australia," said Toyota Australia President and CEO Max Yasuda.
In an official statement, Yasuda said that the closure would directly affect 2,500 manufacturing employees and an unknown number of corporate workers. However, a report in the Australian newspaper The Age suggests that the jobs of 24,000 workers at Australian auto suppliers could also be in jeopardy. Toyota currently builds its Camry, Camry Hybrid, Aurion sedans in Australia, along with four-cylinder engines, and it plans to begin importing the Camry and Aurion after production stops.
BMW-Toyota sports car heading towards Tokyo debut
Mon, 20 May 2013Earlier this year, BMW and Toyota confirmed a four-part joint venture mostly focusing on increasing improving vehicle efficiency using fuel cells, lightweight materials and better battery technology. Also tucked into the announcement was a "feasibility study" for a shared platform to underpin a future midsize "sports vehicle."
In terms of the latter, it seems that things have stepped up from the feasibility stage to the conceptual stage, as Motor Trend reports we could see a pair of new sports car concepts debut later this year in at the Tokyo Motor Show. There isn't much information about the new program, but the article suggests the sports cars could be all-wheel drive hybrids, with electric motors powering the front wheels and a gas engine powering the rear wheels. While a partnership between Toyota and BMW might not lend itself to a catchy portmanteau like "Toyobaru," here's hoping it will bear fruit that is as exciting as the ones produced by the Toyota/Subaru tie up.
