Beautifully restored, head turning FJ40 Toyota Land-cruiser. We can't go anywhere in this thing without people staring, waving, and asking to check it out! Very nice, very clean.
Year: 1972 Condition: very nice condition. Very little rust, recent paint job using authentic Toyota Fj40 seafoam color. Smoke free. No mechanical problems. Odometer says: 24,570k however actual mileage unknown. Registered as collector vehicle. Features: 4" Lift with hellcat wheels and new 35" Goodyear wrangler mt/r tires Kevlar Straight 6 engine from a 1982 Fj40 Newer leather seats front and back. Front electric seats CD player and security box Inside all weather lining sprayed Fully under coated Majority of nuts and bolts changed to stainless steel History: purchased the vehicle from private party seller who did entire restoration. Purchased from WA state and shipped to Hawaii. SHIPMENT AND PAYMENT: money order and or cashiers check. Direct communication with seller throughout process. Impala crashes into Land Cruiser... to hide from a cheetah
Fri, 12 Jul 2013What would you do if a wild animal jumped into your vehicle through an open window during an African safari? What if said animal was an impala being chased by cheetahs? Though the scenario seems unbelievable, that's just what happened to a group of tourists in Kruger National Park in South Africa, and it was all caught on video.
With the tour groups stopped, a motorist with a video camera handy happens to catch the unlikely sight of a herd of impalas (not that kind of Impala) jumping over the tarmac while being followed, quickly of course, by two cheetahs. The feline predators thought they had cornered one impala and were closing in for the kill when it jumped through the open window of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado - South Africa's version of the Lexus GX. Fortunately for the occupants of said vehicle, the cheetahs did not follow.
A short while later, one of the occupants in the Toyota fearlessly opens a door to let the poor animal out. It must have been its lucky day, because the cheetahs didn't take pursuit. Check out the circle life get interrupted by this traffic jam in the video below.
Nissan, Toyota offering payment deferments to people affected by government shutdown
Tue, 15 Oct 2013Two weeks into the budget-related government shutdown and it sounds like some progress is finally being made, but that doesn't really help furloughed government employees pay their bills. To help out a little, Nissan and Toyota are joining Hyundai with offering payment deferments to current owners and lessees.
In a release, a Nissan spokesperson said the company is "sympathetic to any of our customers who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances - many times outside of their control."
Both Japanese automakers are allowing payment extensions of up to 90 days without penalties or fees. Unlike the Hyundai Assurance Plan, though, it doesn't seem like the Nissan or Toyota assistance will be extended to those who are still in the buying process.
