For your consideration. This 2008 4x4 FJ is simply amazing. As a 1 owner vehicle, the care, maintenance, and reliability of this Toyota far exceeds the norm. The FJ has never missed an interval and has only been serviced by a Toyota dealer since it rolled off the showroom. It has never been an in accident. It has no dents dings or scrapes. Very few small rock chips in the front area. All glass is perfect. Paint has been waxed no less than twice per year and is in excellent condition. Clear title in hand.
Several unique features have been added. Most noticeably is the color matched roof. A 3 inch lift kit was installed. A custom ladder for easy accessibility to the roof rack. Diamond plate interior accents. Larger wheels and tires. The tires are Nitto Terragrappler 285-65-18 and have 90% tread remaining. XM radio. Tube steps. Seat covers were added right after purchase. Not only are they in great shape, but the original seat material is practically brand new. TRD performance exhaust. Although the FJ is nearing 100k miles, it feels almost new. It has never been smoked in. We do not have kids or dogs. Adult owned, responsibly driven. Every service record is accounted for. It drives and performs as well as it did brand new. Toyota and Mazda set to expand partnership
Mon, May 11 2015Toyota and Mazda are already teaming up for the Scion iA and Mazda2, but that partnership might just be the beginning. Reuters reports the two Japanese companies could expand their work together, with Toyota chipping in its experience with both fuel cells and plug-in-hybrid tech, and Mazda contributing its know-how in regards to its Skyactiv line of engines. The report cites a pair of unnamed sources that are "not authorized to discuss the matter publicly." The move, on the surface, is certainly appealing for both parties. Mazda has very little experience with hybrids (remember the Ford-rebadged Tribute Hybrid?), let alone something as advanced as a fuel-cell vehicle. Teaming with Toyota, arguably the world's greatest hybrid manufacturer, would give it a serious leg up. For the Japanese giant, meanwhile, a partnership with Mazda could expand the economy of scale for the Mirai FCV's tech, while Skyactiv engines would do well in replacing the base engines in cars like the Corolla, Camry, and RAV4. This Irishman really likes the Toyota GT86
Sun, 10 Feb 2013Okay, okay - by this point in time just liking the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, what have you) doesn't make you special. Even if you're a sort of funny sounding, funny looking Irishman, who probably isn't the most seasoned car reviewer ever, digging the GT86 is not news.
However, if, when you choose to publish your ten-minute-long review, you include exclamatory phrases about your own pubic hair, Ozzy Osborne's drug habit and "gentleman vegetable stuff," well sir, then you'll have our attention.
Don't give up on this video, available down below, after the first couple of minutes, we implore you. The silver-tongued Irishman doesn't really get warmed up until four minutes in, or so. Believe us, it's worth the wait.
Toyota Aygo stars in 'invisible driver' prank
Sat, 14 Jun 2014We love a good automotive-themed prank. Rémi Gaillard remains a favorite, although maybe we should take a closer look at MagicOfRahat, another online prankster. Rahat, who has developed a bit of a reputation for blending in with car seats, giving the impression that there's no one behind the wheel, has taken his talents to Europe, in a new video for Toyota.
Dressed to look like the seat of the new Toyota Aygo, Rahat goes about town freaking out tollbooth operators, valets, fast food servers and even receiving a bit of unwanted attention from the police. The result is, as is usually the case with this prank, pretty darn amusing. We were kind of hoping he'd pop up and give his victims a fright, as he did in his Halloween video, but alas, that wasn't to be.
