          **** ONE OWNER ****

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4DR 4X4 Auto Meticulously Maintained  1 Senior Female OWNER

The vehicle has been very well maintained and loved by its previous “one owner” female owner.  Very well optioned and well built up FJ ready to go off-road. The miles were almost all freeway.  Rarely do these vehicles in this condition become available!

You are looking at a wonderfully kept and meticulously maintained 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser in Black Cherry with white accent top equipped with factory running boards and a new factory rear spare hard cover holder.

The regular oil change was just performed and recently all new Michelin tires (265/70R17) and a new windshield! There is an aftermarket Sirius radio for your enjoyment. The exterior is in amazing shape. Paint is super shiny and still shines like new!

Powered by a 239 HP 4.0L V6, this FJ cruiser is as happy at home on the highway (where most of the miles on this one came from) as it is winding down your nearest dirt road.  Gas mileage for a truck like this is amazing at over 22 MPG on our last highway trip!  With a robust and 4WD system, you won't be locked in the house no matter the weather. Tow hitch is also an option on this vehicle.  Factory wheels are in amazing shape (see photo's)

This truck is available for inspection any time you make an appointment and inspections are welcomed and recommended.

I am supremely confident that if you have been looking for one of these trucks, you have landed on the right one.  This truck is in need of nothing.  Everything works perfectly as it should, all power equipment is in fully functional condition.  No strange noises or creaks.  Senior Female Adult owned and highway driven.

Please see the pictures to appreciate the condition of this Toyota FJ Cruiser! Very clean upholstery and the rest of the interior. No significant scratches or dents! This car is ready to go for a long time!

First Toyota unintended acceleration case headed for trial

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Toyota is going to be back in the spotlight, as the first of its unintended acceleration lawsuits is headed for trial. This case covers a Los Angeles sushi shop owner, Noriko Uno. According to the what the family told The Detroit News, Uno only put about 10,000 miles on her 2006 Toyota Camry in four years. Uno was apparently afraid of high speeds, avoiding the freeway and taking a route home along LA's surface streets to avoid them.
On August 28, 2009, Uno's Camry suddenly accelerated to 100 miles per hour, eventually striking a telephone poll and a tree and killing her. The family contends that Uno attempted to step on the brakes and pull the emergency brake, neither of which brought her speed under control, while Toyota maintains that improperly installed floormats and driver error have been behind the majority of the 80 cases expected to be heard in court.
In Uno's case, The Detroit News is expecting the trial to focus on the lack of an override if the gas and brake pedals were pressed at the same time. Brake overrides were installed on Toyota's European fleet. The Uno family attorney will need to prove to the jury that it wasn't driver error that killed Noriko Uno.

Toyota moving US headquarters to Plano, Texas

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

It's official, Toyota is relocating its US operations to Plano, TX. And it won't be a symbolic 'all ranch and no cattle' gesture - the Japanese automaker, whose headquarters have been in California since 1957, has decided to base nearly all of its operations in the Lone Star State, including much of its engineering, finance and sales and marketing teams.
The move, which will see the establishment of a new headquarters campus in the Dallas suburb will not only affect employees at the company's current Torrance, CA Toyota Motor Sales USA campus, it will also touch the lives of thousands of employees at the company's other operations, including 1,000 workers at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America in Erlanger, KY and some New York-based staff as well. The Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, MI is not facing relocation, however, and it actually stands to gain responsibilities as Toyota overhauls its US org chart. Toyota says that its reorganization will affect about 4,000 employees in total.
According to Automotive News, while Toyota is adopting an "'everyone is invited' stance for the relocation," some attrition is expected from employees who aren't interested in relocating southward from the Golden State. For its part, the automaker is reportedly making expenses-paid visits to Plano available to full-time staffers and spouses to help them make the relocation decision, as well as a lump-sump payment if they decide to go through with the move.

Lost power in a winter storm? Just hook up a Toyota Prius like this guy did

Thu, Jan 9 2014

The Toyota Prius' battery pack just got something like a five-star rating from a truly seasoned professional – a 50-year aircraft technician. Bob Osemlak, who'd served more than three of those five decades with the Canadian Air Force, brought electricity back to his home in December during a heavy ice storm thanks to his gas-electric car. His ingenuity allowed him to turn on lights, furnace, refrigerator and the TV. The Thornhill, Ontario resident lost power for nearly a day on December 21 – not nearly as much as millions of other people hit by the recent storm - and so he still set about using his Prius for backup power, according to EV World. His ingenuity allowed him to turn on lights, furnace, refrigerator and the TV. Being an aircraft technician for so long brought Osemlak the ability to home-brew his V2H set-up that he urges other people to avoid, for safety reasons. He had planned for a potential power outage by installing an outlet on his furnace and, when the storm struck, he ran a cord through the basement window to the car. During the nine hours Osemlak used his Prius for backup power, the car's fuel gauge only reduced less than one bar, or roughly the equivalent of a gallon of gasoline. It wasn't the first time Osemlak had played with his vehicle. In the 1960s, while stationed in Winnepeg, Manitoba, he created a car starter. Every hour, the car would start up and run for 10 minutes to avoid being frozen solid in frigid winter temperatures.
