Offered for bids is a beautiful 2011 Toyota Corolla S in Barcelona Red with the S Trim . There are many features ;I have downloaded a picture of the window sticker so you can see exactly what is included.. The only options that I added was an up-graded sound system that includes XM radio, auxiliary audio jack ,USB port with ipod connectivity , CD text display, auto sound leveling , hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth Wireless . The Sports Package was included in the S Model that adds many features such as underbody spoilers ,black headlight housing and fog lights ,power heated outside mirrors ,rear spoiler , chrome tipped exhaust and multi-reflector halogen headlights . New Michelin tires were installed about a month ago ; nothing handles better than Michelin tires on a great handling car for mileage and safety . Looking at photos of the roof of the 2011 Corolla ,if you see small the black fin in the center near the back of the roof ,the Corolla has the upgraded sound system that includes built-in XM capability and other features ; only a few Corollas have this option .You can expect to get over 30 MPG in normal mixed driving ;you will get 38-42 MPG highway if you drive sensibly . The engine is smooth and powerful with excellent acceleration .
The exterior of the Corolla is in excellent condition with no dings or dents ,maybe a small rock chip or two if you look close enough ,and maybe a light scratch or two is possible . I have seen new cars that didn't look this good ;it has always been garaged . Additional features include side moldings and door edge guards on all doors.
The interior is in excellent condition , mats look new ,the seats have no tears ,spots or stains ,headliner is spotless and car has never been smoked in , All glass is in like new with no chips ,etc . Plenty of storage with two glove compartments and a center console . The trunk is spacious with a spotless mat and a never used spare. The trunk can be opened with the inside release, the key and the release button on the remote . All manuals are included and two keys with attached remotes .
A note about pricing -I used Edmonds and NADA websites to appraise this car and based on the condition and mileage the BIN price is in line with the private party price given . Both sites appraised dealer price at over 16000.00 so I feel that my prices are fair . The reserve price is the minimum that I would take for the car. It will be for sale locally also so if you are interested don't wait .
This Corolla was driven mainly by my wife for pleasure only.
The pictures were made in partial shade so there are some shadows on the exterior and the interior . If you want additional pictures or have any questions , please ask !! If you want to contact me personally ,call 252-453-2545 home or 252-339-3156 cell .

Race Recap: 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans defines 'endurance'
Mon, 16 Jun 2014Commenting on the rush of events that rocked beginning and end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paul Truswell of Radio Le Mans said "the race is about the ability to endure, not just the ability of drivers to do what they do for a long time." The entire race machine, all the way down to the pit boards and radios, has to survive the stress and abuse of the entire day. This was the race to prove those words.
There were two Toyotas, two Porsches and three Audis, five of the seven led the race at some point, six of the seven ran in the top three. Toyota will be hugely disappointed that it didn't win when its car and drivers were so, so strong, but they gave Audi the kind of scare we haven't seen since the best of Peugeot's days, and Toyota did a better job of it even in the loss. Porsche blew away everyone's expectations, falling 3.5 hours short of a fairy tale ending that would have made Disney cry.
But Le Mans doesn't really do fairy tales. Well, not that fairy tale. Audi's Twitter handle during the event was #welcomechallenges. As usual, Le Mans answered for the entire field.
Sales incentive growth clustered around brands with few CUVs, trucks
Wed, 24 Sep 2014While it's arguably been around the longest, the dominance of the four-door sedan has been under threat for many years. As a further sign of the hurtin' that SUVs and crossovers have put on today's four-doors, a new report from Automotive News points to the increasing use of incentives by brands reliant on cars and light on CUVs and pickups.
Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Kia have all been stung by double-digit increases in their incentives-to-transaction price ratio, according to AN, which cites data from TrueCar. Honda's ratio is up 14 percent, while Toyota, VW and Kia are up 18, 15 and 19 percent, respectively.
"Most of the incentive growth we have seen is in product segments with low demand - midsized or large sedans," TrueCar CEO John Krafcik told AN. "As this trend goes on, the brands with three-sedan strategies are going to be in worse shape on incentive spending than the crossover brands."
Incrementally better than ever | 2017 Toyota 86 First Drive
Tue, Oct 4 2016We'd love to tell you that the incremental upgrades bestowed upon Toyota's rear-wheel-drive coupe as it made its transition from Scion FR-S to Toyota 86 have transformed it into a perfect sportscar. If only a few more horsepower, shorter rear-end gearing, and tiny aero updates were enough to quell all the complaints that enthusiasts have leveled at the machine since the platform first hit the road in 2012, this review would have been so much more satisfying to write. Sadly, that's not the case. Don't get us wrong. The 86 is still extremely fun to toss around a twisty road. The chassis is impressively balanced, the steering is direct, and the shifter is sweet. Sorry to impart upon you this well-worn trope, but the old adage that it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow is, in this case, completely accurate. The 2017 Toyota 86 is nothing if not entertaining. But it's not completely new. It hasn't been transformed. It is, in the end, the same as it ever was. It will take about three minutes of your time to watch the videos below, in which we cover pretty much everything that's new for the 2017 Toyota 86. Toyota 86s equipped with manual transmissions get a five-pony boost to 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque. Automatic models soldier forth with a carryover 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 200 hp and 151 lb-ft. Apparently, more than half of Scion FR-S buyers chose the automatic. That's unfortunate, as it drains a good deal of the fun out of the 86 experience. Choose the manual and you'll be rewarded with an easy clutch and a rewarding short-throw shifter. And, as we said, five more ponies, courtesy of intake and exhaust tweaks and the polishing of some internal engine components. The only upside to the automatic is improved fuel economy of 24 miles per gallon in the city and 32 on the highway. Manual 86s are EPA-rated at 21/28. Along with the small bump in power, the 2017 86 gets a 4.3:1 rear-end gear ratio in lieu of the old 4.1:1 unit. That ought to translate into a small improvement in acceleration that really only matters on paper. In the real world, on actual roads, the difference is negligible. To eke the most out of the 86, you have to constantly work the shifter and keep the engine north of 5,000 rpm. It's still not particularly quick, but it's definitely fun. There's plenty of noise inside the 86, from the wind, the road, and the engine.
