Up for auction is a 2002
Toyota Corolla that was recently donated to a national charitable foundation
and is being sold with NO
RESERVE. The vehicle is equipped
with a 4cyl engine and automatic transmission. The odometer shows
127,208 miles. It’s fairly well equipped with most of the
options. The seats are gray and appear to be in decent condition,
although a good detail will make a huge difference. The exterior of
the car is silver and is showing signs of wear and is faded. It has
a few door dings and scratches. The tires appear to HAVE ROUGHLY 25%
road life left. Please

This vehicle comes with
a clear California Title and Registration is valid through
11/14. All taxes, fees, and
penalties due to the DMV, are the responsibility of the buyer. Smog (California Buyers) If you are a California
resident intending on registering this vehicle in the State of California, AND
not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or
a “certificate of
non-compliance” along with the sale. This will allow buyers to pay
the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV
and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the
certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the
buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity. There will be a 50.00 fee added to your total amount.

donated! Therefore we do not have ANY
information regarding the history or condition of the vehicle other than what
we can see. We do not perform any
physical or mechanical inspections on the vehicle. No vehicles are test driven so we cannot
vouch for any drivability nor condition of the motor or transmission unless it
is evident when the vehicle is dropped off.

result in buyer’s privileges revoked and vehicle to be relisted on ebay.

checks may be used for payment but vehicle will not be released until cashier’s
check clears (up to three business days).

discovered after the purchase of the vehicle there will be no recourse offered

Next-gen Toyota Tacoma mule caught towing in the desert
Wed, 13 Aug 2014With the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon set to arrive in dealers in the near future, it's high time Toyota got to work on a replacement for the Tacoma, a vehicle whose present generation debuted in the middle of the Bush Administration. Now, we have images of that new pickup undergoing testing.
Our spy photographers picked up this heavily modified mule undergoing tow tests in the desert. It rides on a modified version of the current Taco's frame, as evidenced by shots of its undercarriage, although our spies cite the lack of riveted sections as indications that the current truck's footprint should remain unchanged.
Aside from underbody changes, this particular Tacoma featured a six-speed manual transmission, which we're expecting to be joined by a six-speed automatic. The current four- and five-speed autos found on the current truck will almost certainly be killed off. Marching to the grave with those slushboxes will be the two-door Regular Cab body style. Our spies are expecting Toyota to focus its efforts on the larger, more accessible Double Cab.
Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings
Mon, May 26 2014The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year. Toyota reveals Tokyo Motor Show concepts
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Toyota is getting ready for the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, and to tease us, the Japanese automaker has released photos and information about the concept vehicles it'll be bringing to the show. In all, there'll be five world premieres from Toyota (six if you split the Voxy and Noah minivan concepts), including some vehicles that'll be released in the near future, and others that need more time to incubate.
Let's get the world premieres out first. Toyota is a pioneer of gasoline-electric hybrids, but it's also pursuing hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles. The clearest indication of this is the FCV concept, a hydrogen-powered sedan in the same vein as the the FCV-R that will bow at the auto show. (Read more about the FCV, here.)
Other world debuts include the FV2 concept (pictured), a unique, one-seat future vehicle that emphasizes the "Fun to Drive" philosophy; the JPN TAXI concept, a next-generation taxi concept designed with Japanese hospitality in mind; and the Voxy and Noah concepts, next-generation minivans that differ most in exterior design cues and are scheduled to launch in the Japanese market in early 2014.
