Ra22 1975 Celica, Restored Body, Full Suspension, Fender Mirrors, New Oem All on 2040-cars
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States
RARE.....RARE....RARE...Chance to own this one of a kind 1st Generation Toyota Celica RA22.
Up for sale is my much loved 1975 Toyota Celica. This car is truly one of a kind. It's is the rare 1975 model which has the earlier short nose body style with the larger engine found in the later long body style. Was only produced in the 1975 and what makes it even rarer is the fact is was a factory AC car and was even a Manual Transmission. Car has only 68k original miles. This car has undergone a full body restoration. The body prior to restoration was very mint and has never been in an accident so need to worry about patched panels, rust, or filler. Body has been painted Toyota Super White II. The engine bay, firewall, door mirrors, door sill trim, and rocker moldings have been fully shaved. The body of this car is flawless!!! Spare tire well has also been shaved and frame supports added from rail to rail on the underbody for chassis strengthening. Late model Celica seats have been mounted in the car. Studs were welded into the floor so late model Celica racing seat brackets can be used also if you want to add some old school recaros, etc. Just bolt up and go. There is no engine or transmission. This leaves limitless options for the purchaser to take the completion in any direction they wish. Whether it be a factory inexpensive 20R or a high dollar Corvette LS or Supra 2JZ swap. MAKE IT YOUR OWN!!! Your engine choice could require modifications to the chassis though. Don't expect a bolt up swap. Tunnel / Firewall modifications, welding on mounts to the crossmember, etc could be expected. The stock Heater box / Fan AC Blower and all dash panels, controls, and gauges I do have and will come with the car. They are all in perfect working condition. I also have a new RA21 vent blower panel that attaches to the box and under the dash which has AC controls and two vents. Looks great! Brake lines need to be ran. Fuel lines need to be ran. Wiring installed. Front and rear RA21 Smooth bumpers included. Great condition but they do have a few dings. Other than that the car is complete and assembled for transport. I can put all of the extras inside the car if you wish to ship. Full modification and parts list is as follows: Toyota Super White II Paint Shaved Engine Bay Shaved and coated trunk floor Rear frame rail under brace Shaved door mirrors Shaved rocker moldings New OEM Toyota Fender mirrors ***SUPER RARE*** New OEM Toyota Front Windshield Weatherstrip New OEM Toyota Rear Windshield Weatherstrip New OEM Lower Door Weatherstrip New OEM Upper Door Weatherstrip New OEM Interior Window molding New OEM Quarter Window Weatherstrip New OEM Hood Weatherstrip New OEM Trunk Weatherstrip New OEM Window Clips New OEM Windshield Chrome Trim New OEM Celica Script Side Emblems New OEM Red and White Side Emblems New OEM Hood Latch Cable and Spring New OEM Hood Rest upper and Lower rubbers New OEM Hood, Fender, Trunk hardware New OEM Door Bumpers New OEM Clear Corner Lenses New OEM Headliner New TRD Replica Front Spoiler New Techno Toy Tuning Coil overs New Techno Toy Tuning Camber Plates New Techno Toy Tuning Control Arms New Techno Toy Tuning RCAs New Techno Toy Tuning Tension Rods New Techno Toy Tuning Rear 4 Links New Techno Toy Tuning Panhard / Lateral Bar AE86 Rack and Pinion Conversion New Megan Racing Inner Tie Rods New Megan Racing Outer Tie Rods New OEM Steering Boots New Custom Universal Engine Cradle with Rack Mounts New Custom Aluminum Griffin Radiator Custom Steering Column Conversion for Rack and Pinion New Engine Cradle Hardware OEM 71-72 Chrome Smiley Front and Rear Bumpers New 16x8 +10 Hyper Black Wheels New BFGoodrich KDW 225-45-16 Tires New Wilwood 4 piston Big Brake Kit New Wilwood Reverse Mount Pedal Box New Wilwood Dual Brake Master Cylinders New Wilwood Clutch Master Cylinder ...its possible Im missing a few items also. 2 Totes full of spare parts included. I purchase a parts car a few years ago so spare front and rear parts are all included. The factory rear end in still installed and in perfect condition with a working e-brake but Im including a Ford 8.8 Housing if you wish to set it up for the car with a high horsepower goal. Comes with a Ford Racing Trak Lok, Ford Racing 3.73 Ring and Pinion, and 93 cobra rear brakes. HUGE SAVINGS HERE!!! Original Fuel tank included (cleaned and ready to be reinstalled) All original wiring. EVERYTHING Anything and everything else I have related to the car I haven't listed will be included. If you have been searching for a vintage Toyota dream car this is the one for you. No need to spend months or years tracking down rare or non existing parts and spending thousands upon thousands of dollars. I've done all that hard work and it's all included. ******For those that hesitate because of price, there is way over $20k in this car. This was no Maaco paint job. All dings were removed by hand, no filler. The added in rear roll pan was all hand rolled and welded in. PPG paint. Hard clear in the engine bay so no yellowing will occur due to heat either. Not a corner was cut here. The quality is second to none. The starting bid is set accordingly but you for sure will get more than you pay for and this car will not depreciate like most.****** Serious
bidders only. Full payment is due within seven days of the auction end. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the vehicle at sales@the75celica.com or through eBay. |

Toyota raises Japanese base wages for first time since 2008
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Toyota is on track for record profits, and in return, its Japanese workers are receiving their first increase in base wages since 2008, plus higher pay based on seniority and a larger bonus for 2014. The Japanese automaker predicts the average laborer will net a 2.9 percent income gain.
The average Toyota employee will earn 2,700 yen ($26.28) more each month, a 0.8 percent increase from last year. Workers will also receive about 7,300 yen ($71.09) more monthly based on seniority and promotions. Finally, the company's union pushed through a median bonus of 2.44 million yen ($23,768) for 2014, the highest in 6 years.
The pay boost comes as Toyota forecasts a record 1.9-trillion yen ($18.5 billion) profit for the fiscal year ending on March 31, according to Bloomberg. It has been helped by the Japanese government's efforts to weaken the yen on international markets and expand inflation. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been asking businesses to increase compensation to end years of deflation and offset upcoming higher sales taxes. Honda and Nissan have also raised their wages there in recent months.
Toyota wants you to meet an 'obsessed' hydrogen fuel cell engineer
Thu, May 8 2014Like a television-broadcasting company covering the Olympics, Toyota is looking to market its future in hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle production by taking the personal approach. In this case, the Japanese automaker is telling the backstory of Jackie Birdsall, an engineer at Toyota Technical Center who Toyota says is "obsessed" with fuel-cell technology. A Sacramento native, Birdsall is responsible for testing fuel-cell vehicles and making sure hydrogen stations fill the tanks of the cars in a "reasonable" timeframe. Long a gearhead, she attended Flint, MI's Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) and, among other places, worked for the California Fuel Cell Partnership before joining Toyota in 2012. Her first car was an '87 Camry. That's one personal side of Toyota's hydrogen push, and shows another way Toyota is introducing the world to this new powertrain (see also: winter performance). The nitty-gritty is made up of things like working with FirstElement Fuel Inc. on a hydrogen-refueling network in California. As for its fuel-cell sedan, which was displayed in FCV prototype form at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January and is due next year, Toyota said it expects the car to have a full-tank range of about 300 miles and a five-minute refueling time. That's if Ms. Birdsall has anything to say about it. Check out Toyota's press release about Birdsall below. Talkin' 'Bout a Revolution A healthy obsession leads Jackie Birdsall and TTC to the forefront of history The word she keeps using is "obsessed." Jackie Birdsall became "obsessed" with cars when she was a teenager. That made her "obsessed" with the history of auto icons like Henry Ford and Lee Iacocca. In 2003, she did an internship with Daimler-Chrysler, leading to an "obsession" with hydrogen fuel cell technology. And now, as an engineer at Toyota Technical Center, Birdsall is "obsessed" with bringing fuel cell technology to the masses. But perhaps you need to be obsessed when you're trying to change the world. After all, revolutions don't blossom from complacency. Leading an alternative fuel revolution is just what Birdsall and her partners on the Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle team are doing. Collectively, they're finding tangible ways to reduce fossil fuels in the automobile world and figuring out how hydrogen fuel cells can be useful and affordable. In 2015, that obsession will bear fruit when Toyota's FCV hits the markets in California, Japan and Europe.
