1995 Convertible Toyota Celica. Auto. Engine with 75k miles, transmission with 135k. Car runs, idles, accelerates, and shifts smoothy. These Celica GTs came with the Camry engine and transmission, so you can trust it to be super reliable! 34 mpg average. Was an Atlanta, GA car, so the underside of the car is unbelievably rust-free! Runs like a champ! Because it's a '95, you don't have to have emissions inspections, so you'll save money for sure!
Brand new things:
Rear struts, radiator, plugs, large cold air intake, driver c/v axle, fluids, painted calipers, valve cover gasket, wipers, plugs
Newer things:
Timing belt, TRD floor mats, 2 year old top, distributor, fuel pump, gas cap, wiper motor, recharged and cold a/c
Not so great things:
Normal Toyota clearcoat flaking on passenger side and trunk. (You could wet sand and re-clear the rough spots on the passenger side and trunk; hood needs a refresh of red and clear.) Driver rear window needs help going up and down to keep it aligned. The power antenna no longer goes back up. A few dents and such around the car.
Vehicle is sold as-is, and must be picked up. Car is also listed for sale locally, so the right to end the auction upon local sale is reserved.

Toyota FCV puts hydrogen fuel cell twist on ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Fri, Aug 22 2014You've probably seen your fair share of Ice Bucket Challenge videos online this week, which are meant to raise money to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often called "Lou Gehrig's Disease." Hopefully, you've seen ours. We've watched a lot of these videos, but haven't seen one that makes an alt-fuel point quite like a new video from Toyota. Julie Hamp, the CCO of Toyota North America, lost a sister-in-law to ALS last year, so for her the cause is personal. Instead of just dumping icy-cold water on her head, Hamp uses water from the FCV fuel cell vehicle parked next to her. Because, of course, a hydrogen fuel cell car emits nothing but water vapor. Toyota didn't run a lot of hydrogen through the car to collect water, it just got enough to top off the ice bucket. Using the water emissions from a hydrogen vehicle in a creative way is not a new trick. Two years ago, the California Fuel Cell Partnership made the point that you can drink the emissions (just like Mercedes-Benz did earlier this year), but admitted that "fuel cells produce about the same amount of water as gasoline vehicle – about 1/3 cup for a full day of driving." Still, for a good cause, we'll accept the mix of tap water and "emissions." Check out the video below, if you haven't had enough already. This content is hosted by a third party. Toyota RAV4 EV lease gets cut in half to $299/month
Tue, 27 Aug 2013If you're in the market for a new electric vehicle, now is definitely the time to buy or lease. Following price drops on just about every other EV on the market, Toyota is looking to push a few more all-electric RAV4 crossovers out the door over the Labor Day weekend. The Detroit News is reporting that, through September 3, anyone looking to get into a RAV4 EV in Los Angeles or San Francisco, can get a deal: a $299 a month lease (no word on down payment, though) or zero-percent financing for 60 months for buyers.
The $49,800 RAV4 EV normally leases for twice as much - $599 a month - so this move could be an attempt to sell more of the 2,600 units Toyota has planned to produce. Or maybe, if you thought $599 was a fair price, you can now get two RAV4 Evs. Although temporary, the price drop comes at a time when many other EVs on the market have had their prices reduced, including the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, Smart Fortwo ED and Honda Fit EV, not to mention already low prices for the Fiat 500e and Chevy Spark EV.
