2000 Toyota Celica GT, White with 16" chrome rims, automatic, carbon fiber hood. 212,800 miles, I have been the owner since 65,000 miles, oil changed every 3-5000 miles...no leaks whatsoever. Doesn't visibly burn any oil or smoke out the exhaust, but it will go through about a quart every 3-4K miles between changes due to the age of the engine and the miles on it. Rims are pitted in places, and hood needs new clear coat. Some minor damage on the passenger front ground effects area behind wheel....door opens fine, but does rub. Fuel door fell off due to the usual rust issue on the hing, I still have it. dings and dents here and there, but nothing else major. Brand new tires put on the front today, rear tires are about 50% maybe. New battery 6 months ago, new plugs last week. Car has never been in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance (tires, brakes, ac charge, etc.) except when I broke something myself. A/C works, but seems to have a very slow leak possibly....could just be the summer heat/sun causing the issue since during dusk and at night it blows cold. Drivers seat has the usual tear on the left side, steering wheel could use a cover or replacement since the leather is mostly gone at the top. drivers side front rug is damaged from not using the mat in a while. Runs and drives fine, I've been driving it daily for 8 years, but I bought a newer car to replace it. Overall car is in fair condition body/interior wise, and I'd say good to very good mechanically for its mileage. Toyota will use addressable TV advertising to target potential Prius Prime customers. By choosing to advertise in households with specific attributes, Toyota hopes to grab the attention of buyers who "see their vehicle as an extension of their consumption of advanced technology," according to Toyota Motors Sales media manager Lisa McQueen. The ad depicts a person who is skeptical of various inventions throughout history until he finds himself inside the Prius Prime. Hyundai has also used addressable TV ads for its Genesis brand. Read more at Automotive News. Two Florida men have each been sentenced to over 10 years in prison for biodiesel credit fraud. Thomas Davanzo and Robert Fedyna of Gen-X Energy Group and its subsidiary Southern Resources and Commodities were convicted of buying fuel that had already been sold with Renewable Identification Numbers, then fraudulently claiming more credits on that fuel. The scheme raked in more than $46 million, mostly in selling the fraudulent credits. Critics of the Renewable Fuel Standard point to incidents like this as a reason to oppose the program. Read more from Reuters. Volvo electric buses in Luxembourg will use Heliox Fast Charge systems. Public transport operator Sales-Lentz has ordered three of the Heliox systems that will charge the buses using pantograph (overhead wire) contacts. The chargers will be placed at end-of-route stops for opportunistic charging of the transport agency's four Volvo 7900 electric buses. The 450-kW, Wi-Fi-enabled OppCharge system automatically connects the charger to contact plates on the roofs of the vehicles, charging them in three to six minutes. Read more at Green Car Congress. Toyota to shock with Supra concept for Detroit Auto Show?

We've written about approximately 187,000 rumors about a return of the Toyota Supra to the land of living cars. There are a couple of good reasons for this: first, Toyota won't stop dropping hints about a new halo sports car. Late this summer, Toyota sales guru Kazuo Ohara called a Supra successor "one of the options we have" - a comment followed by a hint that there would be "better news" on the subject in the future.
The second reason for all the Toyota tales is, of course, that we all have missed the Supra since its departure from the US market in 1998. So, when a member of the Autoblog team is party to a nudge-and-wink-filled conversation about a new Supra concept headed to January's Detroit Auto Show, we tend to listen up.
A 400+ horsepower hybrid sports car would match up pretty well with the upcoming NSX.
