This is old reliable Celica. There is some rust that you can see in the pictures but not very much. The engine runs great but does burn some oil - a quart between 400 and 800 miles depending on how you drive. The check engine light has been on since I bought it but it passed the tailpipe test at Echeck. The only running problem is that it won't idle very well for a couple of minutes after you fill the gas tank. Other than that it really runs incredibly well. I had to buy a van for the 3 kids so this car must go - very low reserve.

Toyota investing $30 million in Indiana for more Highlander production
Sun, 28 Jul 2013Indiana seems like the place to be if you're looking for work in a car factory. In May, Subaru announced plans to invest $400 million in its Lafayette, Indiana plant, creating 900 new jobs in the process and increasing capacity to 300,000 units per year. Now, Toyota has announced plans to invest $30 million in its Princeton, Indiana plant, 170 miles south of the Subaru factory, which also builds the Camry.
Toyota's investment will create an additional 200 jobs and increase the factory's volume by 15,000 units. Toyota announced an investment in the plant in February of 2012 that bumped volume up from 300,000 to 350,000 units. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, as the Princeton facility is officially known, produces the recently revised Toyota Highlander, the Sequoia and the Sienna. It employs 4,500 people, and this announcement represents Toyota's tenth production increase in under two years.

Toyota announces two recalls affecting 1M Corolla, Matrix and Lexus IS models
Wed, 30 Jan 2013The recall bug strikes Toyota again. The automaker has issued a voluntary recall of three models that, in total, represent more than one million units. Around 752,000 2003-2004 Toyota Corolla and Matrix models are being recalled for airbag concerns, while a windshield wiper issue is causing the recall for close to 270,000 Lexus IS sedans from the 2006-2012 model years.
Completely unrelated to the small airbag-related recall issued earlier in the week, the Corolla and Matrix recall is caused by a faulty airbag control module that could potentially short circuit, which could lead to the front airbags or seat belt pretensioners deploying. The Lexus recall is due to a wiper arm nut that wasn't tightened properly, which can cause the wipers to not work when trying to clear heavy buildup such as snow.
